I telephone T-Mobile today and requested the Carrier Subsidy Unlock Code for our Motorola Defy. They said that they would have it to me in 24 hours! Has anybody ever actually had that quick of a turnaround time on a T-Mobile Carrier Subsidy Unlock Code request?

On other moto phones, you can let it sit for some time, and it will let you enter the subsidy code again. But what about windows mobile moto smartphones? if you are locked out, is it the same- let it sit for a few hours?
I have the 8 digit network unlock code for my Atrix2, but when new carrier sim card is inserted it doesn't say sim not provisioned, and doesn't provide text box to enter code.Instead it gives me phone and text service but not mms enternet

You are providing means to unlock the bootloader on many newer devices already, and it shouldn't cost you much to provide us a mean to unlock the Defy as well.2. The warranty of many of our Defy devices is expiring, so even if we brick our device, we couldn't file a warranty claim anyway.3. The Defy is the 2nd most popular devices running CyanogenMod according to http://stats.cyanogenmod.com/, so we have a huge following.4. If you allow us to unlock the bootloader, we will consider it as a gesture of goodwill and will be more willing to recommend our families and friends to buy Motorola devices in future.

I've bought my 'Defy, motoblur - MB525' on 'T-mobile - UK. It doesn't seems to be connecting to 3G. I've gone thru different checks on the phone with t-mobile support, even sent my phone for 3 weeks but still the same problem. They'v ask me to sent it back. Mobile network is set on auto, but i m unable to view any videos or download a simple pdf, it takes very long to connect to some sites. There is always a 'G' on top of the screen.

And I can not enter the unlock code that I have provided in support of AT&T. I was advised to do a factory reset, wait a few hours and enter the code #073887 *, but all these methods do not help. If I try to unlock without sim card via code # 073887 * I get to unlock the menu, but it failed because the writing bug and network failure. How can I unlock and use the phone again?

I know that this voids warranty but every other mobility company has published a safe way how to unlock bootloader (like Sony or HTC). I really need this for Defy and it would be very unfair to users who don't have Atrix or Droid RAZR.

I installed now and it showed a bar where the progress was.I did not touch the phone and I heard another noise and went to look at the phone.It was black and when i tried to give the pin, it said Sim card locked emergency calls only. The pin is correct.I turned it off and took the battery out and in again then turned it on, but it is still the same.The battery is at 60% so it is not that.Why would this be please? Did I install a virus? It looked just like the normal official updates.

My Sim card from Consumer Cellular worked with the phone but no other carrier Sim card will since it is locked. AT&T does not have the code to unlock this phone since I did not activate it with them. Motorola still has the code and they will not give it to me.

I have unlocked and modded several phone before, did a google search on the i465 and only found pay sites, which is not what I want since I did pay one site 9.99 for the unlock code in the past and their code screwed up my phone.
I was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I dont know, what should I set in my laptot to use Defy like BT 3G Internet provider and I dont know, if Internet Tetherig via BT is not charged at my carrier (I know, that the 3G WiFi hotspot feature was not extra charged..) so for that reason I would like to make it working on my Defy.

I'm thinking of buying an 4s unlocked to use on Simple mobile carrier which they allow iPhones to be used on their not work but don't support it as stated on their website. Giving that it's an unlocked iPhone, all I would need is a Simple mobile sim card and I'm good to go but my question is.... will all features work? It would suck if I bought it at full price just to find out some features may not work on the unsupported network. It would defeat the purpose of having an unlocked iPhone if I can't use it on any GMS carrier.

today i tried to contact AT&T for their unlock requirements but I had a strange surprise: My IMEI was not listed in their system. At live chat they told me that my e-mail would be send to Apple to check what is happening, but still nothing happend (don't know if such promise was made or not).I bought this iphone in eBay and it is supposed to be locked to AT&T (saw it on box and model). Is there any e-mail support that Apple would answer? I can't receive/make calls since i am overseas right know to use their call service.
