Performed software upgrade on 3GS but this crashed it and needed to be restored. Since restoring the phone it will not activate and states that there is no sim card inserted when there clearly is?

This morning my while checking my email on my phone, the screen went black for 5 minutes, and eventually the apple logo appeared and when blank again, i then turned on my phone and it said i had to connect it to iTunes, which i did. When it was recognized on iTunes it said this:Name:iPhoneCapacity: n/aSoftware Version: n/aSerial Number: n/a
and said it had to be restored, which i agreed to and first it recovered, and then it asked if i wanted to restore it as an iPhone found on this computer, (mine) and i said yes. After it recovered i saw that i lost all of my text messages up until April 6th, and i lost well over 200 pictures. Is there anything i can do to restore my messages and photos, or do i take it up with my wireless provider?

I am currently living in the caribbean and using my old unlocked T-mobile Curve 8320 with a local provider SIM card. I am looking to change to a different provider because they offer EDGE (yes, over here we are lucky to even get EDGE networks). I was told by the sales rep that in order for my Blackberry to connect to EDGE network that I must have OS version 4.6. I believe the 8320 cannot go past 4.5 unless I am mistaken. This phone was connected to EDGE when I was in the States with T-mobile. I am not even sure why the OS version would have any effect on it anyhow. Could someone shed some light on this and tell me whether it sounds factual? I recently had a repair done to my iphone. Afterword, I was told that I had to restore the os. I downloaded and installed the latest version (3.1.3) through itunes.
When it attempted to activate the phone I got an error message saying the phone either had no sim or the sim was locked and instructing me to disconnect the phone and unlock the sim.
My sim does have a pin, but the phone itself won't allow me to unlock it. It says 'restore needed' and directs me to itunes.
It seems like a catch 22 - can't activate without unlocking the pin, can't unlock the pin without activating. As it is, I can't use the phone at all.
I have pictures on my iPhone I'd like to print.I went to Walmart and was told I need an app to do it, anyone know what app? Or was the guy wrong?

My iPhone stopped charging right after it said I needed to update to the 5.1.1 software. Anyone else having these problems. I had my phone plugged into the charger it was on like 20 % it charged up untill it said I needed to update my software to 5.1.1 and never charged from then on. My iPhone 4s has been non-functional for 5 hours now... It is stalled during the new software update at about 20% complete . I cannot do the typical hard reboot due to a broken lock button. View 1 Replies View RelatedI hit the "Reset All Settings" button on my Jailbroken 3.0 3GS and basically it would never reboot again (the Apple sign would repeatedly keep coming on but never actually reboot). So I put it into DFU mode and had to update it to 3.1.3. Good thing my last sync was September 8th, I'm definitely doing more syncs from now on. Anyways, will I be able to jailbreak again with 3.1.3 on a 3GS? I know the dev team is always coming out with new ones but I just wanted to make sure that this doesn't mean I'll ever be able to jailbreak again (basically I'm stuck without a jailbreak and really want one back, so I'm asking when's possibly the soonest it'll come out)?

When it came back on again I saw an Apple logo with a progress bar. I thought... okay, my iPhone crashed and now it's starting back up.
However, when it finished starting back up, I have the connect to iTunes and Emergency Call screen!

i was unable to send/receive texts for a little, and my phone said I had almost full 3G. so I restarted my phone and that "sad iPhone" wallpaper came up along with a notification saying how I was in safe mode, etc. so I restarted a few more times and now it's back to normal. should I restore or does this just happen sometimes?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI started out with a search, but wasn't able to find any oters with my issue, so here goes.Since two days ago I left my iphone 4 on the edge of my bed with the charger connected. At that time it was running iOS 5.0. In the morning my phone had shut down and I was unable to boot it up again. I tried holding the "Power" and the "Home" buttons simultaneously to try and reset, but to no avail.I also tried to reconnect it to the charger and let it sit there for a couple of hours. I tried 3 different chargers,still nothing.
After about 5 hours I tried the reset combination again and the phone activated (with a 100% battery status) and I was able to use it normally again, yet after 1 hour it crashed again and wouldn't activate for another couple of hours.I was able to turn it on a third time and quickly connected it to iTunes, which updated it to iOS 5.1. Sadly, it died again after an hour and now I'm unable to boot it anymore, no matter how long I wait.I know it isn't the battery seeing before the issue started it would easily go for 2-3 days. The Iphone is 14 months old and has never been dropped.
