Att is suppose to be getting me a new unlock code for my backflip, so that I can switch to Tmobile,Once my phone is unlocked, will I be able to remove the ATT bloatware or compile the android OS released from motorola without it?Will any other ATT restrictions on the phone be lifted once it's fully unlocked?

How do I turn this off? I do not use the phone for anything other than calling and texting; I have no apps or email accounts or google or anything else set up with the phone. I wouldn't even know how to use them, to be honest. I just want silent mode to mean everything is completely silent, no vibrating or anything.

My Sim card from Consumer Cellular worked with the phone but no other carrier Sim card will since it is locked. AT&T does not have the code to unlock this phone since I did not activate it with them. Motorola still has the code and they will not give it to me.

Anyway I tried to add another gmail acct this morning. And got an error msg "unable to establish a secure connection to server". After trying several times over a few hours, I began to wonder if it was Google or not, so I tried a hotmail account, same basic errror msg. Tried to check for any updates, and got the same basic msg.I can access websites through the browser, just not do anything related to system files.Talked to AT&T (No Help of course), as far as I can tell all settings are correct, even though I know there is a setting somewhere that is not right.

I turned it off by removing the battery as I didn't it to wait the boot process. After that the phone just don't finish booting up. I can see the blur logo, then goes into the at&t logo. View 6 Replies View RelatedMy BACKFLIP will reboot itself every few minutes. I don't have to be using it or doing anything with it and it will just reboot itself. It will reboot during a call, texting, charging or any other time it decides to do it. I have done several factory resets and it still does it. It has worked fine for almost 2 years and about a month ago it just started rebooting. There's nothing I've tried that will resolve this problem. The way it looks on the BACKFLIP page its a major problem with a lot of the BACKFLIP phones. This is the second BACKFLIP my family has had the same problem with. My brother just got tired of messing with his and got a new phone. If I could afford the upgrade charges of a new phone I'd do the same thing!
