BB Bold 9000 :: Connecting Using Bluetooth With Desktop Only Works Once - Then Reset Is Needed
Mar 13, 2010I am running Vista with Black Berry Device Manager 5.0.1.11 and BBDevMgr 4.1.0.12. I am using the latest Microsoft Bluetooth drivers.
I can connect once and synch several times with my Blackberry Bold 9000. But as soon as I disconnect once, the Device Manager does not connect anymore when trying again.
I do recognice in the Bluetooth status window - both on the BB and Vista - that there is a short connection and breaks again. That repeats all the time.
If I try to search again for the BB, it is not found anymore. It is still registered in the Bluetooth devices but the Device Manager does not find it anymore.
Deleting the entry in the the Bluetooth device section does not help. I do have to do a reset (battery out or the alt-shift-del key) then I can reconnect once again.
Someone does have the same problem?
I am quite sure that the problem is in the Device Manager (not the Desktop Manager) - but it can also be a device software and / or hardware problem.

Mar 12, 2010I have previously paired my Tour 9630 with my Widows 7 laptop. At one point, Windows 7 prompted me to enter a pairing code or let it generate one for me. I foolishly let it generate on and got an archane 8-digit code which I entered on my BB and connected.I was fixing the driver issue and was instructed to remove my laptop from the list of devices on my BB. When I tried reconnecting, it asks me for a pairing code. The code it generated previously didn't work. I've even tried 0000 and other possiblities. I did finally get it connected by deleting on the PC and reinstalling it and the manual drivers. But this is a lot of work.What I cannot find out how to do is to change the pairing code for my Windows 7 laptop to something I'm likely to remember!

Mar 20, 2010I recently had a repair done to my iphone. Afterword, I was told that I had to restore the os. I downloaded and installed the latest version (3.1.3) through itunes.
When it attempted to activate the phone I got an error message saying the phone either had no sim or the sim was locked and instructing me to disconnect the phone and unlock the sim.
My sim does have a pin, but the phone itself won't allow me to unlock it. It says 'restore needed' and directs me to itunes.
It seems like a catch 22 - can't activate without unlocking the pin, can't unlock the pin without activating. As it is, I can't use the phone at all.

May 15, 2012My iPhone stopped charging right after it said I needed to update to the 5.1.1 software. Anyone else having these problems. I had my phone plugged into the charger it was on like 20 % it charged up untill it said I needed to update my software to 5.1.1 and never charged from then on. Feb 7, 2010I have finally solved the issue of setting you the BBC iplayer so it asks you how you would like to connect when you run the application rather then it always by default connecting to the service provider in my case (orange).
Step 1 - download the newest software update for the N97 you will need software version V 20.0.019 software version date is 13-10-09.
Step 2 - download the latest BBC iplayer version this should be version 2.5.0(141).
Step 3 - from the phone go to menu then go to web once opened go to options then settings once in settings go to general and set access point to ask when needed.
Step 4 - from menu go to Videos & TV go to option in Video and TV then settings and set network connection to ask when needed if its not already set to this.
Step 5 - from menu go to settings then connectivity then destinations then internet and set your required WIFI connection to priority 1.
Step 6 - from menu go to applications then open realplayer then settings then go to streaming settings then network and the access point in use should display your required WIFI connection e.g. mine shows my home network talktalk. If your required network is not displayed then open the access point in use and select the required WIFI connection.
Step 7 - turn your phone off and take out the battery for 2mins then turn your phone back on.
Step 8 - when the phone turns on and the phone displays select connection you should see internet underneath it should be displayed your WIFI connection. Do not select anything. Instead go to options then go to select access point and choose your service provider e.g. orange Internet.
Step 9 - once your phone is set-up and all widgets are set all you have to do to use BBC iplayer is go to options on the home screen select content to offline mode then content to online mode then open the BBC iplayer. The phone will then ask for a connection select your wifi connection and your away.
i hope the above steps help you and work as they worked for me just remember after you do the 8 steps above you only need to repeat step 8 everytime you wish to use BBC iplayer.
