My daughter dropped her 9300 and broke the screen. A friend said if she got a new one on eBay he'd fix it, which he did. It appears whilst disassembling it to do so he managed to pull the micro SD reader, port, whatever it's called - off. Totally off, it is now no longer attached to anything and the pins it should have slotted onto were all bent out of shape. I tried to straighten them and they came off as well!Is this repairable or are we looking at a new phone?
We are from Guadeloupe in French West Indies. Guadeloupe is a french overseas department, thus we are considered as european customers.
One of our N900 had his micro USB port broken like others cases in /t5/Maemo-Devices/Nokia-responds-to-reports-about-the-N900-micro-usb-port-getting/td-p/629019 So, 2 months ago, We went to the local Nokia Care Point (there is only one in Guadeloupe). We went today to this shop to have news about my mobile and, the guy explained me that the nokia's factory bring them up the phone and could'n repair it... He gave me back my phone, but he didn't give me back my poor little micro-USB port.
So, I have 2 questions : First : what are the solutions proposed by Nokia for the customers in French West Indies (Guadeloupe and Martinique) ? Second : why do you propose low quality services for us (comparatively with "normal" customers from France) ?
I bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 6 months ago, which is under a year-long warranty, from Carphone Warehouse. A month ago, the Blackberry stopped being able to charge so I took it into the shop and the phone was inspected, and I was informed the phone would be fixed under the manufacturers warranty and returned within 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later I was told to collect my phone as it was fixed and it had been returned UNFIXED as I was told the damage was NOT covered by the warranty, after being initially informed it was. What has happened is one of the prong inside the micro USB port has broken off so the phone won't charge. This has also happened to a friend of mine, so surely it is down to faulty materials? I don't understand why this is not covered by the warranty.
I was wondering if Blackberry themselves would be able to fix my phone (as Carphone Warehouse are refusing to, unless i pay £170 - more than the phone is worth. I have taken this up further with them but have constantly received poor customer service and am not willing to deal with them anymore).
I have a BB 8350i and the usb port is broken. I have already ordered a new one and have the phone tore apart. Now what? I am looking at this thing and I am stumped.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my wits end!
My contract is 10months into a two year contract & my charghing port has broken. I have read on numerous forums that this seems a common fault but there asking for £65 to repair it which I dont have so hence i now have no phone & am still paying for a contract. anyone else heard of thie problem. I also wanted to email blackberry but ther seems to be no way of contacting them this way.
Took out a 24 month contract on vodafone in May this year with a curve 8520. When phone was charged I unplugged the charging cable and the port came out on the end of the cable (apparently a common fault with this model)
I returned the phone to Vodafone and they sent it away to be checked out, only to inform me that because I didn't take out insurance I am liable as they class it as physical damage. The phone should still be covered by a 1 year manufacturers warranty but nobody is interested in repairing or replacing it
Today, randomly the headphone port stopped working, when I play music with headphones in, they are not recognized and music is played through the speaker instead. Do I have to replace the jack? I have rebooted many times. When the headphones are halfway in, the phone recognised them for a short while but then carries on playing through speaker. My software version is 6.0 BUNDLE 2647 (v6.0.0.600, Platform 6.6.0.223).
I got yesterday the two Duracell cell USB chargers ( Instant and PowerHouse) and it is very funny but I can not charge my blackberry. I used obviously the micro USB, try different cables, lenghts, etc...and there is no way to charge it. Even a friend of mine has a Torch and it did charge either.... It charges my kindle, Droid;( all of them micro USB) but no the curve 9300 Any experience with the Duracell or other usb micro chargers othe than BB?
The trackpad on my curve 9300 keeps breaking. I cannot click or scroll at all. Normally, it's not too bad with a few attempts of taking the battery out then putting it back in, but last night, the screen went white - again - so I took the battery out and it said I had no battery though I had at least 40% on there. When I put the battery back in, and the phone began loading, the menu thing came up. I tried to click, 'unlock' and nothing happened. Seconds later, the screen went black as if the phone doesn't recognize my trackpad anymore. I am sick and tired of having a phone that doesn't work! I wouldn't be as mad if it was the first time, but the thing is, it's happened before and every time I go to the phone shop, they say 'oh, it's not our fault, we'll send it off for repair' and when I eventually get it back (2 weeks later) it works for 4 weeks, and I send it off again. I have sent the [hone of 4 times for 'repair' and each time, it takes 2 weeks; that's 8 weeks, or 2 months that I still have to pay 25 pounds in my contract for a phone that doesn't even work. That's 50 pounds wasted on the worst phone available. I got my current phone back in September (after fighting with my phone provider) and it broke in February.
I have a Nokia N97, the charging port as broken, so i require this to be replaced....
I was wondering is the charging block (available from ebay) connected with a screw or is it attached to the main pcb (motherboard) of the nokia headset?
Will this be covered under the warranty at all?
The Headset was given as a birthday present.... so will this be okay?
