Woke up this morning to find that my phone wont open the menu and that the keypad is stuff. Ive tryed hard resetting it but did nothing. I cant think of anything that would have caused this to do this and it was working fine last night before going to bed. Any ideas? I really dont wanna have to send it backunless i have to as this is my second one and i dont have a spare phone.
View 5 RepliesToday my back facing camera stopped working. When I open the app the screen stays black and the shutter doesn't open. The front facing camera is working though. I've tried resetting the phone to factory settings. What else can I do?

My camera has stopped working on my nokia 5800 press camera button and it just goes back to menu screen. Tried camera through apps does same thing and it does not show it open also. It will not play any videos just sound. I watch bbciplayer a lot on my phone and all I get is sound it just comes up and says unable to play video or sound but I can hear the sound. Just not see the video and also vidoes what I have took on my phone done soft and hard reset firmware update.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have updated my Xperia Pro phone to ICS. After this update both phone dialer and contacts menu opens very slow. It takes 4 to 8 seconds depending on phone congestion to open it i.e. when you hit the phone icon on menu first appers a black screen and than only few minutes after you can call someone. It is a bit uncomfortable when you try call someone, especially if it is urgent, your phone's primary function doesn't work fast. And phone's physical qwerty keyboard changed to azerty.

I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)

When I pull the battery out, and leave it out for whatever length of time (I tried 10-20 min), as soon as the battery is back in, it turns itself on.As of the last few days, it has decided than when I place it on a table, or sometimes just getting moved around in my pocket, it wants to restart...
I do NOT want to send it back to manufacturer, as they will give me a $4 phone to use, and still charge me data rates and all that for 8 weeks.... But is there a fix for this, like a program or something that alters what the power button does? Can I disable the power button at all? Other than this issue, my phone is awesome! And if there IS a way of disabling, is there a way I can shut down not using this button, like if my phone freezes or something, besides pulling the battery?

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.

At the beginning of the week I had the blue screen of death (boot configuration error) - and had to re-install the software- which I did successfully a few days ago. All was good... The camera worked for a few days and then boom- as of today it just boots me back to the start screen when I go to take a pic.

I tried both enabling the camera to open with twisting the phone and disabling. I am running the latest update 21.44.12. I am using Nova Launcher which is updated to the latest version. I don't use the camera much and find it quite annoying that when unlocking the phone the camera opens. Any setting that I can disable so that camera will not open??

It had happened once before but it appeared to fix itself after not being used for a few hours. I have read something about moisture on other forums and I feel this may be the answer but it only affects the letter A.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThe letter key "L" will not work when pressed, and seems like there is some sort of delay with that letter. Sometimes when it is pressed, it does compute the letter but multiple time and with about a 5 second delay. Most of the time it won't work at all.Now, the trackpad also does not work right. It will scroll up ,down,left, and right at home screen, but will not do any of that in the BB menu or apps like Facebook. I can use it properly in the viewing of scent calls and viewing of recent texts. But once I open a text I cannot scroll again.There is a way around all that, if I hold down the alt key I can scroll again, but of course my letter al is not working.

Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

When I push it the menu doesn't open but if I use the navigation keys to open, for example the Camera, when I push the menu button, the menu button works to take the picture.I didn't made any moditications into hardware e/or firmware on the phone.I don't want to take it to Nokia Care now.
