I've tried things on the internet, but no success.I've installed an app and remove from BB which doesn't remove icon. Some say the BB has to be Rebooted to clean up left over things. I find this unusual that a normal user wouldn't know how to uninstall apps properly especially having to reboot.I want to be able to restart (reboot) my BB without pulling the battery.

Today, I would try to open my e-mail/messaging after a message came through, getting to the icon was VERY slow, along with it would not pull up the next screen so that I could see what messages came through. I pulled the battery and sd card, and it still happened.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor about the past two-three weeks, my Curve 8530 has started randomly rebooting - during calls, not during calls - I have not identified a pattern about when. When it comes back up 5-10 minutes later, the battery was always completely drained. I ordered a new battery and fully charged it. Day one with the new battery was uneventful - no random reboots, no loss of all battery charge after one 15 minute phone call, although the battery was low by the end of the day.
Today is day two with the new battery and I had another random reboot, however, this time at least my battery wasn't drained when it came back up. What causes these random reboots? Is there any way to get them to stop?
I am with Verizon and already did the *228 programming update before the new battery.
How can I get the same effect as a battery pull with out actually doing it or loading an app? I have tried the QuickPull app and it IS NOT WORKING. I can get it to download but it wont run. I know there has to be some quick way to do it. I have an otterbox defender case on it and its a pain to take it off.

View 4 Replies View Related3 days ago i was using my phone like normal when i got a white sceen, ive tried pulling the battery but it just goes straight back to the white screen. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix this? Bear in mind i cant connect to Blackberry Software Desktop because for some reason it wont recognise my device, i want to state the phone hasnt been dropped and hasnt been near any water, it just randonly went white.

Sometimes the number icon appears so I can type in a time but it doesnt recognize it most of the time & sets some random time. I can do all of the other functions in the clock besides set the alarm. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have 8530 and OS 5, last night i just downloaded some software, acurate weather and 1 theme and true caller from application world, system asked for restart and after that i restarted and it moves upto the window when my carrier logo appears and stuck there only, i removed battery many times and tried but same situation its not getting started, tried to connect with desktop software but show disconnected as its not completely starting.i removed battery and hold on charging and then inserted battery and restarted but same situation.

I fell asleep with it rebooting on the charger, but when I woke up around eight hours later it still wasn't finished rebooting. The white line was only about 3/4 of the way full and it wasn't moving, so I took the battery out to reboot it again. I will get the red X that messages aren't sent, then "retries exceeded", "mobile equipment status failed", . I also get odd error messages."SMS error 7, message id 32 general problems".I have no idea, and neither did google about that error message.
I have the BB Curve 8530.I tried to move my calculator from it's original spot, and all of a sudden it disappeared.I have no idea where it went.I tried looking in all the folders, but couldn't see it anywhere.Is there a way for me to search for its location on the phone, or is there a way of re-installing it?

1. I have two e-mail accounts set up on my phone. One the one, the red * alert symbol always shows up on that email account's folder, but for the other one the red * alert symbol for new messages shows up on the separate "messages" folder. how do i fix this?
2. I keep randomly receving the message alert symbol (the red *) on my SMS folder, but I click it and i don't have any new messages and all of my messages are read... what's the deal here?
I just dowloaded and installed desktop software 5.13 and am now not getting any email updates on my curve.I did change me email password in Hotmail, but now cannot reconfigure either of Outlook and my device to allow for continued delivery to my device.I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I've not been able to find anything via Google or even Microsoft.

Worked but not on my netbook (I need it to work on my netbook for tethering)

When she takes photos and saves them, they do not show up there. We both have the same store pictures and folder settings. Interestingly, I pulled her battery yesterday and all the photos started showing up again. But, today she is having problems saving pictures and seeing them in the media folder.

The only apps that I have opened that possibly check the internet are facebook & my weather network app. I have the weather app set to check every hour. So how could it drop so fast? I also have wifi turned on but does that kill it that quickly?

BBM, some web, few apps running).I unplug my phone around 7am in the morning and by roughly 3:30-4pm the battery has almost died. Now during that time all I'm doing is sending BBM messages (no pictures), minimal SMS messages and the only app I have running is 'Weather Bug'. Is this normal for the curve battery to die so quickly? I've read about other users saying that they can easily get a days worth of use out of their battery and they still have sufficient enough charge.

1: The battery life it bad! I took it off the charger today at about 9:00, and have used some texting, about 20 minutes of Pandora, and a little bit of internet browsing, and now my battery is at 75%... I like in a coverage area with 5 bars (more on next one), and I am not using wifi very much, with screen at 10%, 10 seconds off, and auto dim, so I don't know what it is...
2: As above, I have 5 bars in my house, but when I hold the phone it will go down to two or one, sometimes zero, switch to no service, and not get good signal until I set it down and leave it there for a couple seconds. Very annoying, because it makes it hard to load web pages sometimes. I would use wifi but it is slower and less reliable than Sprint's network for some reason. If someone could help me with these problems, or at least suggest some things, that would be great!
I could not seem to find the right postings to help me with this.I attached a simple small .jpg file and sent it to the new Sprint 8530 BB phone to use as a desktop background.The attachment is a 'Winmail.dat' file. I have downloaded the file to what I thought to me the picture folder but it does not show up.
1) Is there a setting that would automatically show the attached pics like on my old Tmobile Blackberry? (Like an 8320 series)

Is there already a key combination (shortcut) that allows for adding a datestamp to Tasks>Notes? I use Outlook to sync my tasks to the BB. I already have a datestamp app that allows adding datestamps in Outlook, so now I am looking for the same thing on the 8530.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 8530smokey violet, my carrier is Verizon. I'm having trouble receiving and sending any type of message(bbm/email/text) while on a phone call. When I hang up ALL my message come pouring in (I guess I should be happy they come in at all). Initially all the messages came in silently so I adjusted it so that I would be notified when a message comes in. I've since removed it but I still have the problem. Any advice?
Also while at work I changed the ringing to silent but all my messages cause my phone to make noise, I assumed when I made the phone silent I assumed all messages/phone calls would be silenced. Was I incorrect?
Well here is the scoop I switched from my curve to a samsung instinct for a couple of days to try out the touch screen.It was a friends phone.I didn't like it, it was way to simple I like my apps and stuff on my blackberry.So I called sprint today to switch my phone back to my blackberry.I can get calls make calls, however I cannot access the internet or set up my e mail.I have resent my service books and received nothing.When I go back into my setup wizard and say setup e mail it says your device had a problem connecting to the server.When I got to like facebook it says no connection.I just want to get back on my interenet and e mail.

I went into the calendar options on the device and told it to keep calendar appointments forever (learned the hard way from a previous Blackberry) and yet when it syncs the calendar it wants to delete appointments older than sixty days everytime I try to sync.
I've looked all over the boards here for options but so far I think I've done everything anyone suggests. I really hope this isn't just something I have to learn to live with or a price to pay for having a Blackberry.We don't use Enterprise Server yet, so my device syncs by plugging it directly into my computer at work.
