My E7 had fell in the water about 3 weeks ago. I dry them with cloth and hair dryer from far. Than I put them in the bucket of rice. It work fine , but the led light keep flashing when I make a call. Now the screen suddenly gone grey. I haven't got it insured. Only got it after it was available in UK on contract. Please help. Can it be repair? If so I will have to send it to o2. I just want to know if it still repairable in that condition.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy cousin dropped the phone in front of me while make a phone call. The phone fell on a grass and doens't turn on. I've tried hard reset etc but still doesn't turn on. I then plugged it to the mains and the phone turned on. Its not detecting the battery, service provider, wifi and Bluetooth. Seems like some problem with communication system. When I take the main adaptor off, the phone switchs off. I need my phone bad as all the contacts, phone calls but scared it will take so long to get it replace or serviced. The phone doens't look like its water damaged, something else is wrong with it.

I have a new iPhone 4 and a cup of water fell on it today. The water damage indicators did not turn red but they both now have a gray spot on them both. Is this an indicator of water damage for apple?
View 11 Replies View Relatedtoday listening to my iPhone at the beach, a huge wave clobbered me. I grabbed it from the water as quickly as I could find it and dried it off asap. I tried to turn it off to keep it from shorting out, but it won't. I have it in a ziploc baggy with 2 pouches of industrial size bags of silica, but every time I try to turn it off it looks like it is powering down and then restarts itself.

It troubleshooted and was working for maybe 15 minutes and then went dead again. since then when I plug it in only the apple icon appears for less then half a minute then its dead again.

My friend spilled a drink on my phone and it will no longer turn on. I have over 2,000 picures on there, which I thought had transferred into my itunes, but never did. Is there any way to get them off of my phone or anything Apple can do?

My phone has been acting really strange recently (multiple apps shutting down, long app loading time, extremely bad battery life-- almost 20% decrease with 2 hour use) So I visited apple store today and they told me that all of the symptoms were due to water damage of my phone.
And water damage was least of my suspections. Okay so my phone has been near water, but never in it. I take my phone to the shower sometimes for music and that's the closest my phone got to water. The apple store showed me how the supposed to be white sticker inside the charging jack turned red and they told me that my warranty is now void.
They also told me that I need to pay $200 if I want a replacement and that there is nothing they can do when I told them that this phone has never been in water or suffered water related accidents.
I asked them if there was only one water damage indicator in a iphone. The person told me that there were four, two on the outside and two in the inside. He opened up my phone and told me that only one water damage indicator (external one) but they only need one indicator to turn red to void my warranty.
When I repeatedly told him that I never had my iphone near water he told me that it only takes one drop of water to trigger the indicator and that it could be anything like a raindrop. I think this is absurd.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iphon4 fell from the height of about 20~30m and hit the back cover against concrete... The battery was bumped out and the back cover cracks... But the screen was actually intact!!!
I had someone familiar with iphone help me change the battery and back cover. It can normally work...!!!! What a miracle. The quality of iphone is really out of my expectation.
Thanks...apple...

It was in a sof case and surrounded by a hard case. The only areas exposed to liquid was the charger and speakers. At first, the display came on and the unit charged sporadically. Now, it will not power on at all. Even when it did power on the screen was VERY dim. About 1 inch fell into the shake (strawberry, for the curious) and I did not rinse it off - just wiped and cleaned with QTip and toothpick. Any help out there? Should I open the phone and try to clean it out? It is over 2 years old and no warranty or contract.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I pulled my 9900 out of my pocket, I saw that the letter P had fallen off of my keyboard and into my pocket. No idea how that happened, especially since my phone is in top shape. I called T-Mobile to see if my phone was under warranty (I bought it the first day it was available in California, which was on August 31st, 2011) and if there was anything that could be done. They directed me to call RIM about the issue. I called RIM this morning and was told by the representative that the warranty is at T-Mobile's discretion and that I'd basically have to hash this issue out with them. So I just got off of the phone with T-Mobile, again, and was told that the button falling off wasn't a "known issue with this device," therefore the warranty was void and my only option was to buy a new phone. This is terrible, a $600 phone and within less than a year my button falls off. The sad thing about it is, I also own the 9700 Curve and I had this same issue happen, except it took more than a year before the letter P fell off of that one.

View 2 Replies View Relatedthe panel of buttons on the front (with the answer key etc on) has fallen off?I took it back to my provider but they say they can't fix it under warranty as they said it's 'physical damage' It just fell off!! The sticky pad holding it onto the phone just isn't that sticky.Under the blackberry warranty terms it states "...that the BlackBerry Hardware will be free from defects in workmanship and materials" sureley this is covered as it's a defect in the materials?

Phone is still under warranty, but since I use it alot and according to my previous experience with nokia service in my country, it can take up to two or three weeks, if and how could I put the switch back myself?
