w760i phone could not switch on after i switched it off while boarding a flight. I have my phone fully charged the night before my flight. I have also tried to charge the phone after I couldn't switch it on but it's not working at all.

When I close my phone using the slider the screen goes black but once the lights on the keys go out an a press any button I can see my phones screen again. Then when I open my it goes black again until the lights go out then I press any button an the screen comes back again. Please can someone help me how I could fix this issue.

My problem: Some days ago I noticed that there is something with my cable-connection at my W760i. When I hear music with Headphones it sounds very strange. Sometimes the singer is away and I can only hear the Background music or the music is only on one ear. I've tested the cable if the problem is there, but no it is ok. And the charger and the PC-cable are working without faults too. So there must be a Defect at the phone, I think. I want to send my W760i to Sony Ericsson, because I've still warranty, but I can't find any address.

I read through another thread about unlocking the 'up' key as well as the right and left soft key mods and the camera mod and so i did the itm and xml files but after restarting my phone the only mod that kept i think was the camera mod. do i have to do the 'unbranding' although its technically already debranded so that i can make mods to it? how can i delete some of the locked media/application files?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen calling some one, there is an option on the right buttom corner of the screen as: "SPEAKER ON" nad you can switch to the speaker at any time while calling or talking with one button only. Few days ago it has been changed in my screen and it shows "Sound" instead. I should press that and then choose the speaker on. It makes it difficult if you're driving or don't have good visibility. Does any one know if I can switch to the original option: choosing the "speaker on" with one button push?

When i put it in my pocket, and after a while i take it out and i found that my phone is switched off. When i tried to switch it on again, it didn't work. I have to connect it to the charger then it can switch on again. And after it can be switched on, i have to reset all my time and date again. This happened almost like every single time i put it in my pocket. Did i press the reset button or i don't know. Please help me. It's really annoying. One thing im confused is that why do i have to connect to the charger to turned it on after it turned off by itself. View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
I would like the name and phone displayed on screen when a call is coming in. Any ideas. Can't find a thing in the manual.

It was working fine but now no matter how I try turning it on, the buttons just light up and it vibrates but nothing comes on the screen. Is this a battery problem or a screen problem? I have to take out the battery before I can try turning it on again. And also it won't charge. I tried searching for answers but haven't found anything.
