I lost the little eloastomeric (EPDM, BUNA?) cover for the micro USB port. SE support says replacements are unavailable. I'm sure there were millions of the components molded at the OEM manufacturer. Anyone know where to get Sony Ericsson parts?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI could not find a rubber cover/case. I bought the plastic hard rubber item that is fake paint that looks like rubber and scrapes off real easy. The plastic underneath is white so it looks like crap after a few weeks.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed this last few days that the USB charging port under the little flap on the side of the phone has started to move a little. The phone will still charge it, but is quite arkward. I must place the phone gently and not touch it whilst the little red light is on. I am ultra careful when it comes to these USB charging ports as I know how tempremental they can be. But, it seems my careful nature has not stopped what I hoped would not happen. As I say, the phone will charge atm, but I feel it wont last. After noticing this problem, I googled it and it appears MANY others have experienced the same problem of the socket inside the phone coming out with the charger, So I doubt it coincidence.I studied the charger supplied with the phone to find 2 small flexible grips on the plug, obviously to hold the plug into the socket, but no button or latch on the plug housing to retract these grips upon removing it, The only way to get the plug out is to pull it out. I feel that after many a charge, most of these ports are going to come loose, with constant tugging of the grips on the socket housing. Furthermore, I have also read that Sony will not repair this fault, deeming it un-intentional cosmetic damage and design flaw damage, not covered by the warranty. It appears as though the charging socket will fall out of my phone, deeming it un-chargable and so, un-usable which to me is at no fault of my own and Sony would do nothing about it.Could someone shed some light on this issue for me please? Might i be able to have my Phone repaired?

Yet it won't reformat the Micro SD. Plug it into my computer and it recognizes it as a 32GB card. MediaGo recognizes it as a 2gb card. All software, phone and mediago has been updated.

If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs.Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 6 months ago, which is under a year-long warranty, from Carphone Warehouse. A month ago, the Blackberry stopped being able to charge so I took it into the shop and the phone was inspected, and I was informed the phone would be fixed under the manufacturers warranty and returned within 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later I was told to collect my phone as it was fixed and it had been returned UNFIXED as I was told the damage was NOT covered by the warranty, after being initially informed it was. What has happened is one of the prong inside the micro USB port has broken off so the phone won't charge. This has also happened to a friend of mine, so surely it is down to faulty materials? I don't understand why this is not covered by the warranty.
I was wondering if Blackberry themselves would be able to fix my phone (as Carphone Warehouse are refusing to, unless i pay £170 - more than the phone is worth. I have taken this up further with them but have constantly received poor customer service and am not willing to deal with them anymore).

So, 2 months ago, We went to the local Nokia Care Point (there is only one in Guadeloupe). We went today to this shop to have news about my mobile and, the guy explained me that the nokia's factory bring them up the phone and could'n repair it... He gave me back my phone, but he didn't give me back my poor little micro-USB port.
So, I have 2 questions :
First : what are the solutions proposed by Nokia for the customers in French West Indies (Guadeloupe and Martinique) ?
Second : why do you propose low quality services for us (comparatively with "normal" customers from France) ?
My daughter dropped her 9300 and broke the screen. A friend said if she got a new one on eBay he'd fix it, which he did. It appears whilst disassembling it to do so he managed to pull the micro SD reader, port, whatever it's called - off. Totally off, it is now no longer attached to anything and the pins it should have slotted onto were all bent out of shape. I tried to straighten them and they came off as well!Is this repairable or are we looking at a new phone?

I took it back to US Cellular and they wanted $50-$150 bucks to fix it with there own techs, and I also pay for the cell protection, they want $100 bucks to replace it.

They recognize themselves, I can connect and give a password. And next it disappear, as a broken connection or a hidden phone. I try from PC to the spiro cellphone, and also from the spiro to PC, same result. It seems sometimes it find again the connection, but only for 2 or 3 seconds, and next it disappears again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to be able to establish a Bluetooth connection from the Satio to the TomTom (Go 720) once as paired devices with a trusted connection, but the next time I try to connect it does not work. If I delete the TomTom connection from my Bluetooth devices in the Satio, then I can do it once more, putting in the code and authorizing the connection and it works for a while. After the TomTom has been switched off and the connection has been lost, the next time I switch on the TomTom I cannot connect. I never had this problem with my previous phone (Nokia) and the same TomTom device.
