Got the unlock code from Verizon. Got a new Blau SIM card (Germany), the dealer (E-Plus+) activated the new SIM card. I put in the new SIM card, turned on the phone and was asked for a pin. Entered the pin that came with the Blau SIM but no service. When/how do I enter the SIM unlock code from VZ?

It does go lower than the 9th attempt. I already tried rebooting it and factory resetting it and the phone it goes back to the 10th attempts and again it doesn't go any lower the the 9th attempt.

Since yesterday, it didn't work , I get my IMEI to a site, and it gives me a ten digit code that calls master code, and said if I enter this code instead of my forgotten code ( I didn't forget it,it didn't work) it will accept by phone. But when I enter the master code it says "code error" too. I tried to hardware reset , but when i hold 3,* & green buttons and turn it on, phone asks me "continue using the phone in offline mode? " (it asks since when i tried to enter deference codes for several times), and i should to answer this and press other keys instead of these 3 buttons, so it didn't work too, I opened it key pad and clean again,but it couldn't help.

My Sim card from Consumer Cellular worked with the phone but no other carrier Sim card will since it is locked. AT&T does not have the code to unlock this phone since I did not activate it with them. Motorola still has the code and they will not give it to me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThere appear to be two ways to get to voicemail on the Bionic (regular voicemail, not visual voicemail which I don't use). The first way is to pull down the notification bar when the voicemail icon shows up there, then press it to check the voicemail. The second is the voicemail app which is on the phone. Pressing that app icon brings up another screen that says call voicemail and also tries to sell you the Verizon visual voicemail service.
After getting the phone, I went to Settings, Call Settings, Voicemail Settings and inserted some pauses and my password so that when I dial voicemail I don't have to do anything but listed to the first message. After doing this I sent myself a test voicemail to verify that it was working properly. When I use the first way described above, it works fine - just like it used to work on the OG Droid. I press the notification button and the phone automatically dials voicemail, puts in my information, and I hear the voicemail without having to interact with the phone.
When I use the voicemail app, it does not appear to pick up the settings I inserted, all it does is dial *86. As a result, it wants me to enter my password before letting me listen to the voicemail. Is there some place I can enter the same settings that work with the other method into the voicemail app so it works the same way or do I just delete the icon from my home screen and use the old tried and true method. I cannot find any place that I can enter setting information into the app.
Sim yet to be activated but started setup. Had registered my google account and was interupted. When I returned it was asking me to enter a PIN code. and said that emergency calls were available. I hadnt entered a PIN by this stage.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI turned on Auto Lock for the 5530. It prompted me for my lock code so i used the default factory lock code 12345. That worked, but then it told me that "Lock Code Expired". Then a New Lock Code screen comes up. I entered a new code, lets say 123456. Confirmed the code. Then I get an error message saying "Must contain both letters and numbers". But the 5530 only allows me to enter numbers and symbol characters. There are no letters to enter. So I am totally locked out of my phone.
I tried a hard reset RED + GREEN + Photo buttons but that did not work.

I upgraded the firmware on my N97 to 2.1 the other day and have had no problems since. This evening, after a reboot (no new software installed), it won't allow me to enter my 5 digit lock code. The keys are unresponsive. I've tried removing the battery etc..., but it's still the same. I want to avoid a hard reset if possible, as there is some info that is not backed up.
