I purchased a 9360 in January of this year from O2 UK. Yesterday my charging port came out and was stuck to the end of my charger. I have lost my receipt, although shouldn't it come up on O2's system I bought it from them once I provide my details? I have read on here the charging port coming out has been a problem with other bb users and would like to know if this problem is covered by the 1 year warranty?
My 8330 just started to have problems with its usb/charge port. I plugged it in last night before bed like I always do, but when I woke up it hadn't charged a bit and wasn't even recognizing that it had been plugged in. I tried my USB data cable as well, and that didn't register either unless I wiggled the cord around and held it still once it did register. I eventually did get the phone to register that I had plugged it in, but I had to wiggle the cord just so and leave the charger half-way plugged in once I found the sweet spot.
My contract is 10months into a two year contract & my charghing port has broken. I have read on numerous forums that this seems a common fault but there asking for £65 to repair it which I dont have so hence i now have no phone & am still paying for a contract. anyone else heard of thie problem. I also wanted to email blackberry but ther seems to be no way of contacting them this way.
, I got my blackberry in October and its been working fine until a couple of days ago, It says its charging when its really not, and sometimes when I plug the charger in it does not work , a friend of mine had the same thing happen to her
When I plug my iphone 4 into the usb port it will show that its charging, but all by itself it will all of a sudden be not charging within a minute. anyone else having this problem?
According to my IT guy I need to get my phone to pull emails out either on port 995 for SSL POP3 or on port 993 for SSL IMAP. My phone errors out when I setup the account through the phone. Koodo does not allow setting it up through a browser. They say the server I have used my 8830 on for years is not compatible with my new 9360 and that it is a Blackberry problem!
I have a Nokia N97, the charging port as broken, so i require this to be replaced....
I was wondering is the charging block (available from ebay) connected with a screw or is it attached to the main pcb (motherboard) of the nokia headset?
Will this be covered under the warranty at all?
The Headset was given as a birthday present.... so will this be okay?
I have a Pearl 8100 I stopped using because the charging port got damaged and there was no way to charge it anymore. Other than that, the phone is in perfect working order. I saw somewhere that the port can be changed. How easy is it to do so? Any videos out there on how its done? I probably wont do it myself anyway, but very curious to know.
I plugged it into the wall, usb, docks, everything. Nothing happens. I can't see a water damage indicator and i cleaned out the port on my phone very well, not sure what can be done, and if need be can it be replaced at an Apple Store?
After reading about this, I was redirected to down-load a driver so that my PC could charge the EM 330 battery though a USB port. However! There are TWO drivers and the instructions say, choose the one for your phone! There is no indication which driver would be associated or appropriate for my phone! Since I was directed there beginning with questions about the EM330, can I ASSUME that BOTH will work or then which one do I choose to install on my PC ?
I have bought a 3rd party battery case which covers the rear of the phone and has a built in battery for emergency charge if I (god forbid) run out of juice when im out and about.
The only problem is, is it does not charge the phone, i have contacted the seller regarding this issue and they have sent me a second case to try but this is exactly the same.
My Motorola V188 will not charge via USB port. It works fine with AC adapter, but I'm going overseas, and my AC adapter is 110v only. The logical way to charge is through the mini-USB port, but the manual says it needs drivers for that. They have two download options for drivers to allow charging. Neither one of those will install -- they do not match the device. Why did they make this so difficult? Does anybody have ideas how to get this phone to charge via USB port?
The thing that drives me nuts about this phone is that you can not see the usb charging port in a dark room. On many ocassion i have had to plug in my charger in the dark and i find myself always fumbling around for minutes to find the port. The thing that makes it even more frustrating is that there is already a LED there! It just doesn't turn on unless the battery is dead and the phone is plugged in. Motorla calls it a "sign-of-life" LED. What a waste of resources because most people who keep their phones charged will never see this LED light-up. Why didn't you guys make it toggle on with a long push on the lock button? Then you could easily see the ports? This seems like the most usefull and obvious thing to do with this LED.
Also what happened to the camera application? My wifes X2 takes amazing pictures wheras the Droid 3s turn out afwul. Can I use the droid X2 app on my D3? Besides these two gripes this is an amazing phone and I am very happy with it.
My E7 is 6 months old. The phone has not been damaged in any way but the charging port is faulty. I have tried different chargers and the same problem, , you have to wiggle the lead to make connection. Vodafone told me that this would be a wear and tear issue and therefore not covered under warranty. RUBBISH I say! If it has worn out then the phone is not "fit for purpose" I have spoken to Nokia who have advised me that they are seeing a problem with the charging port on a small number of the E7's. Nokia need to make Vodafone aware of this issue and Vodafone need to start listening to they loyal customer of over 20 years!
