View 1 Replies View RelatedMy galaxy s6 was working fine until a few days ago. I charge it to 100% but it will randomly die and lose all power.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAt first I though this was because I froze too much with TB but now when I've unfrozen everything it still doesn't work.
So far I've found "EmergencyManagerService" is related. I started trying one by one and found this one but then unfroze all.
I get a pop-up saying to wait while it configures (0/100)... But it doesn't ever turn on.
W8. Stock rom. Rooted.
My phone was working perfectly fine this morning when I got up. I went to make a call, it wouldn't connect so I went to Restart it, it froze on the "Starting Apps" screen. I did the whole "Holding the volume & Power" It powers up like it should, but doesn't move past the Samsung S6 Edge Screen. The blue light is flickering on it also. I don't know what to do!!!

I used to be able to get 12 days out of my phone on UPS on s5 but the s6 only goes for 3.5 days?
I know it's early in the game but how this new update is handling power consumption?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI had no open apps or anything. It just seemed to freeze at 17:43. Can't power off, can't get to any other screens...it's frozen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have it on 95% of the time. Set it to "immediately".
Only way I have found to make it last through the day at work.
Having a strange issue where the phone won't power off using the physical power button, the camera keeps coming up, and the phone gets really hot.
Did the soft reset by holding power + volume down for 7 seconds and had it restart, power off, and safe restart, all of which I was able to do successfully, but each time the phone has the same issue when it boots back up.
I don't want to hard reset and lose my layout.
Just made the jump from my trusty S3 to an S6! I usually try to conserve the battery life of my devices, so I'm used to keeping power saving mode on pretty much always. Since I know it's always enabled, I want to get rid of the notification in the drop down menu that's just stating the obvious: "Power saving mode enabled."
I've tried long pressing on the notification (leads to a system app called "Settings Reveiver") and looking for the Power Saving system app settings manually (only found one called "Power Sharing"), but every viable option seems to have the "Show Notifications" option enabled and grayed out so I can't change it. Is there any way to get rid of the annoying notification?
Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night, I went to bed with 30% battery. Because I tend to lose 15-20% overnight (approx. 8 hours), I turned on UPSM. I woke up before my alarm this morning and checked my phone for the time, only to see I had 1% battery. I had a backup alarm, because the phone was dead 30 minutes later when the alarm should have went off. I went from 3.7 days approx. battery life on UPSM to dead.
From my understanding, UPSM is supposed to turn data off if the screen is off, correct? If it doesn't, I found my culprit as my apartment gets horrible data connection for being in a city, so it would be continuously searching for that connection. If it should turn it off, why did UPSM not work? Nothing came through during the night (calls, sms, etc.).
I want to be able to disable power saving when the battery gets low and can't seem to.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).
Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.
I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.
So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.
I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."
The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So, how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?
How to swap my power/lock button and my back key?? My power button stopped working kinda worryed my phones going to die and I won't be able to reboot it. I am using softness on my s5 so sacrificing my unused key isn't a problem...
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you use the setting to have the power button end a phone call, how do you turn the screen back on if it goes black during a phone conversation without ending the call?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using Galaxy S6 and have questions regarding the Power Saver. I attached my Ppwer Saver Estimation and saw that even when in Ultra Power Saving Mode my phone will only last for 11 hours in 50% battery?? That is very far from what I am expecting, because lots of info usually with Ultra power saving with 10% battery will last for 24 hour.
Is it normal, or there are something i must do to prolonge my battery life?
It appears that the power button on my Galaxy S6 isn't working anymore. I have faulted this with samsung and they have asked me to send it to them for repair. Today, I was going to back up my phone but my battery went flat before I could do this and now I cant get the phone back on!! Some have suggested holding down the volume up button then plugging in the usb lead while connected to a computer, it didn't work. I have also tried the volume down button and the home button at the same time while plugged in via usb, this didn't work either. how I can get into recovery mode without using the power button, I really need to get the phone back on, the battery is sealed in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the new update 5.1.1 and after that. They both have stopped working. I have to wait for my phone to shut off and to exit apps, I have to use the app button which I don't like that much.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy battery was on 5% so I turned on ultra power saving mode. my battery eventually died, then when I plugged my phone back into the charger it wont let me turn power saving off. my drop down list isn't available and a lot of my setting are missing. ive tried restarting the phone and fully rebooting but nothing works and I cant turn the bloody thing off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot get my phone out of power mode. It is turned off, but auto brightness goes lowest possible still. No lights on buttons, no haptic feedback, no sounds (hate them, but turn on to see).
It's not hardware as the haptic buttons light and vibrate on boot... Just nothing after boot up. Haven't done anything but let my phone hit 10% battery before charging.
My wife recently washed her phone and by accident got some water inside (water indicator in the back is red). Since then the phone didn't want to charge! It starts charges for a second then stops.
We have been swapping batteries since I also have a GS5 but it's been really annoying.
I thought the charging module had been damaged but just yesterday by accident she found out she could charge it if the phone is in "Ultra Power Savings Mode".
