I noticed that sometimes while in pocket, the camera app just randomly opens even though I felt that I didn't really press the home button twice to open it and sometimes the lock screen unlocks while in pocket...really weird...

Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.

View 8 Replies View RelatedLast nght before I went to sleep I was browsing on facebook and safari. When I was finished I closed out all of the safari windows and cleared my history and cookies. When I woke up this morning I found that my passlock had been removed and safari had opened numerous pages of websites of which I do not go to. This has happend once before, but I did a factory restore and all seemed to help. My phone is not jailbroken and I don't understand why this is happening.

I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open my camera app, sometimes the camera takes 1-2 seconds to initially focus and during that time it makes a loud buzzing sound. It sounds like a focus motor or something in the camera and the camera output on screen flutters while it focuses. Once it focuses, everything is normal and it doesn't make any more noise to refocus. This also doesn't happen every time I open the camera app, seems mostly random. I am already on my 2nd S6 since the first was defective for different reasons and I'm starting to get very disappointed with Samsung quality control.

here are the symptoms i encounter:
1. video randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, the back light turns off and immediately goes back on and resumes playback. this is regardless where the video is stored.
2. online videos (e.g. from Internet) randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, video is paused and streaming is also restarted.
3. camera momentarily freezes - video display turns off and immediately goes back on as if it has recovered from an error. same is encountered when using the front camera.
also, if you know the web browser 'dolphin', it has a feature of 'keep screen on' that will keep the back light on even if there is no activity on the phone. however, since my phone is acting weird lately, the backlight of my phone turns off after some time even if the 'keep screen on' feature is enabled.
this gave me an impression that the problem must be somewhat related to the backlight or memory. but i am not really sure. i tried to power off the phone, removed the battery, removed the sim, removed the sd, but the problem still persists.
this is annoying as hell because i cannot watch videos smoothly anymore and my video calls randomly stops.

- system storage 894mb free out of 1.97gb
- usb storage 5.66gb/ 11.5gb
- sd card 192mb / 1.9 gb

This just started happening today. I have had my phone (Lumia 1020) for less that a year. At the beginning of the week I had the blue screen of death (boot configuration error) - and had to re-install the software- which I did successfully a few days ago. All was good... The camera worked for a few days and then boom- as of today it just boots me back to the start screen when I go to take a pic.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 5S camera opens and closes immediately. My flashlight is no longer on my phone at all as a standard option (it's gone). I am only able to take forward-facing pictures through Instagram and Snapchat.
What I've tried so far -
1.)Regular Reset (erasing nothing),
2.) Restore (took everything off of my phone and then reloaded it by backup from iCloud). Â
I turn the phone on after both and my camera still opens and closes within 2 seconds.

Today my back facing camera stopped working. When I open the app the screen stays black and the shutter doesn't open. The front facing camera is working though. I've tried resetting the phone to factory settings. What else can I do?

Have the Turbo and can't figure out how to stop the camera app from opening from the lock screen. I tried both enabling the camera to open with twisting the phone and disabling. I am running the latest update 21.44.12. I am using Nova Launcher which is updated to the latest version. I don't use the camera much and find it quite annoying that when unlocking the phone the camera opens. Any setting that I can disable so that camera will not open??

I cant think of anything that would have caused this to do this and it was working fine last night before going to bed. Any ideas? But I have noticed that since then 3 out of 5 times I unlock my phone it unlocks to the NBA game time app page in the play store. I now don't remember which app suggested this download. So I assume it was the sports center app but can't find anything that would keep triggering this issue. I even download the app and deleted to see if it would stop but to no success...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI install an app on the playstore for remote control of kodi on my htpc computer , after uninstalling it , noticed when I long press and hold my home button It no longer opens up voice search, it opens google now cards page I then have to click on the mic button at the top to perform a voice search.
Is there a way to reset this ? , I uninstalled updates on google app cleared data ect , now when I press and hold my home button I only get these 2 options.
If I select "google" it opens google now page (same way as above)
Looking for a way tog et pack the long press home button and you can instantly start talking to the google voice .

Two nights ago my camera started to come on randomly. I tried a battery pull but no change. I did not really mind until I found out the hard way this morning that when the camera is on the alarm will not sound.

I've tried taking the battery and sim card out, I've tried updating my phone (the guy at my location bell store told me to do, he's seen this a lot) but nothing is working. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy camera randomly lost the option to take videos recently (when I press the 4 circles in the corner of the camera screen, I only get the Camera or Selfie option, and the gallery preview square beside the shutter button has gone too). Also, after each photo, I get a tick or an arrow at the bottom, the arrow deletes the picture and lets you take another, the tick saves the picture and exits the app. Every time. This is no good if I am taking more than one picture.
I have just today upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop, and factory reset the phone, no joy in either case, but upon entering the app just once I got some funky photo booth option and another one too. Have booted it up in safe mode and the video options return, but after deleting any and all recently downloaded (since January) apps, nothing is bringing back the functionality.
After the 8.1 Cyan update, the camera randomly starting up while you're using the phone? I'm positive I didn't push the camera button. I'm seeing this behavior on my unlocked Lumia 1520.

I had my phone unlocked and it was sleeping and then when I came to turn it on nothing would happen. It wouldn't even come on when I plug the charger in. I got it to restart by pressing the bottom volume and power button at the same time.
