If you change the dpi to anything lower than the default dpi of 640, the camera UI is no longer full screen and there exists a black margin at the sides.
Since Xposed App Settings does not work here, is there a way around this?
I am a new user of Xperia Mini.As the upgrade to the ICS is not easily reversible, I would like to know what exact changes to camera interface/behaviour are introduced in the update. Particularly:
Since the 5.1.1 upgrade I can not edit any photos? It says I need to download the photo editor but when directed to the page there's no such editor any more? Here's what comes up when I select the photo editor..Rotate, crop etc works fine
So I have some contacts with outdated phone numbers. When I open up the contact in question and then hit the edit tab I often don't see the number(s) that need to be changed or deleted. Across the top of the screen right under the "save" and "cancel" tabs I see a horizontal list of where this contact has an entry - - Google, Phone, Cloud, WhatsApp. Sometimes the phone numbers I'm looking for are in one of these but there seems to be no way to edit these as the entries are greyed out so they cannot be changed.
FWIW on the main Contacts setting I have it set up to only display Gmail linked entries.
How to get rid of incorrect phone numbers listed in any given contact entry?
The user interface that is shown in the Nokia Business website for Mail for Exchange is completely different from the one that I get in my E71. The one in the screenshot looks like the Nokia Messaging client but on my E71 it is plain vanilla. Interestingly, the phone that the swanky UI is featured is a E71 too. Is the UI morphed for the advertisement whereas the actual is what I get on my phone. I am using MfE v3.x which is the latest.
I recently bought a Nokia 6121c and I'm loving it, My father has the exact same phone but his appears to have the menu and calendar on the main screen. I've searched the manual and asked around but to no avail. Could anyone help me out?
This is a picture I found on google images with the same interface enabled for reference.
Friend of mine owns the Samsung Wave - it's a seriously good phone, however I am waiting to get the iPhone 4 when I can get my hands on one in the UK. The thing that struck me about the Wave though was how nice and informative the home page is. Uncluttered with icons, notifications when you receive missed call/text etc. Full screen wallpaper with nothing else on it. Does anyone else think that a new interface/update for the iPhone is way overdue? Surely when they release the next software update it's not too difficult to allow more customisation for us iPhone owners? On the Wave you don't even have to unlock the phone to see if you missed an event. It's all there on the front screen. Just a thought.
I really hate writing this. I own a E71 & 5880 Xpress with mild but optimistic expectations. Now, Its been less than 6 hours that I bought a new E72 and I will return it as soon as possible, its simply the best example of how can the worst possible software written in a phone annoy a user as much as to forget that his holding one fine and beautiful piece of technology. Who? please tell me who! is the software development manager of the company? The interface is as disturbing as it can be, every time you try to do whatever yo have to, it answer tons of "are you sure", "I can not do it without it", "can I help you doing in the easy way this thing that was easy in the past but now we made it just as incredibly complicated as we could for the sole purpose of wasting our time and yours", and even worst written in a lingo that only Nokia's IT find excusable when they send themselves brief SMS. As an example did you know this phone has a Michelin Guide?, but of course. From startup screen > press home button > search & press applications > search & press GPS > search & press Maps | and then > define or not an access point > accept or not the extra cost warning regarding roaming > then accept or not the warning of assisted GPS > then search & press Michelin. I swear I'm not joking.
I don't expect Nokia to copy from Apple's or Android's or Palm's even HTC or WinM but please, come on, how can it be that this phone is worst than the predecessor. Another curiosity, this phone has a compass but no app to use it, actually its disabled why? Someone please explain? (I could fix it with some blogs & a 3rd party app just in case someone wants to help). You can also use the space bar as linter unless there is any other application running in the background (like Nokia's own web browser o email client). Screen transitions? why? does it look like Apple?, someone must have asked: now that we have a faster processor what can we do? and found reasonable the answer: put transitions in between so it ends up being much slower. If your listening to music and put your E72 in your pocket, all the music changes thanks to the magic of the Optical Navi Key and the list goes on ans on and on.
If I use the carholder, the phone is holding in a landscape position but the display on the screen doesn't swap automatically in landscape! (for example if I use maps)
This only happens on my phone when I use the slide qwerty keyboard. But that is impossible in the carholder.