My note 3 was able to access a second SD card through the micro USB port. I just tried to access an external hard drive that way. (with my LG g4) No luck so far. The G4 just doesn't see the hard drive.
Is it possible -via an adequate wire- to connect an external drive to the Xperia Ray through the micro-USB port, and manage its content through a regular 'file manager' Android app?
It would be useful, for instance, for unloading your reflex camera memory while you're travelling!
My phones bottom gold pin on the micro usb charging port broke. Is this covered? My phone has not been abussed, it is over protected with an Otter Box Defender case. I took it back to US Cellular and they wanted $50-$150 bucks to fix it with there own techs, and I also pay for the cell protection, they want $100 bucks to replace it.
I lost the little eloastomeric (EPDM, BUNA?) cover for the micro USB port. SE support says replacements are unavailable. I'm sure there were millions of the components molded at the OEM manufacturer. Anyone know where to get Sony Ericsson parts?
The port on my iphone 5s recently broke. I haven't backed my phone up in weeks and since I can no longer plug my phone into my laptop, I'm not sure how I can retrieve my photos, notes, etc. that were placed on my phone after the last time it was backed up. I have no clue how to recover my info since my phone no longer works. I know my phone has a sim card but I've never manually saved anything to it so I guess my second question is does my phone automatically save info on the sim card and if so, what type of info does it save on it?
The micro usb charging connection has broken on my phone. Part of the board that the charger connects to has snapped off, (the V+ pin used for charging).
I have taken the phone apart and can see the micro usb connection that needs to be replaced but can't seem to find an exact replacement anywhere. I orderd these from Wurth [URL] and am waiting for them to come.
Also has anybody ever changed this component that can tell me the best way to do it (i.e. use a heat gun to take off old one) or point me in the right direction off some instructions (you tube video perhaps).
According to my IT guy I need to get my phone to pull emails out either on port 995 for SSL POP3 or on port 993 for SSL IMAP. My phone errors out when I setup the account through the phone. Koodo does not allow setting it up through a browser. They say the server I have used my 8830 on for years is not compatible with my new 9360 and that it is a Blackberry problem!
finally, with USB-2Go, I can find valid reason to upgrade from N70. good pixel camera, ability to browse files from external drive, and HDMI out. Well my question is, is the USB2Go port seperate from the HDMI out port ? If yes, does it mean I can use the N8 to browse my external drive and play video thru my HDTV ? So Nokia N8 can be my full fledged media center, radio player, camera, phone
Want to get a headstart on a memory card for my 9800. All the literature about specs refers too Micro SD not Micro SDHC. Are these inter-changable, It seems tougher to get a high capacity Micro SD?
I purchased a 9360 in January of this year from O2 UK. Yesterday my charging port came out and was stuck to the end of my charger. I have lost my receipt, although shouldn't it come up on O2's system I bought it from them once I provide my details? I have read on here the charging port coming out has been a problem with other bb users and would like to know if this problem is covered by the 1 year warranty?
My 8330 just started to have problems with its usb/charge port. I plugged it in last night before bed like I always do, but when I woke up it hadn't charged a bit and wasn't even recognizing that it had been plugged in. I tried my USB data cable as well, and that didn't register either unless I wiggled the cord around and held it still once it did register. I eventually did get the phone to register that I had plugged it in, but I had to wiggle the cord just so and leave the charger half-way plugged in once I found the sweet spot.
We developed a web for mobiles in the port 81. [URL] We have some users with Blackberry curve 9300 and they can't connect to this port. There aren't problems for the Iphone or Android users.I'm searching in differents forums and everybody says that I have to install Opera. But nobody says how I could do it from BB Browser.Maybe fom browser options or BES server?
The part on my BB Curve 8330 where you charge/sync it is loose and starting to fall out. I'm unable to charge/sync my phone anymore. Is there a way I can save all the information on my phone without syncing it?? I don't even remember the last time I did it, so I know there's a lot of new info on my phone. Also, does anyone know if this is covered under the Verizon Warranty?? I would appreciate any help ya'll could offer me! Thanks so much!!!
I'm looking to upgrade the 1GB Micro SD card in my BlackBerry Curve 8320 to allow more music tracks to be stored. I want to know what's the largest size card that will work in his model? I understand that this is dependant on the operating system version. So I downloaded the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1), and this offered to upgrade the OS in my phone. The version on the phone is now v4.5.0.174 (Platform 2.7.0.105). Presumably the 8320 cannot be upgraded to version 5. I've also seen this link:URL...
Ok not being funny but have read the instructions to the phone and searched on the net, but there is absolutely nothing in any of them that shows you how to insert a card into this phone, or even tells you where it goes. I have removed the battery looked inside no identification marks to out a card in, no visible places to slot a card in.
I have recently upgraded to the BB curve 9300 and I'm having trouble with gaining access to my micro sd card files(pics/ring tones) that are on the card.
