I have been trying to acess my emails accounts from the blackberry browser but i am facing a peculiar problem. I can login in my OWA account. But I am unable to open any specific email.I can navigate otherwise through the account - go to a folder, sent items, compose mail, etc but cant open any mail.

Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust picked up a Torch 9860 from Verizon on Wednesday to replace my ailing Storm 2. I was assured by the salesperson that I'd be able to go home and transfer data from my old phone to the new one using the Desktop Manager (I had not previously used this software). Long story short, I tried to download the Desktop Manager to three different computers without success, each time getting the same error message stating that ....C++ 2008 Distributable... needed to be on my computer. So dead end there.
Then the fun really begins. I set up my email account on the Torch and it will receive emails, but I can't open any of them. Tried the Browser- it won't connect to the internet either. This is a brand new phone, right out of the box! I've installed no apps, nothing, stock out of the box!
I went to the Verizon store yesterday and they were able to transfer my contacts over from my old phone but also could not get it to open messages or connect to the web. I can use the phone and text, but that's it.

Will get a list of emails with about 3 lines of detail. when I tap the email it goed to four links, email, contact, calendar etc. but taping tham does nothing. Also when tapping mail from the home position it also takes you to those four links which do nothing?

I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got a 9700 this past week and noticed something that is a little odd. I have two email accounts set up on my BB, one is gmail while the other is my university email.
My emails seem to be reconciling fine when I look in the address-specific folder (eg, go to blackberry main menu and then the mailboxes with the little globe at the bottom). However, if I open the Messages (one that has BBM stuff, both emails, etc) app, all my emails are still there! Is this normal?
Also, I don't seem to be receiving any emails from facebook on my BB. I get them if I open my email normally on my mac, but they're not being delivered to my BB. I do have the Facebook app installed... is this the cause? I get notifications fine for facebook, just not the emails.
My Bold 9700 somehow refused to open email thread/conversation (means more than one email) with '{' character in the subject. Nothing happens when I click the thread. The phone itself doesn't freeze, i still can do other things.Anyone experienced this bug before?
FYI I use OS 5.0.0.656.

I have a N900 and have experienced unstable 3G data connection. Web pages at times won't open, take a long time to open, or simply timeout. Internet Radio re-buffering all the time.I take out the SIM card and put it into my N97. Internet connection seems fine in my N97 at the same location. I turn on the Joikuspot on my N97 (convert 3G signal into Wi-fi hotspot) and connect my N900 to Internet via wi-fi and the Internet connection on my N900 runs absolutely smooth. I can open different websites with Internet radio running in the background.
May I know if anyone can help me with this? I am running out of ideas. And I cannot carry both N900 and N97 at the same time like this to make Internet connection works for N900.

View 9 Replies View RelatedBeen using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.
