Motorola Atrix HD :: "Phone Is Subsidy Locked'?

I work in the United States and Russia, recently purchased Atrix HD phone from AT&T. Now I am in Russia, and the phone is locked, the screen says "Phone is subsidy locked'. And I can not enter the unlock code that I have provided in support of AT&T. I was advised to do a factory reset, wait a few hours and enter the code #073887 *, but all these methods do not help. If I try to unlock without sim card via code # 073887 * I get to unlock the menu, but it failed because the writing bug and network failure. How can I unlock and use the phone again?

On other moto phones, you can let it sit for some time, and it will let you enter the subsidy code again. But what about windows mobile moto smartphones? if you are locked out, is it the same- let it sit for a few hours?

I'm new to smartphones and since getting my ARTIX have been using it instead of an iPod for listening to music, audio books, podcasts, etc.One problem however is that when the phone locks the audio player is no longer accessible beyond the volume control that's on the side of the phone.As a result whenever I want to pause, rewind or forward what I am listening to I have to unlock the phone to access the player.I asked my kids about this and they showed me how on their iPhones they could access the audio player without unlocking the phone. So far I have been unable to figure out how to do this on my ATRIX.After searching the settings on the ATRIX I found "Settings>Location & Security Setings>Security Lock Timer (when display is off)" but noticed that Security Lock Timer switch is "Gray" and unavailable on my ATRIX.

I telephone T-Mobile today and requested the Carrier Subsidy Unlock Code for our Motorola Defy. They said that they would have it to me in 24 hours! Has anybody ever actually had that quick of a turnaround time on a T-Mobile Carrier Subsidy Unlock Code request?

After the software update, the Atrix 2 is still locked to landscape mode when in the car dock.
enable auto-rotation while docked, if the response to this is that this is the expected behavior. I hate using the phone in landscape mode in the car, as it severely limits the visibility of certain apps -- PLUS, other apps force their orientation to portrait while the phone is in this mode, resulting in the need for you to manually rotate the phone just for that one app.

Is there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem.One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch.Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?

the phone was fine and then I heard a noise and notived there was a black square with insatll now or later. I installed now and it showed a bar where the progress was.I did not touch the phone and I heard another noise and went to look at the phone.It was black and when i tried to give the pin, it said Sim card locked emergency calls only. The pin is correct.I turned it off and took the battery out and in again then turned it on, but it is still the same.The battery is at 60% so it is not that.Why would this be please? Did I install a virus? It looked just like the normal official updates.

I use a Jawbone Icon HD bluetooth. If my phone is UNLOCKED, I can hold down the bluetooth button and I hear "Voice Dialing" and Voice Commands opens on my RAZR M allowing me to place a call.
If my phone is LOCKED, I still hear "Voice Dialing", but nothing happens on my phone. I tried SMART ACTIONS:
Triggers: Paried to a Bluetooth device (Jawbone Icon HD)
Actions: Launch an app (Voice Commands)
It is on (icon is in the status bar). If my phone is LOCKED, I hear "Voice Dialing" and sometimes I'll see the screen flicker on to the unlock page, but it immediately goes dark again and nothing happens. Isn't there a way to make a hands free phone call without the phone being unlocked and without using a car dock?

When i am trying to make a call to my another phone the dialer keeps on looping and does not disconnect, and when i call someone else as soon as i take the phone near to my ears the phone restarts.

I have a motorola Iusacell e815/e816 the problem is that I have no light on the phone screens, the outer window has all the data but no light, and in the main window, it stays locked hellomoto logo, receive calls, I make calls, send SMS, MMS, etc. but I can not configure anything, that could be happening.

I used have a music control even when the phone was locked. I can at least go to the next song, pause or go to the previous song. Now I don't have that option when the screen is locked.

I have motorola atrix 4 g unlcoked phone. I am located in India and want to use my instrument as modem to surf internet on my lap. Have spoken to my service provider and necessary changes were made, however service provided asked me to get Motorloa PC suite to be able to use phone as modem.

