I have requested, and received an unlock code for my S2, which I plan to sell, however, the instructions say: "Insert another network active sim in the handset. This should ask for a code. Input 8 digit unlock code when requested." But when I try another active sim, (I have tried both Three and Orange), it does not ask for a code

It does go lower than the 9th attempt. I already tried rebooting it and factory resetting it and the phone it goes back to the 10th attempts and again it doesn't go any lower the the 9th attempt.

Since yesterday, it didn't work , I get my IMEI to a site, and it gives me a ten digit code that calls master code, and said if I enter this code instead of my forgotten code ( I didn't forget it,it didn't work) it will accept by phone. But when I enter the master code it says "code error" too. I tried to hardware reset , but when i hold 3,* & green buttons and turn it on, phone asks me "continue using the phone in offline mode? " (it asks since when i tried to enter deference codes for several times), and i should to answer this and press other keys instead of these 3 buttons, so it didn't work too, I opened it key pad and clean again,but it couldn't help.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I go to type certain letters on Swype (as in not actually "swiping," but just pressing single keys to enter an individual letter), the phone does not enter the letter, and it backs out of the keyboard app. Opening the keyboard back up to type then results in words failing to enter either through individual key presses, or through swiping. The word will show up on the word prediction bar, but will not enter, and the vibrate-on-keypress also fails. I then have to back out of the program that I was trying to type in, but every time I open it back up and try to key in a single letter, the same problem occurs.This problem comes about randomly, I have no idea what spurs the issue. Also, it seems to happen when I am trying to punch in a few specific keys ("K" especially, and also "D." May have noted the problem with 1 or 2 other keys, not sure).

I have tried going thru google and once again it never worked. The pin number screen will allow me to go on indefinitely until the pin is entered correctly. View 1 Replies View RelatedI turned on Auto Lock for the 5530. It prompted me for my lock code so i used the default factory lock code 12345. That worked, but then it told me that "Lock Code Expired". Then a New Lock Code screen comes up. I entered a new code, lets say 123456. Confirmed the code. Then I get an error message saying "Must contain both letters and numbers". But the 5530 only allows me to enter numbers and symbol characters. There are no letters to enter. So I am totally locked out of my phone.
I tried a hard reset RED + GREEN + Photo buttons but that did not work.

I upgraded the firmware on my N97 to 2.1 the other day and have had no problems since. This evening, after a reboot (no new software installed), it won't allow me to enter my 5 digit lock code. The keys are unresponsive. I've tried removing the battery etc..., but it's still the same. I want to avoid a hard reset if possible, as there is some info that is not backed up.
