View 2 RepliesMy brand new iPhone is acting in an erratic way. She I push to start an app, something else happens. Other apps open (close), the screen jumps around, etc.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
I've noticed today only ( I purchased the phone around the end of February 2014 new direct from Apple) that the ringer volume is going from mute to regular volume setting I have it on by itself. It erratically changes from mute to volume to mute and back again flashing on the screen like its possessed, when its just sitting there...not being touched at all...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my Bionic is on the charger that came with the phone, the touchscreen acts totally erratically when trying to use it. If I'm trying to type a text message, it randomly hits letters, backspaces, etc. Same thing for trying to scroll and select stuff. However, the phone charges just fine. When I use the charger that came with my OG Droid dock, the phone is fine. Touchscreen works perfect. Same goes with the Moto car charger I have.
Assuming it was a bad charger, I spoke with Motorola chat online and they agreed to send me a new charger. I received it today (although it seems it's a different type of charger. It's not the USB cable with a wall adaptor, but an old school charger where the cable is permanently attached to the wall adaptor) but the phone seems to be doing the same thing (although it's not as severe as it was with the original charger that came with the phone).
I noticed that the compass on google map (blue little arrow) is a bit crazy. it will not point north. It may point west but when I tilt the phone up or down even just a bit (still pointing north), it will flip to pointing east. If I drive with the Map app open, the arrow (using GPS I guess) point to the direction of driving. but a few seconds after stopping the around will flip between 90 and 100 degrees, until I start moving again. I found that google sky also goes totally crazy and jumps all around when I use it. I downloaded a compass app and it also shows the compass moving erratically when I move the phone even a few degrees. Although this phone is brand new (4 days) it is not my first Android nor my first Moto. I remember that my other phone had a compass calibration utility and I can't seem to find it on the Razr..

I'm having trouble with my new iPhone 5s, I'm using the latest software iOS 7.1.2.
I justĀ got the phone today and set it up no more than 2 hours ago And what im experiencing is when I scroll down the screen will jump back to the top of the page I'm on. When I do scroll successfully my finger remains on the screen but the screen keeps rolling down quite quickly. Pressing buttons sometimes won't register and when it does it registers on a letter or number near the one I chose, I understand it could be because I use my thumbs so I've tried index fingers and get the same effect.
Also dragging apps won't work as when I try to do it, it's like I'm removing my finger from the screen and the app jumps back to the original place.
I've done a hard reset soft reset wiped the phone started from scratch cleaned the screen even washed my hands, and still no solution.

Friend of mine owns the Samsung Wave - it's a seriously good phone, however I am waiting to get the iPhone 4 when I can get my hands on one in the UK. The thing that struck me about the Wave though was how nice and informative the home page is. Uncluttered with icons, notifications when you receive missed call/text etc. Full screen wallpaper with nothing else on it. Does anyone else think that a new interface/update for the iPhone is way overdue? Surely when they release the next software update it's not too difficult to allow more customisation for us iPhone owners? On the Wave you don't even have to unlock the phone to see if you missed an event. It's all there on the front screen. Just a thought.

Since upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 it no longer works with my 2009 Audi A4's AMI/MMI interface. I have replaced the cable to discount that, but it makes no difference. After a lengthy attempt to connect I am given an error on the Audi's MMI screen saying that either the cable or device are not compatible. Hard reboot doesn't fix it. It worked fine before the update.