Something weird happened yesterday, which is why I'm on here today. My phone restarted itself twice, all on its own. I was using the Google Play Music app both times, although I wasn't actually listening to anything at the tme. I've never used the app, it came with my phone and yesterday was the first time I actually tried using it.After the second time it restarted itself, I found these issues: my Home button didn't work. When you hold the power button and get the options of silence, airplane mode, sleep, off now I only have two options: sleep and off. When you touch the power button to lock the screen then touch it again, I used to have on my screen a swipe to unlock and a swipe to toggle between sound and no sound. Now I have neither. Oh, and my ringtone and notification were set to silent and the haptic feed back and key tones were on (I had them set to off). Also, I had set up my keyboard with the Swype, and it was reverted to the multi-touch keyboard.
I guess most of these things are no big deal, I reset my ringtones and notification tones and my keyboard. And I can silence my phone though the settings or by toggling the volume button all the way down. And when I touch the power button, I guess it is locked because the screen goes dark. But the most annoying thing is the home button not working because now I have to hit the back button (sometimes quite a bit, depending how far into the menus I'm in) to get back to the home screen.My husband has the exact same phone as I do and he also used the app for the first time yesterday, however he is not having any issues with his phone. But he never seems to have any problems with his, and I always seem to have some little buggy things with mine although this is the most worrying problem I've had. I sometimes use whatsapp to chat to friends, but typing long sessions get tiresome quickly, so i want to control the phone from my laptop if possible.i installed droid vnc but as soon as i try to connect, the service stops. I wrote the author to see if i can get a fix.So i thought of another solution. Maybe i can put a bluetooth dongle in the laptop and somehow install a virtual keyboard in the computer so the phone can see it as a bt keyboard. I have seen a software for this but on linux only and i haven't been able to find a windows solution.

I purchased a Atrix2 sometime back but just recently was looking to connect it to my PC to download some stuff onto the phone.When I connect my phone to the PC (windows 7 64 bit), the PC is not able to install the required drivers for my motorola phone. It fails with an error that says failed to install something called "ADB" drivers. Bought a 32gb mico SD card. I am trying to use the moto phone portal and it is telling me that the SD card can not be found. Does it have to have a specific name or something? I was able to put music, photo's and apps on it and can browse the folders just fine so why cant the portal see it?

I have crap (edit) service out here in el cerrito. At&t was nice enough to give me a microcell. However for whatever reason, my phone doesn't connect (sometimes). No biggie, I just tap my airplane mode widget to reset my connection. It just happenedThis time when I was reconnecting, t-mobile popped up in my left hand service provider area. It was there for about 10 seconds. Then went to the red x. After that I was connected to my microcell. What was that all about.

I just purchased my Atrix phone yesterday. I am a complete newbie. At the store, the sales person moved my phone contacts from my old phone to the Atrix. When I got home I added my Facebook account and the app sync'ed my facebook friends to my contacts. Now I don't see any of the original contacts that were transfered when I purchased the phone.Is this a bug with the Facebook app, have the numbers been deleted or is there a setting that will display them?

Whenever I am in a call, the dialer stays on like I have set it to. However, it intermittently refuses to accept the tones. For example, with AT&T VM, it says press 7 to delete the message. I press 7, the phone makes the tone associated with 7, but doesn't do the action associated with 7. It will do it with other phone trees too, like "press 1 for English", etc. The numbers that don't work vary as well, and sometimes it works fine.

Whenenever I plug my phone in to my laptop to charge, the folders I created on the phone are immediately emptied. To be clear, the programs stille exist on the phone. It's just that the folders get emptied of nearly all of their contents.
It happens as soon as I plug the phone into the computer with the ethernet cord--it doesn't matter if I transfer any data.
Also, this problem does not happen when I charge the phone via an electrical outlet. It only happens when connecting my phone via the laptop. Recreating the contents of these folders is getting frustrating.

I can only periodically make calls normally by placing call and then putting phone up to my head and listening to phone ring, and person answer.For whatever reason then the phone will behave erattically. It will only let me make a call using speakerphone.I cannot put phone up to my head and listen through earpiece, and the phone doesn't black out when putting up to my head.I guess the proximity sensor doesn't work or is buggy.Also, sometimes when I double tap on the Home button/key to start voice dialing I should be able to hear the phone ask me what I want to do, but I can't hear anything but I can see on the screen that It is asking me a question - but can't hear anything as I normally should.Then, a few hours later it all works beautifully.I have rebooted the phone, taken out the battery and put it back in, hard reset the phone.I even have just now taken my screen protector off and the phone worked for a few calls as it normally should - i put phone up to my ear and screen blacked out and I could hear other person on earpiece.Then about an hour later none of that worked.I could only use the speaker phone.the phone didn't black out when making a call and putting phone up to my ear, and the double tap home button/key invoked the voice dial interface but i couldn't hear the voice/phone prompt like normal. and confirmation of my commands
The level 2 tech support at moto didn't help with any more troubleshooting than what I have already done.Which is: restart phone...reset phone to factory settings (hard reset) wipe all data off phone...taken off screen protector...none of this worked and produced consistent results to say that any of these procedures produced a positive change in the phone.I am within my 30 day trial period of this phone purchased from Motorola.

My phone froze on me at the gim yesterday.I was listening to music over blue tooth, receiveing and sending mails, and using Jefit Pro.I was registering a set, when a mail came in and my phone froze!But it was still vibrating from the mail so it was still shaking in my hand.None of the buttons worked, nor a long press on the power button. I ended up doing a battery reset.
