Galaxy S6 :: Why Does It Randomly Lose All Power

Aug 31, 2014The power button on my Iphone 4 is broken, so don't tell me to do the sleep+home reset. I obviously can't. It randomly turned off at 80% battery. I flicked the ringer to see if the screen was black (It's happened before) and it didn't vibrate like it should have. I plugged it in and nothing happened.

Jul 24, 2012I have the Blackberry Torch 9800 and for the last while my battery will constantly randomly drop to almost dead. If I remove the battery it usually goes back up and sometimes it's okay for the rest of the day or for a few days, while some days it does it 2-3 times every hour to the point it basically needs to be left plugged in.

Apr 5, 2012My iphone 4 is fairly new, I have been using it for about 2 months. It has been perfectly fine besides a bit kinks here and there, the usual things. But today my lock/power button randomly stopped working for me. My fone wont lock at all. I did shut it off by holding the home button and the lock button, but then I couldn't turn it back on, with the reason being my lock/power button will not work. It is not jammed nor loose.

Jul 28, 2011Hold your GS2 in your hand as you would normally and could you tap it with your finger on the top, near the 3.5mm jack slot. When you tap it does it sound like there is something loose to you?I had my replacement phone today and it seems like there is something lose, even when I tap the top half of the screen it feels like their is something loose or rattling around inside the phone.

Sep 11, 2015I'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.
When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?

Nov 18, 2015I am on my 3rd replacement phone now because of this issue and just figured out why it is happening. everytime i get a replacement and update it from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 is starts missing key strokes.. My current replacement i purposely didnt update and it works absolutely perfectly. I have tested 4 phones now and all of them have the same exact issue. I believe the reason most people dont realize it is because of word prediction. most of the time Word Prediction will put the correct word in even tho it misses keystroke. My brother has an s6 and he didnt even realize it till i had him test it like i tested mine. I did notice it tho and got really annoyed by it and started returning phones until i realized that they all had the same issue.. Worked perfectly on 5.0.2, but as soon as i updated to 5.1.1 they started missing keystrokes.
This is how i tested and proofed to Verizon that my phone was not working right:
disable "word prediction" in the samsung keyboard settings.
in the texting app type the first row of keys and press enter repeatedly so it looks like this:
qwertyuiop
qwertyuiop
qwertyuiop
qwertyuiop
repeat about 10 to 20 times. If your phone has the same issues as all my replacements you should see missed keys 2 to 5 times in your repeated words

wertyuip (missed the q and o)

Galaxy S6 :: Keyboard Freezing Randomly
Dec 23, 2015Both on my s6 and my dad's s6 our keyboards are freezing randomly. It will not type and will stay on the screen (even on home screen etc) until the device is locked and unlocked and sometimes it has to be restarted. I am using Google keyboard and dad is Swiftkey so its unlikely to be the actual keyboard app.

Oct 27, 2015So bluetooth has been turning it's self off randomly. When I try to connect my ps4 controller via bluetooth I connect and move around for 5 seconds then bluetooth turns off. It's not the controller because I can turn it on and sit at the bluetooth screen and wait abit, then it turns off for 1/2 seconds, says "turning on bluetooth" then repeats the cycle. I just updated to lollipop hoping it would fix it but no luck. I even did a factory reset. The BLE app didn't fix it either.

Things I have done > Factory Reset: I did a factory reset and while I was uploading contacts through kies it restarted.I have used another launcher: it still restarted while I was web browsing. ( did not download any apps for a couple days and problem still persisted randomly due to web browsing) Turned off Google Sync: It seemed to have solved the problem because it did not restart for like 2 days, but while using Pandora it lagged the music and it ended up restarting again.Cleared the cache/cookies: did nothing and still randomly restarted. Removed all facebook applications: problem still persist after a while of use.

May 12, 2015I have an issue with my S5. I updated from KitKat to Lollipop 5 days ago. After reading some of the horror stories associated with Lollipop and battery life, lag, phone performance, etc., I didn't waste any time before doing a full factory data reset. I am pretty sure the FDR worked, since I have had absolutely no problems with battery life, lag, or my phone running hot.
However, I have this weird issue where apps will randomly start on their own. Two examples, the first is that I opened my recent apps and noticed a whole bunch of apps in there that I had 100% most certainly not opened at any time since clearing my recent apps. The second example occurred this morning. I did a 10 minute walk to work and when I got to my office, I noticed that Rocket Music Player had opened and was playing my music. I highly doubt this happened due to any physical touch because not only would the power or home button have had to be pushed, but then the screen would have had to be swiped, the Rocket Player opened, and a song clicked on to start playing. I highly doubt this all occurred in my pocket.

It shuts off in random intervals, sometimes a couple of hours and sometimes 30 minutes or less. Dec 3, 2011This may be a coincidence but ever since I updated to Android 2.3.5 my phone will randomly re-start itself. It definitely didn't happen before. So for example the screen will be locked, nothing happening with the phone, good battery life, (e.g. overnight) and it will suddenly re-boot. It's doubly annoying because I have a PIN SIM so it's stuck at the PIN screen, without network coverage, until I discover it and log back in. My carrier is O2 (UK) but I don't think they're at fault, it's a 2 year old SIM without any previous problems.
