I have an ELM J10i2. I find conversations nothing but a pain and lose messages. is there anyway i can just view messages the regular way through inbox and delete or disable the conversations?

Update #1: After downloading a .jar file in Net front, you no longer need to wait for the full file name to slide by.
Update #2: The camera icon in the main menu looks nicer.
Update #3: After installing an application from the downloads menu, it will show a smaller version of the app's icon.
Update #4: The main menu opens notably faster than before.
Update #5: You can now turn Clear Voice and Noise Shield on and off from the Calls menu in Settings whereas before you could only do it whilst in a call.
Update #6: The significant blue-orange horizontal lines have been reduced to insignificant, hard-to-see purple horizontal lines.
I wanted to upgrade the external memory to max on my ELM, but come across some dilemma and would to ask you guys. Are ELM (J10i2) support Micro SDHC version? Coz both SDHC and Non-SDHC pricing is not so different in my country so might as well buy the HC (if supported)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI notice some problem regarding my SE ELM's camera flash.It seem can't be turn off.Though I already selected no flash option,the phone still fires it.I think it some kind a software bugs because when selecting twilight landscape in scene menu (where the option is having no flash) the flash is completely off.I tried reflashing R7CA61, it seem doesn't solve anything,anybody could help me on this and anybody experience the same?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere has been a lot going on about J10i2 Elm's firmware release "R7CA061". I do not know if the answers team is aware of this particular firmware, but if so, me, and many other Elm users are waiting for answers on these question:
1) Why is R7CA061 only available via FOTA? SE Update Service even thinks that R7CA061 is older than R7BA076, even though R7CA061 only came out less than a week ago.
2) Why are there no official notes about this release on the Sony Ericsson website? It is not listed here http://www.sonyericsson.com/update?cc=gb&lc=en . It almost seems as if Sony Ericsson "accidentally" released this firmware in a test stage.
3) Why do the widgets in the home screen no longer work after this update?
I performed a firmware update on my Elm j10i2 phone. I am able to connect with a Wi-Fi and browse web pages with it, but i cannot use Wi-Fi anymore for e-mail or Java Me apps.
My settings are:
Internet settings: allow local connections
Streaming settings: allow local connections
Wi-Fi : connected with a favorite and high-priority network
If i look for IMAP4/SMTP connection settings, i get the "internet settings" menu, indicating 'allow local connections Yes', but you cannot save it (it says not available now, probably because it expects GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts)
If i check my e-mail, i get the message "you have to select an internet account now" - after confirmation, i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu.
If i start a Java application (for example AccuWeather), it does not connect over Wi-Fi, and if i choose the app's options, and then "internet settings", i get again the unsavable "internet settings" menu, this time indicating 'allow local connections No'.
Did I miss some settings menu somewhere ? Or do you need to configure GSM/GPRS/3G data accounts to get it right?
It's pretty annoying because Wi-Fi was my main incentive to buy this phone.
Does SE Elm have conversations? I'm texting all the time and I think of buying it, but If I can't get the option the way I did with G705(customize_upgrade.xml), I'll buy G705 again.

This is the best new feature on a phone I've seen for ages. I have the W760i without this IM type feature. Is it possible to load this app to the 760 and if so where do I get it and go about putting it in?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I reset my phone I stupidly put in the wrong date in the "date and time" setup. Had texted two of my contacts before I noticed this. Have now changed calendar date to correct date but in my conversations list these two contacts always default to the top. I thought when I passed the date which I had incorrectly put in first this would remedy the problem. However I have now passed this date and these two contacts still aways default to the top of my conversations list. Does anyone know how to sort this without me having to completely reset my phone from start again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen calling some one, there is an option on the right buttom corner of the screen as: "SPEAKER ON" nad you can switch to the speaker at any time while calling or talking with one button only. Few days ago it has been changed in my screen and it shows "Sound" instead. I should press that and then choose the speaker on. It makes it difficult if you're driving or don't have good visibility. Does any one know if I can switch to the original option: choosing the "speaker on" with one button push?

When i put it in my pocket, and after a while i take it out and i found that my phone is switched off. When i tried to switch it on again, it didn't work. I have to connect it to the charger then it can switch on again. And after it can be switched on, i have to reset all my time and date again. This happened almost like every single time i put it in my pocket. Did i press the reset button or i don't know. Please help me. It's really annoying. One thing im confused is that why do i have to connect to the charger to turned it on after it turned off by itself. If i turn the phone off manually, i can turn it back on but not when i put the phone in my pocket.

View 4 Replies View Relatedafter having a great experience with the w580 i decided to buy a w760. so far i love the phone just the way it is. the phone is suppose to be just a retail phone from SE. I read through another thread about unlocking the 'up' key as well as the right and left soft key mods and the camera mod and so i did the itm and xml files but after restarting my phone the only mod that kept i think was the camera mod. do i have to do the 'unbranding' although its technically already debranded so that i can make mods to it? how can i delete some of the locked media/application files?

When I try to delete it via messages it just keeps saying "deleting" until my phone lags and I can't do anything. I then restart it and none of the text messages have been deleted. I then downladed an app called Handcent and it seems like that's freezing up too.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded my X10a to 2.3.3 about two months ago without incident, so I don't know if this problem has anything to do with the upgrade itself since I did not have this problem in 2.1. However, I cannot delete text message conversations in the 2.3.3 stock rom. This is what is happening: when I attempt to delete a message it goes through the cycle but the message still appears with a subject "no subject", a date of "12/31/1969" and a time "19:00" in Handcent SMS. In Messaging I have opened blank messages and pressed delete conversation and then confirm to delete, but the result is message deleted. When I review all my conversations, the message I just deleted still appears in messaging. I have cleared both the Messaging and Handcent SMS application's data and cache. Rebooted the phone and guess what; all the conversations remain. What gives..

I done the new update on my Xperia x10, and have had this problem since.. Individual sms messages will delete, but the conversation name (or Draft) stays there in the main viewing screen......Does anyone know how to get them to delete? I have used MyBackup to backup and restore messages to see if it refreshes, but the empty conversations keep coming back .
