Samsung Galaxy S II :: Phone Does Not Enter Letter

when I go to type certain letters on Swype (as in not actually "swiping," but just pressing single keys to enter an individual letter), the phone does not enter the letter, and it backs out of the keyboard app. Opening the keyboard back up to type then results in words failing to enter either through individual key presses, or through swiping. The word will show up on the word prediction bar, but will not enter, and the vibrate-on-keypress also fails. I then have to back out of the program that I was trying to type in, but every time I open it back up and try to key in a single letter, the same problem occurs.This problem comes about randomly, I have no idea what spurs the issue. Also, it seems to happen when I am trying to punch in a few specific keys ("K" especially, and also "D." May have noted the problem with 1 or 2 other keys, not sure).

Sim yet to be activated but started setup. Had registered my google account and was interupted. When I returned it was asking me to enter a PIN code. and said that emergency calls were available. I hadnt entered a PIN by this stage.

i have recently changed from O2 to three and taken my number with me. I have requested, and received an unlock code for my S2, which I plan to sell, however, the instructions say: "Insert another network active sim in the handset. This should ask for a code. Input 8 digit unlock code when requested." But when I try another active sim, (I have tried both Three and Orange), it does not ask for a code

I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

it's a really small minor but it bugs the he'll outta me that I have to press the shift button before I type a text in order to have a capital letter. it is pretty retarded that the message doesn't do it automatically like the iPhone.

We enabled the power-on PIN option on the T401G, and created the PIN using the slide-out keyboard. We used letters and numbers in the PIN. But now when we power on the phone, and we're asked to enter the PIN...the slide-out keyboard is not activated. So we cannot enter the PIN, because we have no way to enter letters. The phone is basically unusable now. Things we're tried:
- remove battery & SIM, install battery, power on/off, install SIM.
- enter the wrong PIN (which is all we can do) many times (> 10)
- NET10's "solution" via e-mail is to hold down the */lock key, which does nothing.

Is there a way to page up / page down when viewing text messages or emails? I'm tired of hitting the arrow key many times.Is there an enter key? When composing an email via gmail's mobile interface, hitting the down arrow tabs me to the send button, not to the next line in the body of the email.Is there a way to move from viewing one text message to the next text message without exiting the current text message?Is there a way to enter keyguard mode during a call so I can put the phone in my pocket while talking on bluetooth?

When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.

I know this has probably been asked and answered a thousand times but...I recently took over ownership of a Galaxy 2 from someone else in the family and only use internet through wifi as I dont have data included in my tariff.However, I just saw on latest bill, I have a load of charges for data usage!I have done various searches and there seems to be lots of solutions but no DEFINITIVE one that i have read?The most obvious one I have read is to switch the data mode off from the power button. Another is to deactivate packet data in the network menu (I would have thought the first action would do the same?). I have done both but the charges still continue. I assume then that some apps are running in the background and accessing at random times?
So is what I am describing a normal 'feature' of the phone? Why is the phone allowing apps to override a very high level user setting???If this is the case, my searching has now left me baffled. I have read about downloading apps to switch the 3G connection off? Also I read I could set the phone to run on 2G?Does setting the phone on 2G affect any other functionality? I would like to use the phone for everything else eg wifi gps etc. I just dont want any non wifi internet data usage at all permanently!Lastly, I believe with the network internet connection, I cannot send or receive mms at all? I guess I will have to accept that.

I went to settings and then About Phone. Subsequently, I checked for updates and after that I tried updating my phone. The file size was around 12 MB after which it proceeded with rebooting the phone. Unfortunately my phone is not getting rebooted after the software update. It is stuck with the screen showing "Samsun Galaxy S2 GT-19100G". The welcome note with the music screen is also not appearing.

1/Why sync' a phone and is it necessary?Can someone explain sync' in simple terms,as I see it all you are doing is uploading from your pc.
2/My sons Iphone is sync'd on our pc will that interefere with my Galaxy when/if I sync' it?
We looked into sync' 2 Iphones but they kept robbing eachothers info.Apparently a pc log on is required for each Iphone,logging in to I tunes does not differentiate between users? Whilst that's ok for apps it's not so good for contacts,etc.Looking at Kies I can opt to sync' a lot better than the Itunes system,so I doubt if I'd have to sync' anything apart from updates to the firmware/software if I chose.

When I am texting using messaging it takes a Long time to load previous messages a long time to type or press the send button. It only freeze when I'm using messaging any other app is fine to use it have rebooted the phone turned it on and off and cleared cache anything else I can do before I send the phone back
