Nokia Nseries :: 701 Bluetooth Connection Asking For Six Digit Verification Code
Jan 23, 2012
I can send or receive data to only nokia phones. I can search the other mobile through Bluetooth but when I tried to connect (send or receive) which will ask for a verification code like 6 digit numbers like xxx xxx.
I upgraded the firmware on my N97 to 2.1 the other day and have had no problems since. This evening, after a reboot (no new software installed), it won't allow me to enter my 5 digit lock code. The keys are unresponsive. I've tried removing the battery etc..., but it's still the same. I want to avoid a hard reset if possible, as there is some info that is not backed up.
I'm trying to install "Belle" on my N8 during the installation process I get the message that connection with the phone as been lost! Error code 12052 is displayed My phone is product code 059c5q8 A folder is created with the name of Nokia_Belle?
if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?
Updated my 4s to OS7.01. When prompted, could not log on using my 4-digit code. What's up? How can I get back into my phone? I'm completely "locked out".
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.1, Updated OS to v7.01 Can't sign in!
I have a Samsung Code from MetroPCS. I am running Windows Mobile 6.5. I have searched everywhere and can not find my 16 digit security code. I can tell you it is not the following codes.
Since the update, whenever I try to manually dial a 7-digit phone number, the phone is automatically prefixing a 617 area code to the number its dialing.
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.
Ok I have a 808 bought it as a camera after it updated it, I get this unacceptable repeated popup"Connection Failed Connection Unavailable".Its like every 30 seconds. Its total black background message occupies valuable screen real estate at the top of the screen and repeatedly hinders normal usage of the device, causing especially unpleasant experience when capturing pictures or video. How do nokia users like me go about disabling this message and continue enjoying the experience of the brand we choose to trust?
I've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
My E71 used to work fine in car hands free via bluetooth - now it pairs OK but then gives "unable to create bluetooth connection" message. Another E71 works fine.
I did try (twice) to e-mail Nokia care - each time I filled in all details only to get a Gateway timeout message when I tried to send it - and all details wiped out!
my airtel networks acees point "mobile office " used to work in nokia 701 for a week now its not working it has been 7 days whever i try to connect i just get this message "connection failed, connection unavailable"
I've security code set on my 603, but somehow my 7 year son could get through (and he doesn't know the passcode). I had put it on charging on power plug. He somehow managed to get in. When my wife notice him fiddling up with the phone, it showed up message asking whether to initiate an emergency call. She took it away from my son, only to notice that it was reset to factory settings
Not sure how it would have happened. How in the heavens could he get past security code. I've my corporate email account set and it doesn't allow to turn security code off for that reason.
I could recover from 7 day old backup. Some sms are lost and all app need to be reinstalled now. Many standard app that came in bundled didn't come back after recovering from backup.
Recently I took the nokia N8 phone from my brother. But unfortunately he changed the security code from 12345 and forgot it. Is there anyway I can recover it without approaching a nokia service center.
3 days ago, everything from my internal memory (videos and pictures) disappeared! After 4 hours of work and almost nerve breakdown i managed to save 90% percent of material by manual transfer to PC.nsequences:- 1,5GB of memory not avaible- Phone is not working properly (everything is kinda slow) tried 8 second reset but it didn't solve anything.y next step is to try factory reset but none of usual security codes (12345, 0000 or 00000) doesn't work!Cellular phone is 18 months old and i still have 6 months warranty ( i can prove it because i have a bill for it)
I live in india, my friend gave me nokia 701 but he purchased it from foreign may be quatar or something. It was working fine with 'belle fp1'. One day i updated it to 'belle fp2' over air after that it dont behave properly, i mean it hangs when i view installed apps in phone and camera only opens in portrait mode.so i took my phone to nokia care centre, technicians checked its imei no. in computer and said this mobile is from other country, so they will install its os again with different product code but they will charge for it.I have internet connection at home, how can i download and install suitable product code for my nokia 701.
I have just updated to Belle on my N8. I have a security code set for locking the phone and this is fine. However, when I switch the phone on I am not asked for the code (as I was with Anna). In settings I went to 'Phone and SIM card' and saw a 'PIN code request' item was set to off. I thought this should be 'on' so changed it. No effect, so want to change it back to off. Trouble is when I try to do this it requests a PIN code. I enter my security code and it is flagged as incorrect. Failed twice, and apparently one more incorrect entry locks the phone. Help please! Is the PIN code different to the security code? Is there a default? If I screw this up, is it Nokia issue or one for my Sim provider (Vodafone)?
Since the update, whenever I turn my phone on after either turning it off myself or because the now poor battery has made it turn off, my phone asks for a security code. It didn't do this before, so I don't know what I am supposed to put in. I put in 1234, it tells me it's wrong, I press cancel and hey presto I can use my phone! What's that all about?
I am having problems syncing a Nokia E71 with a PC running Vista. The two sync just fine via USB cable. And I appear to have successfully paired them via Bluetooth. However, when I try to sync over Bluetooth, I get - two requests on the E71 to accept a connection from the PC - both of which I accept - a long wait - around 2-3 minutes - another request on the E71 to accept a connection from the PC, which I also accept - another 1-2 minute wait - a message appearing on the PC saying "The connection between the PC and the phone failed, error code 0x80044403.I can get both the PC and the E71 to transfer files with other devices over Bluetooth. And I can see the E71 as a Bluetooth device from Windows Explorer on the PC. Though when I double-click on it, I can't browse the content. The PC is running Vista Service Pack 1.The Bluetooth hardware is an HP integrated modeul with Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless, manufactured by Broadcom. The Driver date is 19/06/2007 and the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator. The E71 is running the -400 firmware, freshly updated.
I got my N9 yesterday and couldn't quite find info on how to install the Opera web browser, so i decided to enable "developer mode" in settings. That didn't help, so i decided to reboot the phone. When starting it up again, it now asks me for a security code. A code which i don't recall setting, and can't find any info on the internet about.
Note: I have previously set my PIN-code to 0000 and then disabled the pin code check, so it's NOT the pin code that's the problem. Also tried to insert my PUK-code, but that didn't help either.
So I did a hard reset and I knew that I'll lose the Ovi Store. What it's completely new for me is that now each time I'm starting the phone I am requested to input the lock code. I have given 12345 but a message saying "Code fail" is shown and afterwards the phone works normally.1. Does anybody know why12345 is not working anymore?2. Does anybody know how could I remove this request at startup?3. Does anybody know why the phone does react if I am inputting an incorrect code only with a message "Code fail" - I would have expected a lock after multiple inputs but everything is OK.4. Does anybody know how can I change this code? - without flashing it at Nokia Service Center (just too far from me). I'm curious if 10000 tries would bring something alhough I am not interested in such a test
after updated to my nokia n8 anna version to belle i got succesfull. But i try to clear my ram it ask securuty code. I tried with default security code 12345 but no use. I never change my security code also from the date of purchase of my nokia n8.