The user interface that is shown in the Nokia Business website for Mail for Exchange is completely different from the one that I get in my E71. The one in the screenshot looks like the Nokia Messaging client but on my E71 it is plain vanilla. Interestingly, the phone that the swanky UI is featured is a E71 too. Is the UI morphed for the advertisement whereas the actual is what I get on my phone. I am using MfE v3.x which is the latest.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDefinitely a hardware problem as it does it on recovery. It is getting progressively worse.
Used to be when it was hot, bit even doing it at normal temperature now. Took phone apart and remade all connectors, still the same.
Samsung Galaxy S5--the keyboard recently started jumping up and down on the screen. I have tried a factory reset of the phone, but it didn't resolve the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated to the 2.3.4 KG6 firmware and rooted with Chainfires kernel. I have now resolved an initial problem I had with magnetometer using GPS Status. But the GPS is still about 50m off at times and jumps about, a few hundred metres (sometimes it says I'm in the middle of the Mersey River, ha ha). I have Fasterfix installed but it's not making a difference and GPS Aids v3 doesn't work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOk, today, I just started having an issue where my screen seems to jump around. I've had the phone since February, and no issues until today. I fear it is hardware, but want to try and get a second opinion. [URL] ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nokia 6121c and I'm loving it, My father has the exact same phone but his appears to have the menu and calendar on the main screen. I've searched the manual and asked around but to no avail. Could anyone help me out?
This is a picture I found on google images with the same interface enabled for reference.
If you change the dpi to anything lower than the default dpi of 640, the camera UI is no longer full screen and there exists a black margin at the sides.
Since Xposed App Settings does not work here, is there a way around this?
I don't see any option on my screen other than. Flash option. No settings and mode options o are only auto or pan. How do I get full options .
View 1 Replies View RelatedEach time I go out and return to sit back at my PC, OVI Suite window jumps out.Now dear developers, if anyone reads it - this issue is dreadfully annoying and has been reported on many forums for a really long time.Yet on all the threads I've seen (at least here, at Discussions) I have seen no single entry saying "we will fix" or anything. If coding a simple checkbox "do not pop out" is really that hard, then at least say "we will not fix it". Just few words of information would be sufficient.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have only just got an xperia play today, and I find it a good phone. Only problem is the screen will occasionally Spaz out.It will move independently jumping to different homescreens, even activating stuff on them.At first I thought it was the screen protector that I put on but I've removed it but it had done it once since then.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have owned mine (8GB) for just over a month now and only use the supplied headphones. On every run the music (just set to shuffle) after about 20 minutes just starts jumping from one song to another - I tried resetting, one/off and have updated the software but all to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI really hate writing this. I own a E71 & 5880 Xpress with mild but optimistic expectations. Now, Its been less than 6 hours that I bought a new E72 and I will return it as soon as possible, its simply the best example of how can the worst possible software written in a phone annoy a user as much as to forget that his holding one fine and beautiful piece of technology. Who? please tell me who! is the software development manager of the company? The interface is as disturbing as it can be, every time you try to do whatever yo have to, it answer tons of "are you sure", "I can not do it without it", "can I help you doing in the easy way this thing that was easy in the past but now we made it just as incredibly complicated as we could for the sole purpose of wasting our time and yours", and even worst written in a lingo that only Nokia's IT find excusable when they send themselves brief SMS. As an example did you know this phone has a Michelin Guide?, but of course.
From startup screen > press home button > search & press applications > search & press GPS > search & press Maps | and then > define or not an access point > accept or not the extra cost warning regarding roaming > then accept or not the warning of assisted GPS > then search & press Michelin. I swear I'm not joking.
I don't expect Nokia to copy from Apple's or Android's or Palm's even HTC or WinM but please, come on, how can it be that this phone is worst than the predecessor. Another curiosity, this phone has a compass but no app to use it, actually its disabled why? Someone please explain? (I could fix it with some blogs & a 3rd party app just in case someone wants to help). You can also use the space bar as linter unless there is any other application running in the background (like Nokia's own web browser o email client). Screen transitions? why? does it look like Apple?, someone must have asked: now that we have a faster processor what can we do? and found reasonable the answer: put transitions in between so it ends up being much slower. If your listening to music and put your E72 in your pocket, all the music changes thanks to the magic of the Optical Navi Key and the list goes on ans on and on.
I have a N97 mini and bought a nokia car holder.
If I use the carholder, the phone is holding in a landscape position but the display on the screen doesn't swap automatically in landscape! (for example if I use maps)
This only happens on my phone when I use the slide qwerty keyboard. But that is impossible in the carholder.
So, is there any way to swap (manual or setup something?) the display in landscape position without use the slide qwerty keyboard?
If I receive a message (SMS for example) then press back to read another SMS from a different contact, and then try to reply to the second message I read for some reason my 9700 sets up a reply for the message of the first sender and not the second sender. This is a recent problem and can not seem to figure out why it is doing this. This best way to describe what it is doing is "lagging".Also, sometime when I select "katie" in my phone it will randomly call "nancy".This happens multiple times in a row.
