Lastly, this Zylo of mine has one feature that drives me nuts. Despite me trying everything, unless I keep pressing keys, the screen goes blank after around 10 secs. It is an absolute pain when I am browsing or reading/sending texts or e-mails.

Dec 3, 2010I recently purchased a Zylo handset from the Orange Shop. It worked fine until yesterday but now the ear speaker is totally silent on both incoming and outgoing calls. I have checked the loud speaker, which is fine as is the microphone. There appears to be no other issue with the handset at all. Is there some sort of option I have accidentally turned on?

Oct 18, 2010I bought the Zylo almost two months ago and I'm already having a problem with it. First of all, I can't hear a call from the handset itself, I have to speak from the speaker. Which is very inconvenient. The Service centre was not very helpful. He said check up from so and so date to check when the spares come in.i have to wait till the store opens and then call up and check when my phone can be repaired. Second problem that cropped up today is that my menu button does not work when the slide is open. My software is up-to-date as I updates it two days ago. Also I find the battery life very weak, isn't this supposed to be a walkman phone? I am outraged to find such problems with an SE phone so early into use. This has never been manhandled, why the problem then?

Oct 21, 2010Sony Ericsson Zylo or W200i(I have no idea which one is it), is one phone which I worpship a lot! It have crystal sounds, great mp3 player, videos are so cool as well and the camera not to mention is awesome as well. One day I was at my grandma to help her with some stuff, and while listening to radio I was wandering, why zylo can be radio and have radio antennas, but not being mini TV and not have some sort of antena for television? I searched a lot on google to find out for any sort of telephone having TV with antenna or something, and I came out with this thing called "TV Tuner".
I searched a lot about Zylo if can have it or if I need to buy it and implement it like the recharging thing but still no clue. Then I searched only if any sony ericsson have at all this TV Tuner thing and I found only those "X10i" and "SO903i". So the big question is, why Zylo can have such clear videos(I convert movies or videos to small format and send them to memory card), but no TV at all? Is there a way to implement it or to make a tuner for people like me, which need to watch the sport, news and such after having a break from driving a car or bike on long distance. I hope such thing can be made and sold, this will be awsome to buy and have!

Oct 27, 2010I am having a trouble with my Zylo phone. When I get the sms the phone does not recognize the number and display the sender's name. I was not having this issue from the beginning. From about a week's time I'm facing this issue. Also it is not happening for all the numbers. Only for few numbers the phone is not recognizing the contact. (I have checked the contact and both the name and number are present). When I clock the options and select Use Number and when I select the Call option, the phone recognizes the number and displays the name of the person when calling. However the SMS is not recognizing the number.

Nov 19, 2010I have a real problem at sliding when I slide down the buttons are enlighted(the control ones : up, down, left, right, answer, hang up and the other two ) , BUT when i slide up they are not anymore I also tried to see in the dark how do i manage to use the cellphone and it does't work quite well I hope you can find something that will help me I also have to tell that I updated the cellphone once to the final update and I also master reseted it.

Oct 13, 2010As the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.

Apr 12, 2010Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont
