We enabled the power-on PIN option on the T401G, and created the PIN using the slide-out keyboard. We used letters and numbers in the PIN. But now when we power on the phone, and we're asked to enter the PIN...the slide-out keyboard is not activated. So we cannot enter the PIN, because we have no way to enter letters. The phone is basically unusable now. Things we're tried:
- remove battery & SIM, install battery, power on/off, install SIM.
- enter the wrong PIN (which is all we can do) many times (> 10)
- NET10's "solution" via e-mail is to hold down the */lock key, which does nothing.
When I get a picture message from someone is there anyway I can see who its from without opening it? I just got this phone 3 days ago and I don't want to waste minutes on pointless picture messages my friends send me.
I am using a Samsung T401G (Net10) but I guess this would apply to any Qwerty slider phone. My resolution is 176x220. No matter what I size the wallpaper at, it only works correctly in portrait mode, but when turned to landscape mode, it has gray bars at either side.
I have tried to download games to my Samsung T401g by using the website Umnet and choosing games that are suppose to be meant for my particular phone, but I am unable to open the games once they are on the phone. I would like to know if anyone knows how to do this and would they mind sharing step by step instructions with me. I have been successful in downloading videos, music, ringtones, and wallpaper. I would really like to download a few games.
Sim yet to be activated but started setup. Had registered my google account and was interupted. When I returned it was asking me to enter a PIN code. and said that emergency calls were available. I hadnt entered a PIN by this stage.
when I go to type certain letters on Swype (as in not actually "swiping," but just pressing single keys to enter an individual letter), the phone does not enter the letter, and it backs out of the keyboard app. Opening the keyboard back up to type then results in words failing to enter either through individual key presses, or through swiping. The word will show up on the word prediction bar, but will not enter, and the vibrate-on-keypress also fails. I then have to back out of the program that I was trying to type in, but every time I open it back up and try to key in a single letter, the same problem occurs. This problem comes about randomly, I have no idea what spurs the issue. Also, it seems to happen when I am trying to punch in a few specific keys ("K" especially, and also "D." May have noted the problem with 1 or 2 other keys, not sure).
i have recently changed from O2 to three and taken my number with me. I have requested, and received an unlock code for my S2, which I plan to sell, however, the instructions say: "Insert another network active sim in the handset. This should ask for a code. Input 8 digit unlock code when requested." But when I try another active sim, (I have tried both Three and Orange), it does not ask for a code
Is there a way to page up / page down when viewing text messages or emails? I'm tired of hitting the arrow key many times. Is there an enter key? When composing an email via gmail's mobile interface, hitting the down arrow tabs me to the send button, not to the next line in the body of the email. Is there a way to move from viewing one text message to the next text message without exiting the current text message? Is there a way to enter keyguard mode during a call so I can put the phone in my pocket while talking on bluetooth?
I have noticed but just a few times. I will have my phone keypad locked and in my pocket. I will take it out and unlock it and it says Power Save Mode. Then when another key is pressed it goes away. What is this? Is it an automatic thing or am I pressing something to activate it?
My Blackberry Curve had an auto power on/off feature. I could set it to turn off at midnight and then on again at 7:00, saving my battery. is there software I can download to my Samsung Code to enable this feature since I'm unable to find it already on the phone?
Anyone SGS2 owner encounter power button sometimes not working properly? Not able to sleep/wake and long press for turn off/flight mode. Recently, have to take out battery while flight boarding.FYI: This is my 3rd replacement phone. High possibility causing by Android system. Or another hardware issue by Samsung.
When I switched my phone off last night it was on 67%.When I woke up this morning at 7.00am it was on 17% and told me to connect charger. At 10.30am the battery indicator was showing 29%.At 12noon the indicator was showing 33% at which point it has remained for the rest of the day until now and it is reading 29%.how the phone discharges when it is switched off. Secondly how is it increasing in power?
ive been looking at things you can do with the otg cable for galasy s 2 an dam it looks cool. so i got myself a cable 2 acctualy cuz they werent very expensive 1 from amazon an 1 from ebay 2 different cables. it works when i connect a usb flash driver to it totaly fine no problems at all. so i tried my usb mouse/kb, but no luck after a little bit of research i found out that some kb/mouse dont work if they need power so i moved on from that. then i watched some videos an read some threads about using an xbox 360 wired pad but i have the same problem, the lights flash once an then dont come back on an acts like its not powered ive seen others use same pads online an they work fine but not for me.
ps my cables do work usb storage is proff an pad is perfectly fine as i use 2 pads on xbox an work fine.
I have a instinct that has a power button that doesn't work. I looked inside the phone and the mini ribbon with the 2 traces was damaged. Is there any way to replace that, or where to get a replacement ribbon?
My husband and I have each had an S2 w/T-Mobile for roughly five months. Several days ago his started restarting on its own any time the screen was turned off (either manually turned off by tapping the "power" button or when the screen timed out) but no other time. It was doing this for a couple of days. I contacted tech support and they suggested a factory reset, which I did. It came back online with no trouble, and he was able to log in to his accounts, make calls, send texts, etc. It didn't restart on its own at all for the couple of hours we had it with us that night. During those couple of hours it was plugged in to charge. We went to bed and the next morning it was completely dead. No response to any buttons, doesn't acknowledge when it's plugged in, nothing. We tried swapping batteries and SIM cards with my phone, and still nothing.
Sometimes when I need to reboot/reset my i760 (Winmob 6.1, Spb Shell) it will not finish the boot cycle. I turn it on, I get the Samsung logo, the dark blue static Verizon wireless screen, then it about a half a second into the next screen (where the Verizon wireless logo "floats" down to a light blue screen) the system powers off. You can just see the red check in the logo start to draw and head down and the system just goes off.I thought I had solved it by pulling the battery for about 30 seconds, but now that doesn't fix the problem anymore. The only way to make the phone power on is to connect it to a power source (charger or cradle). Then it powers on normally. It does not matter the charge on the battery at the moment - I've had it do it any charge level, including 100% just off a overnight charge. This battery will normally last me 2 days of hard use.Any ideas?
I woke up this morning and my Sch-A930 keeps "leaving svc area", "searching svc area", "entering svc area" and doing the process all over again . It might stay iin svc all of 2 secs before it leaves again . I did notice every once in a while the phone would display that it is in "power save mode." I had someone try to call my phone and it went to voicemail so I know it is sill on . I cannot send/receive calls/text messages .
After activating my Ultra Power Saving mode, I was able to deactivate, however my phone then went into a similar power saving mode, grey scale screen, no apps and no option to exit the mode available on any accessible parts of the settings. Is this a bug? or have I activated a mode I didn't intend to?
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.
