I have managed to hit something when i was typing a message in my phone and now my letter o key won't work. It has happened before and I managed to get it back to normal but i'm not sure how. Does any one know what i have done and how i can get it to work again?
View 5 RepliesToday the letter A on my blackberry 8520 stopped working completely. when pressing either the letter Q or S it will come up as Qa or Sa . . It had happened once before but it appeared to fix itself after not being used for a few hours. I have read something about moisture on other forums and I feel this may be the answer but it only affects the letter A.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe letter key "L" will not work when pressed, and seems like there is some sort of delay with that letter. Sometimes when it is pressed, it does compute the letter but multiple time and with about a 5 second delay. Most of the time it won't work at all.Now, the trackpad also does not work right. It will scroll up ,down,left, and right at home screen, but will not do any of that in the BB menu or apps like Facebook. I can use it properly in the viewing of scent calls and viewing of recent texts. But once I open a text I cannot scroll again.There is a way around all that, if I hold down the alt key I can scroll again, but of course my letter al is not working.

Woke up this morning to find that my phone wont open the menu and that the keypad is stuff. Ive tryed hard resetting it but did nothing. I cant think of anything that would have caused this to do this and it was working fine last night before going to bed. Any ideas? I really dont wanna have to send it backunless i have to as this is my second one and i dont have a spare phone.

I love my Blackberry and was surprised when I pulled it out of the holster to check messages and realized the d/5 key was missing. It seems strange since it is in the middle of the keyboard. I can still use it with a pen to type, but that isn't really practical. Is this repairable?

I thought at first, that my joystick doesn't work, but it's this thing. I took the blackberry apart and even then it's doing it. Also the joystick is playing up. Now it's not doing anything.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I pulled my 9900 out of my pocket, I saw that the letter P had fallen off of my keyboard and into my pocket. No idea how that happened, especially since my phone is in top shape. I called T-Mobile to see if my phone was under warranty (I bought it the first day it was available in California, which was on August 31st, 2011) and if there was anything that could be done. They directed me to call RIM about the issue. I called RIM this morning and was told by the representative that the warranty is at T-Mobile's discretion and that I'd basically have to hash this issue out with them. So I just got off of the phone with T-Mobile, again, and was told that the button falling off wasn't a "known issue with this device," therefore the warranty was void and my only option was to buy a new phone. This is terrible, a $600 phone and within less than a year my button falls off. The sad thing about it is, I also own the 9700 Curve and I had this same issue happen, except it took more than a year before the letter P fell off of that one.

Due to this the Navigon Fresh SW don't detect the mobile as Navigon device as it did before. It is now mandatory to switch off the Phone, open it, and put the SD card into a card reader. When I'm writing a text to someone, I want my N8 (running Belle) to automatically capitalize the word "I" instead of leaving it a lowercase "i" after I press space - is there any way to do this? The capitalization (and lack of access to the custom dictionary) is really annoying.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen I go to type certain letters on Swype (as in not actually "swiping," but just pressing single keys to enter an individual letter), the phone does not enter the letter, and it backs out of the keyboard app. Opening the keyboard back up to type then results in words failing to enter either through individual key presses, or through swiping. The word will show up on the word prediction bar, but will not enter, and the vibrate-on-keypress also fails. I then have to back out of the program that I was trying to type in, but every time I open it back up and try to key in a single letter, the same problem occurs.This problem comes about randomly, I have no idea what spurs the issue. Also, it seems to happen when I am trying to punch in a few specific keys ("K" especially, and also "D." May have noted the problem with 1 or 2 other keys, not sure).

It doesn't happen consistently enough for me to get into the habit of always looking at the icon and it's really annoying. What's more, if I *did* want a capital letter, and have held the shift key down, I get a lower case letter!
