I left my phone on my desk for 5 minutes and when i got my it wouldnt turn on, theres no light or anything, ive tried the factory reset with no response and ive tried plugging it in and still no response. is there anything i can do to fix it?

My damaged Galaxy S2 was replaced by my insurance company with a brand new phone this morning. On setting up the phone I discovered that the "home" button does not work. There is no positive click and no response from the phone.

Then I tried screen mirroring to my cousins phone and couldn't get that to work either, he has an s5 as well. What am I doing wrong?! If I want to look for a phone number, it means that I have got to click on each contact name to bring up the next screen with the phone number etc on it and then click back to the contacts screen and keep doing it all through the list of contacts.
With my old HTC Desire it used to show both right at the start.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA new problem has developed with my phone. It's hard to describe but it looks as if there is fluid under the screen (I don't have a screen protector btw). You can push the bubble of fluid (if that's what it is) around with your finger and see it move under the screen. Most unsettling. I'm at a complete loss to know what to do. MY PHONE AT NO TIME HAS GOT WET OR EVEN SPLASHED - I'VE KEPT IT COMPLETELY DRY. I HAVEN'T EVEN HANDLED IT WITH WET HANDS.
The problem is only visible on the home screen and it's not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way. However, it's a bad problem because now I've lost all security on my phone - it doesn't ask for a fingerprint swipe any more so anyone can immediately gain access to my phone merely by touching the bubble.
Interestingly, the problem disappears completely if I run the Samsung Galaxy S6 4G in Safe Mode.
My new galaxy s5 has the Lollipop update....my notifications don't show up on locked screen....In my settings I have it set to show up....I have did a hard reset and factory reset and it still doesn't work....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 (sm-g900f). Sometimes the screen just freeze, and grey lines appears (as in this picture goo.gl/qIdGg7 ).
The main button and the power still working, as I can see the white light turning on and off as usual after pressing them.
And after click the power button once (which turn off the display), the screen remains black.
The phone is actually still working, as I can ear it ringing or receiving messages and email.
But I cant do anything, just take off the battery and restart it. I already reset it and the problem keeps happen again.
Does anyone know of how I would possibly be able to retrieve photos from my Samsung Galaxy S2 that has a non-fuctioning screen? The rest of the phone works - it charges, turns on (the 4 buttons light up as well as the light on the top) and the speakers for the ringtones and alerts works as well. I am desperate to get the pictures and am seeking all advice possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Corpy Pro, and I am trying to access my home wireless network. I have enabled WIFI and used to be able to connect sometimes (it was flacky). Now all I get is "No Response from AP".
I believe my settings on my router are correct because my friends can connect to my network (on their iPhones) without issue. As well I can connect with 2 other wireless comps in my home, as well as my PS3.
I have read that people have solved this performing a hard reset of their phones: I am not sure how to do this.
Has anyone else successfully connected to their WIFI home networks, and more importantly, after they have encountered and solved this issue?
Although my comps can connect to the network, I get a message that they were not able to get a digi signature from the host, but connect anyways. When I try to connect using my phone I see my router trying to set it up as it asigns an IP address, butt he phone never responds (or vice versa) and the connection drops or I get "no response from AP".
I found out that, it is slow response now. I check all the application what is running on the phone, but nothing special. Is there any firmware that I need to do? I heard that, from Korea Galaxy S has been firmware upgraded and working better. And also motion sensor? that response is slow too. When I'm on the phone and I take the phone away from my ear than it should light up the screen but, now response is very slow.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI received my Vibrant on last week. I've installed less than 10 apps.Which is not heavy,(emails, weather, three games.) After this, all of the reponse has been slow.Especially, when the phone is screen locked, and I try to use the phone I press unlock button on the side. Screen come up slower than the first time. And also, when I talking on the phone through the ear, and I try to hang up(the phone is getting away from the ear, it supposed to show the menus, like add call, dial pad, end call.)This screen comes up little slow now.I went on to check the apps running and nother were really heavy software running. Should I try to reset the factory reset? Any recommendation? I know, this is not a major problem.(maybe I should not say these are the problem) but it was fast response but, why it does response little slow?

So as things are perfect and smiley in the world, the way to make your day complete is to drop your brand new samsung galaxy s2 from a pathetically small height and watch as the whole screen shatters to bits. Enough to put anyone in a great mood.Fixing the screen isn't the problem though. 02 have agreed to fix it for me, for a small fee, but they have confirmed that the whole phone will be flashed before hand. This is not good. I have a lot of memories on the phone that i would like back.I have connected the phone to samsung keis, however, since the screen locked, the dam thing won't let me in to my own data. Understandably this is to ensure absolutle security to your sh** but I can't help wondering why samsung didn't install an option that allows you to unlock the phone from your computer. really need some help figuring out how I can get my sh** back. If anyone knows how to bypass the screen lock or just refresh it. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. I'm not in a great rush since my mum refuses to pay for the fix. and it'll take me a few weeks to save up.i can't unlock the phone because i can't see the screen and i think the touch pad is bust as well.
