when I pulled my 9900 out of my pocket, I saw that the letter P had fallen off of my keyboard and into my pocket. No idea how that happened, especially since my phone is in top shape. I called T-Mobile to see if my phone was under warranty (I bought it the first day it was available in California, which was on August 31st, 2011) and if there was anything that could be done. They directed me to call RIM about the issue. I called RIM this morning and was told by the representative that the warranty is at T-Mobile's discretion and that I'd basically have to hash this issue out with them. So I just got off of the phone with T-Mobile, again, and was told that the button falling off wasn't a "known issue with this device," therefore the warranty was void and my only option was to buy a new phone. This is terrible, a $600 phone and within less than a year my button falls off. The sad thing about it is, I also own the 9700 Curve and I had this same issue happen, except it took more than a year before the letter P fell off of that one.
is there any warranty on this because i am in need of the button and Im not sure if there is warranty or if i am going to have to buy a new phone and my phone is only 3 months old. i have the blackberry bold 9780
have a problem with the bottom left shift key falling out?Not a scratch on it, never been dropped. They (The Source & Bell Canada ) want to send it away to be "fixed: I cannot be without my phone!!Bell and RIM should just replace it.
One letter on my keyboard has broken. Unfortunately, my unlock password contains this letter so I can't unlock my phone. Is there any way I can unlock my device remotely and change the password. I have tried using the desktop software.
like the Iphone keypad? My finger covers the highlighted button which defeats the purpose of the highlighting and makes it 50% harder to type than it needs to be.
I just got this phone off Amazon market place, and when I flip the phone to the left to use the qwerty keyboard, the letter 'E' does not work correctly, sometimes it does work but other's it just spams my phone with the letters next to it (W and R). The thing which confuses me is when I go to use a menu on the same place it works fine, just not on the qwerty keyboard, also when I turn the phone to the right to use the qwerty keyboard on that side it seems to work fine.
Has anyone else had a problem with their Atrix while texting where the phone (or keyboard) adds a different letter arbitrarily while typing. In my case my phone adds the letter "Q" however its in lower case. I have removed battery and restarted multiple times. No better.
i bought blackberry bold 9900...i m facing problem with keyboard...it is not fitted properly and trackpad is not working comfortably...can anyone tell me what i can do and what is the guarantee period of keyboard???
I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.
Now I am told I have to use my insurance and pay the deductible. The warranty is void because the key fell off? And what do I do six weeks from now if another key falls off? And six weeks after that?
I do know the backspacing and retyping trick, but I want to know if anybody has ever found a way to keep it uncapitalized automatically these days. I know it's capitalized for grammar, but I still want it to be uncapitalized. I just see TEXTING differently than an e-mail, essay, reports, etc.
I notice my capital letter button (the one on the right hand side) stuck time to time. If I press it, it goes away, however it comes back a few minutes later. I thought at first, that my joystick doesn't work, but it's this thing. I took the blackberry apart and even then it's doing it. Also the joystick is playing up. Now it's not doing anything.
When I first got the phone, the little red notification did show up above the letter when I got a new email. But after A certain time frame, it would go away. I then found out that after I do a battery pull, it fixes the problem for a while, but then it goes back to not showing the little red notification again. I was wondering if their was a way to fix this? or if its just a permanent bug.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
I would like to use all of me "letter" options to set speed dial contacts. Right now I can not access the "A" speed dial contact, it is lick as "Lock Keypad". How can I unlock these special keys?
I got my blackberry torch a while ago and about a month later the front panel (calling buttons and back buttons) fell off. i was just using the buttons and they come loose a few days later they fell off. i could not at this time send the phone off to be repaired but i am now trying to and they are saying it will cost me a lot of money although my phone is under warranty?
Screen wont turn on for iphone 4s, after it fall in water. Kept under bulb for 1 day, but now the display is just off. I can make calls to the phone and it rings, but no display.
My cousin dropped the phone in front of me while make a phone call. The phone fell on a grass and doens't turn on. I've tried hard reset etc but still doesn't turn on. I then plugged it to the mains and the phone turned on. Its not detecting the battery, service provider, wifi and Bluetooth. Seems like some problem with communication system. When I take the main adaptor off, the phone switchs off. I need my phone bad as all the contacts, phone calls but scared it will take so long to get it replace or serviced. The phone doens't look like its water damaged, something else is wrong with it.
it fell in the toilet face down, was only in there for like 30 seconds. none of the stickers are damaged they're still white. when i took the phone out it didnt have much water init. i took the battery sim and memory card out over night and it still wont turn on. instead of a red light its turned blue and flashes. i tried charging it and plugging it into my laptop it wont charge either. the screen has got like white lines but if you touch or warm the screen they go. what do i do? its a brand new phone aswell im not on contract so i cant easily get it replaced.
so my friends iphone button for the silent/ringer popped off, his iphone 3g is over a year old and the button looked like it fell off, he can use his fingernail to move it up and down but thats really digging ur nail in, its like the cap popped off or something, think we can take it back to apple to get it fixed?

My iphon4 fell from the height of about 20~30m and hit the back cover against concrete... The battery was bumped out and the back cover cracks... But the screen was actually intact!!!
I had someone familiar with iphone help me change the battery and back cover. It can normally work...!!!! What a miracle. The quality of iphone is really out of my expectation.