So, is there any way to swap (manual or setup something?) the display in landscape position without use the slide qwerty keyboard?
If I receive a message (SMS for example) then press back to read another SMS from a different contact, and then try to reply to the second message I read for some reason my 9700 sets up a reply for the message of the first sender and not the second sender. This is a recent problem and can not seem to figure out why it is doing this. This best way to describe what it is doing is "lagging".Also, sometime when I select "katie" in my phone it will randomly call "nancy".This happens multiple times in a row.
My touch interface is jumping around erratically and not sensing my touches correctly. iPhone 4s. The last thing I did was to install a backgammon game
i noticed that when i use wireless connection on nokia x3-02, speed is not that good (i use the same wireless with my laptop and speeds are much better). also, if i browse Internet with opera mini (connected to wlan) and want to watch the video in hq (normal is by default) i get the message: "not enough bandwidth, quality less than normal". internet connection to my provider is 8mbps, so i think this should not happen. it seems to me that nokia x3-02 wlan interface speed is much lower then it should be...
Having enterred in to the third week of my life with an x10 (Android 2.1) the frustration level is still high, and one thing that is really annoying is the way you pick up a number to dial from your phonebook. When I open up the default Phonebook on the x10 and selct a contact, Mr AAAAA, I am presented with 7 fields with mr AAAAA's numbers: his Home, Work, Mobile, Home Fax, Work Fax, Pager and Main. I do only have one telphone number of mr AAAAA and that is his mobile number that is correctly stored in that field; that means that the other six numberfields are empty. So far, so god.
Since all 7 fields are listed as a selectable option each item in the list become quite thin, approximately 0.5 cm high, and since most grownups on this planet has fingers that are wider than 0.5 cm it requires some precsion to select the right field. This is my problem, when I try to select Mr AAAA's mobile number, the x10 often selects the number besides (below or above) although that field is empty! The x10 then tries to set up a call to a blank number and obviously the call fails (and I am back to the initial screen again).Surely this must be a bug, why is an empty field selectable at all? One can even wonder why it is at all presented in the list of numbers since it is empty; I could understand if the field is selectable if I had pressed the "edit" key but that is not the case. The correct way would be to present all 7 filed although only the fileds contain a number should be selectable and the other dimmed, this standard hotlink concept. I consider this as a bug and wonder if I am the only one with this problem and if someone has found a solution to this problem. More important, is this a bug recognized by Sone Ericsson and is there a solution in the pipeline?
I own a Milestone2 handset, nevertheless I wanted to ask this in Droid2 community because it allows to access wider American users globe, I want to know if MHL adapter works on Milestone2/Droid2 in their raw state? And how to restore Motoblur interface when I first skipped it during first time motoblur account setup?
I have two folders shared on my home PC (Intel C2D 3.0 / Win7 / 4GB RAM / 768kbps upload DSL). When I login to the web interface and try to play various things I notice a couple problems.
Fast forwarding through videos sometimes (even on the same file) doesn't work (and once displayed some cryptic error if I see it I'll update this post) Going to > Music > Songs sometimes loads all of my files (5,000 files) or sometimes loads 400 initially and stops. Clicking on another tab like Music > Files shows the PC is offline, then clicking back it is back online again. The zumocast.exe client on the PC stopped responding. I had been trying to play files on a remote PC when it stopped working then I came home and tried to go to the configuration to see if it was responding but it wasn't.
It seems like the client gets lost when trying to buffer things, it needs some sort of reset command when activity slows or maybe the web interface should be able to send a stop/start to the client. It seems like a TCP/IP issue with the host program. Perhaps the web interface should prompt the user when loading large directories. E.G if files are more than 500, show a pop up prompt in browser "show more?"
Re brand my TM506 I followed the instructions on Viki and I haven't modified my phone further, if not is there a way to at least get My Fever interface back up and running?
Since upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 it no longer works with my 2009 Audi A4's AMI/MMI interface. I have replaced the cable to discount that, but it makes no difference. After a lengthy attempt to connect I am given an error on the Audi's MMI screen saying that either the cable or device are not compatible. Hard reboot doesn't fix it. It worked fine before the update.
Info: iMac 24", 4GB, 1TB, Mac OS X (10.6.1), Additional 20" Display
I have just bought a nokia x6 and paired it to my Audi car interface. It accepts the phone book and lets me make outgoing calls but there is no sound coming through when accepting a call. My husband's phone is also paired to the car and he can receive calls with no problem.
