One letter on my keyboard has broken. Unfortunately, my unlock password contains this letter so I can't unlock my phone. Is there any way I can unlock my device remotely and change the password. I have tried using the desktop software.
View 1 Replieswhen I pulled my 9900 out of my pocket, I saw that the letter P had fallen off of my keyboard and into my pocket. No idea how that happened, especially since my phone is in top shape. I called T-Mobile to see if my phone was under warranty (I bought it the first day it was available in California, which was on August 31st, 2011) and if there was anything that could be done. They directed me to call RIM about the issue. I called RIM this morning and was told by the representative that the warranty is at T-Mobile's discretion and that I'd basically have to hash this issue out with them. So I just got off of the phone with T-Mobile, again, and was told that the button falling off wasn't a "known issue with this device," therefore the warranty was void and my only option was to buy a new phone. This is terrible, a $600 phone and within less than a year my button falls off. The sad thing about it is, I also own the 9700 Curve and I had this same issue happen, except it took more than a year before the letter P fell off of that one.

like the Iphone keypad? My finger covers the highlighted button which defeats the purpose of the highlighting and makes it 50% harder to type than it needs to be.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone off Amazon market place, and when I flip the phone to the left to use the qwerty keyboard, the letter 'E' does not work correctly, sometimes it does work but other's it just spams my phone with the letters next to it (W and R). The thing which confuses me is when I go to use a menu on the same place it works fine, just not on the qwerty keyboard, also when I turn the phone to the right to use the qwerty keyboard on that side it seems to work fine.

It had happened once before but it appeared to fix itself after not being used for a few hours. I have read something about moisture on other forums and I feel this may be the answer but it only affects the letter A.

From my previous software, it was named Keyboard Lock and I set it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that it no longer existed. A friend of mine purchased a brand new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the Keyboard Lock but it was named Password Lock instead. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe letter key "L" will not work when pressed, and seems like there is some sort of delay with that letter. Sometimes when it is pressed, it does compute the letter but multiple time and with about a 5 second delay. Most of the time it won't work at all.Now, the trackpad also does not work right. It will scroll up ,down,left, and right at home screen, but will not do any of that in the BB menu or apps like Facebook. I can use it properly in the viewing of scent calls and viewing of recent texts. But once I open a text I cannot scroll again.There is a way around all that, if I hold down the alt key I can scroll again, but of course my letter al is not working.

I can't delete/press enter/anything.I have a new 9900 that I'd like to transfer the 9700's contents to. The trouble is, I can't enter the 9700's password (which I know) to unlock the 9700-with-dead-keyboard. Also - hte content is encrypted.Is there any way around this? I hav a new Blackberry curve. Unfortunately the e key is not working (possibly after condensation forming on the device). Luckily my password does not contain e Unluckily I entered the password incorrectly. And now I have to enter BlackbErry to continue Unfortunately I cant type the E. way to get round this, either by getting the E to work, or by circumventing the "BlackbErry to continue " check?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy daughter dropped her 9300 and broke the screen. A friend said if she got a new one on eBay he'd fix it, which he did. It appears whilst disassembling it to do so he managed to pull the micro SD reader, port, whatever it's called - off. Totally off, it is now no longer attached to anything and the pins it should have slotted onto were all bent out of shape. I tried to straighten them and they came off as well!Is this repairable or are we looking at a new phone?