The charge port seems to be damaged as it cuts out when connected to my car stereo and it takes some jiggling to get it to connect to iTunes and to charge. My kids have ripped it off the cord and docking port on many occasions...I assume it's damaged from this! I don't have the apple care and don't have time to go to an appointment for them to just tell me they need to replace the whole phone.
Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, No apple care, AT&T service
I have a first generation Storm and the charging port has evidently worn down to the extent that can't be reliably used. On top of that I have some memos backed up that are invaluable to me. What is the best way to retrieve that data? Does the file icon available at each memo's location provide any alternatives?
My phones bottom gold pin on the micro usb charging port broke. Is this covered? My phone has not been abussed, it is over protected with an Otter Box Defender case. I took it back to US Cellular and they wanted $50-$150 bucks to fix it with there own techs, and I also pay for the cell protection, they want $100 bucks to replace it.
In order to keep safe theĀ USB port, I use a magnetic charging cable. Days ago I've try to use the USB port and the behavior was weird, each 2 seconds the connection change between USB and Magnetic Port (Fake)... then the battery starts to discharge very fast, becomes hot and stop the charging. USB Connection with PC have no problems and the charging with Magnetic Port is also right... I already tryed to restart the phone, and flash a new firmware.
finally, with USB-2Go, I can find valid reason to upgrade from N70. good pixel camera, ability to browse files from external drive, and HDMI out. Well my question is, is the USB2Go port seperate from the HDMI out port ? If yes, does it mean I can use the N8 to browse my external drive and play video thru my HDTV ? So Nokia N8 can be my full fledged media center, radio player, camera, phone
I have a BB 8350i and the usb port is broken. I have already ordered a new one and have the phone tore apart. Now what? I am looking at this thing and I am stumped.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my wits end!
I bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 6 months ago, which is under a year-long warranty, from Carphone Warehouse. A month ago, the Blackberry stopped being able to charge so I took it into the shop and the phone was inspected, and I was informed the phone would be fixed under the manufacturers warranty and returned within 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later I was told to collect my phone as it was fixed and it had been returned UNFIXED as I was told the damage was NOT covered by the warranty, after being initially informed it was. What has happened is one of the prong inside the micro USB port has broken off so the phone won't charge. This has also happened to a friend of mine, so surely it is down to faulty materials? I don't understand why this is not covered by the warranty.
I was wondering if Blackberry themselves would be able to fix my phone (as Carphone Warehouse are refusing to, unless i pay £170 - more than the phone is worth. I have taken this up further with them but have constantly received poor customer service and am not willing to deal with them anymore).
We developed a web for mobiles in the port 81. [URL] We have some users with Blackberry curve 9300 and they can't connect to this port. There aren't problems for the Iphone or Android users.I'm searching in differents forums and everybody says that I have to install Opera. But nobody says how I could do it from BB Browser.Maybe fom browser options or BES server?
My daughter dropped her 9300 and broke the screen. A friend said if she got a new one on eBay he'd fix it, which he did. It appears whilst disassembling it to do so he managed to pull the micro SD reader, port, whatever it's called - off. Totally off, it is now no longer attached to anything and the pins it should have slotted onto were all bent out of shape. I tried to straighten them and they came off as well!Is this repairable or are we looking at a new phone?
I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge. -I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord. -charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C. any suggestions? -Unit has never been wet, nor dropped. -Carrier is T-Mobile
Took out a 24 month contract on vodafone in May this year with a curve 8520. When phone was charged I unplugged the charging cable and the port came out on the end of the cable (apparently a common fault with this model)
I returned the phone to Vodafone and they sent it away to be checked out, only to inform me that because I didn't take out insurance I am liable as they class it as physical damage. The phone should still be covered by a 1 year manufacturers warranty but nobody is interested in repairing or replacing it
there is no charging symbol to show my phone is charging , the battery life increases but no symbol , im using a wall socket inlet also tried the usb cable as well.
Today, randomly the headphone port stopped working, when I play music with headphones in, they are not recognized and music is played through the speaker instead. Do I have to replace the jack? I have rebooted many times. When the headphones are halfway in, the phone recognised them for a short while but then carries on playing through speaker. My software version is 6.0 BUNDLE 2647 (v6.0.0.600, Platform 6.6.0.223).
