I have it set to push my emails, is there another setting that is stopping it automatically checking for emails?

BB Bold 9700 :: Email Reconciling - If Open Messages App All Emails Are Still There
Apr 15, 2010I just got a 9700 this past week and noticed something that is a little odd. I have two email accounts set up on my BB, one is gmail while the other is my university email.
My emails seem to be reconciling fine when I look in the address-specific folder (eg, go to blackberry main menu and then the mailboxes with the little globe at the bottom). However, if I open the Messages (one that has BBM stuff, both emails, etc) app, all my emails are still there! Is this normal?
Also, I don't seem to be receiving any emails from facebook on my BB. I get them if I open my email normally on my mac, but they're not being delivered to my BB. I do have the Facebook app installed... is this the cause? I get notifications fine for facebook, just not the emails.

Jun 26, 2011I've got my Yahoo mail set up in my BB and lately it's been missing downloading some emails. So when I log into Yahoo on my PC I have messages that never showed up on my BB. I don't use an email client, so I don't know why this would be.

BB Tour 9630 :: Never Downloads HTML Emails Automatically?
Feb 17, 2010I am running 5.0.0.419 right now on my VZW Tour. I don't know if this is normal or not, but I'm having some HTML E-Mail issues. Everytime I get an email, it never downloads emails automatically. I've got my settings so that it is supposed to, but when I open one up, I just have image boxes with no images. Is there anything special I need to do? I normally just go into options and hit get images, but it would be nice if this were done automatically.

Jun 14, 2015A few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.

Will get a list of emails with about 3 lines of detail. when I tap the email it goed to four links, email, contact, calendar etc. but taping tham does nothing. Also when tapping mail from the home position it also takes you to those four links which do nothing?

Jul 4, 2011I'm going abroad and would like help with trying to stop my BB from syncing with my email accounts while I'm away. I've asked around and all people can say is to delete the email accounts from my phone and then set them up again on my return. Is there another way of stopping them from syncing up and getting the emails downloaded?

Is it possible to stilll recieve the emails but that all attachments are filtered and excluded from the pushed email into my BB? If I want to see the attachments I will goto a proper PC to see it by logging in that way. I want the BB to just let me know an email was sent, and what text/word content is in it, if any. I dont want to recieve the attachments to my blackberry.
Also, does the emails with attachments sent to blackberrys use the data, or are they not downloaded until you explicitly click to open attachments>

Mar 1, 2012Just picked up a Torch 9860 from Verizon on Wednesday to replace my ailing Storm 2. I was assured by the salesperson that I'd be able to go home and transfer data from my old phone to the new one using the Desktop Manager (I had not previously used this software). Long story short, I tried to download the Desktop Manager to three different computers without success, each time getting the same error message stating that ....C++ 2008 Distributable... needed to be on my computer. So dead end there.
Then the fun really begins. I set up my email account on the Torch and it will receive emails, but I can't open any of them. Tried the Browser- it won't connect to the internet either. This is a brand new phone, right out of the box! I've installed no apps, nothing, stock out of the box!
I went to the Verizon store yesterday and they were able to transfer my contacts over from my old phone but also could not get it to open messages or connect to the web. I can use the phone and text, but that's it.

May 13, 2012I updated my phone recently and now my emails wont open at all. it goes to a blank screen with refresh and new button at the bottom then just shuts down to the home screen. Jan 17, 2012Each time I try to send or forward an email, I get this message: "No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft."Yet when I check my online services and connections, everything appears to be "On."
Likewise, when I try to open a photo attachment (as I have done many times in the past), I get this message: "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found."
None of the information I've found under Support addresses these particular issues.