I use Motocast both on my phone and my web browser (when I'm on a PC away from home). The problem I'm having with the web interface of motocast is that when I go to my Videos, the directories are sometimes wrong but they are listed correctly on my phone. Here's an example, when I go to my videos I click on the TV Series directory. That takes me to all the directories in that folder, but, some of the Sub folders in there are showing up in place of the parent folder. So instead of the Firefly directory, I have a directory named Season 01.
I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
When I leave the camera app, my phone is apparently accessing my camera and taking a picture. The photo isn't saved in the gallery, but then I go into the task manager, I see a photo of wherever I was when I left the camera app. Is there a way to disable this?
when I log into OVI Mail everything looks fine. Still nearly nothing is working as it should:
- Clicking on Compose Mail I get a circle rotating but nothing more happens
- If I want to check the checkbox to delete some mails the mail opens rather than checking the checkbox
- Clicking on Reply/Delete nothing happens.
- Logout doesn't work
- could go on with some other quite serious bugs as well
- This is the same for 4 different PCs using IE on WinXP and Win7, Firefox on Win7, Firefox and Chrome on Ubuntu 11.10, no help deleting temporary data That has happened before some weeks ago, but then worked again - then also a search field was available in the web interface. Now the search field is gone again and not to much seems to work.Besides the web interface there are some other issues:
- Outlook can not connect most of the times
- My N8 can not connect most of the times (neither 3G nor WiFi)
This makes OVI mail basically useless - I'm thinking of changing to a different mail provider because it OVI mail is very unreliable to me.
I've been running my Desire S for about 6 months now. Just about set up how I like it. nnoyingly it has developed a problem where after playing with any app and pressing the home screen, 9 times out of 10 I get the white background with green HTC logo, then a "Loading..." message over the home screen. When I go back to the app I was *just using*, it acts as if I've opened it for the first time and forgets where I was, what pages I was on, which album I was currently listening to etc.I've tried a few things suggested by the Internet: - Restarting the phone (of course)- Removing all widgets from home screen in case one of them has crashed- Checking I am not regularly running out of ram- Checking I am not dangerously close to running out of iternal storage- Unmounting the SD card- Un-installed any app I've added in the past month- Checking none of the app icons have become duplicated on top of each other (??? hey I was getting desperate)I have also been keeping an eye on the Services tab but to be honest, things seem to restart so often in here that it is hard to identify which one is acting out of the ordinary.
I took this into the t-Mobile shop, explained that I know they are not HTC tech support but that they might have seen the issue before and have a bit of a clue with the phones they sell, explained what I'd done above and they came back with the most unhelpful of default cop-out answers: "Software update."Latest Android version available through t-mobile is 2.3.3 which I am on.TC Sense is at v2.1oes anyone have any ideas? I would really rather sort this out without having to factory reset my phone. Firstly as I had my phone pretty much set up how I wanted it, secondly I have so many apps for which I have no idea how to reliably transfer their saved info (mostly music creation apps with their own save formats/locations) and thirdly so that I know how to resolve this when it inevitably happens again.
In version 40, when receiving a call the old answer button was replaced by a sliding button. The same goes for the alarm. The old stop button was replaced with a new sliding stop button.I was in a call, the phone suddenly crashed and restarted. After that both sliding buttons don't appear when receing a call or when an alarm goes off.Is there any solution other than reinstalling the firmware update or hard resetting the phone?
I've run into a rather odd issue with fastboot. It seems that any command entered comes back with the following:ERROR: Couldn't create a device interface iterator: (e00002bd)
There is no issue with adb, and I have tried re-installing both platform-tools and the entire SDK, but no luck. I don't run into this problem in Windows either,On further analysis, it looks like it has something to do with OSX. I've disable SIP and gatekeeper, and the issue still persists, so it looks like I'll just have to use windows for fastboot!
After installing Microsoft Apps I found Nokia email app changed: some shortcut missing (new email, for example), D-Pad navigation reduced (no ability to reach the top: accounts, order of emails, ..), an inconsistently composer interface (white background, rounded fields, etc). It's been Microsoft Apps or a Nokia update? I didn't notice it before though.
