How does one edit a linked contact when the field to be edited is not shown when in the edit mode?
Alternatively, is it possible to convert linked contacts into a single (preferably google) contact?
Over the weekend, I was suddenly no longer able to edit any of my existing contact information or add new contacts. I updated my phone, and that did nothing.

Just got an Xperia X10. I have been trying to edit some contacts. When I finish editing, I tap "done", it says "saving contacts", then when I look in the contact list, that contact is gone! I've lost 3 contact details so far.

This is what I see when I edit a contact. Not only does it look like crap, it doesn't even contain any text tones when I select "+Text tone":
The two lists are different! Why I can't pick the same sounds for contacts?
I am a user of blackberry 9900. My first query is about the group i have created in the contact list.
I can create a group but when i try to edit or delete one person ,it prompt for save, discard or cancel. I am able to click on save but it never comes out of that screen. Even if i close it forcefully and go back to contact tab it opens the same screen and will not let me edit the name or delete it.
My second query is about the 3G service. My service provider is Airtel in India.
They informed that this set is not compatible with 3G services hence you can connect to laptop/desktop to access your internet but will not work on mobile.
I have imported a contact list from my SIM on to the RAZR I but the listing is last name first. I have selected first name first from the menu in > contacts in both fields but without success. It only changes the "me" profile. It doesn't matter if I try and change the SIM list or the phone list.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis error sometimes disables access to my contact list (both directly through the dialer or through text messaging) for several minutes. I can delete contacts and add new contacts (although adding contacts sometimes results in the same crash). I have, on maybe two occassions, been able to successfully edit contact information through the contact list on my Photon, without this error appearing. But it has been several days since then. Yes, I've rebooted the phone several times without any effect on this problem. I've also killed the application through the task manager and then started the application again, also with no effect.

When I'm in my contacts and "edit" them to place a picture I have in my gallery, there's no option for selecting the exact face or spot you want before finalizing the perfect fit for the contact you just edited. My Droid X does this and it is a nice feature. Am I mising this somewhere on the Bionic?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I have some contacts with outdated phone numbers. When I open up the contact in question and then hit the edit tab I often don't see the number(s) that need to be changed or deleted. Across the top of the screen right under the "save" and "cancel" tabs I see a horizontal list of where this contact has an entry - - Google, Phone, Cloud, WhatsApp. Sometimes the phone numbers I'm looking for are in one of these but there seems to be no way to edit these as the entries are greyed out so they cannot be changed.
FWIW on the main Contacts setting I have it set up to only display Gmail linked entries.
How to get rid of incorrect phone numbers listed in any given contact entry?
I updated the software on my iphone 4. In the final stages, it asked me if I wanted to merge my contacts to ICloud? I said yes and it finished the sync. Now I have no contacts on my phone. Where did they go? I am lost without my contacts?

I set up my Droid with my original gmail account, I'll call it gmail1. For various reasons I want to have 2 additional gmail accounts so I played around, created them in gmail, I'll call them gmail2 and 3. Cause I wasn't sure what I was doing I ended up with contact lists for each with slightly different info and they all got merged into my contact list on my Droid.So the net is I have a person with 2 addressess, another with 3 birthdays (all the same day, but merged from the 3 accounts. would like my Droid to only sync contacts with gmail1, but the contact list already contains the extra data. Is there a way to eliminate that extra data? I removed the contacts from gmail1 and 3 and synced them to the Droid, but all their stuff still exists in my Droid contact list.

There doesn't seem to be any way to override this other than unlink the Twitter account, then I end up with duplicate contacts. I know this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it in search. Is there any way to override this?

Today I updated the google photos app to ensure that my photos were being backed up and now the photo editing options have changed and they will no longer save. When i click the pen icon to edit it has different editing options and every time I try to save a picture it says "unable to save."

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using my Xperia Z2 for months now with a couple of options of how to edit apps. Every time I took a picture, then pressed the small preview pic, it prompts you to choose an app to open it in. Up until last weekend I could open my pictures in a free, pre-installed app (I believe just called photo editor) which allowed me to add things like a HDR Scape to the photo and adjust brightness, saturation etc by scrolling up or down on the screen. That has been completely removed and the editing apps I have now aren't anything near as good as what I was using.
