Samsung Galaxy S II :: Inaccurate GPS And Jumping Around With 2.3.6 KG6
Aug 28, 2011
I updated to the 2.3.4 KG6 firmware and rooted with Chainfires kernel. I have now resolved an initial problem I had with magnetometer using GPS Status. But the GPS is still about 50m off at times and jumps about, a few hundred metres (sometimes it says I'm in the middle of the Mersey River, ha ha). I have Fasterfix installed but it's not making a difference and GPS Aids v3 doesn't work.
Lately I've been noticing that the displayed time on my home screen widget is inaccurate. A simple tap on the widget seems to rectify things but it's weird. I'm using Transparent Weather Clock but I also noticed the same thing using the 3D Flip Clock widget.
Interestingly, my wife is using the Note 2 and she's having the same problem.
As this is happening with multiple widgets on multiple phones I feel safe in assuming that it's not related to the devices themselves or the widgets per se.
Samsung Galaxy S5--the keyboard recently started jumping up and down on the screen. I have tried a factory reset of the phone, but it didn't resolve the problem.
My girlfriend bought a used iPhone 4s several months ago, and soon after noticed that the battery indicator didn't reflect the real charge. Sometimes it would switch off at 28%, and other times the battery indicator would go from fully charged to almost nothing in a very short period, without using any battery hungry apps. Even when the indicator seemed to work properly the battery would only last a few hours under regular use.Â
The problem remained after I upgraded the phone to iOS7, so I figured the battery was just on its last legs. However, today she had a brand new battery fitted (probably off-brand, as she had it replaced in a technology market in Bangkok), and the problem persists. The phone switched off when the indicator read 30%. Â
what could be causing an indicator problem that persists with different batteries?
Since have charging issues with the original cable that came with my phone breaking and getting a new phone my phone has not been accurately showing the battery usage below 60% it just cuts off there. Time wise it seems to be wearing down at a normal rate though. How do I remedy this issue?
The Battery usage graph is way inaccurate. One Day is represented by couple of lines as compared to showing the full chart The start date is 20th March.
On the run viewable on the link below, the workout terminated at the completion of the 'loop', whereas it should have terminated at the start point, this caused the stats to be off by at least a km. Is there a setting to prevent the motoactv from doing this? [URL]
random restarts - the first month i had my electrify, it would only restart itself once a week or so. now within the last couple of weeks its jumped up to around 5 times a day. i kept track of variables as the restarts happened, and it does it at any battery level and during anything im doing, such as text, pandora, Internet, in-call. my first guess is that is in app that constantly runs in the background, and i was wondering if any more experianced users could tell me where and what to look for.
I bought an N8 shorty after it was released. Slowly over the past three or four months, the touch screen detection has been slowly becoming inaccurate. The phone detects that I am pressing slightly above where I am actually pressing. Is there any solution to this problem?
My screen on my Iphone 3S is jumping ever so slightly, this just started, I have power it off and then turned it back on and its still doing the same thing,
My brand new iPhone is acting in an erratic way. She I push to start an app, something else happens. Other apps open (close), the screen jumps around, etc.
I'm having trouble with my new iPhone 5s, I'm using the latest software iOS 7.1.2.
I just got the phone today and set it up no more than 2 hours ago And what im experiencing is when I scroll down the screen will jump back to the top of the page I'm on. When I do scroll successfully my finger remains on the screen but the screen keeps rolling down quite quickly. Pressing buttons sometimes won't register and when it does it registers on a letter or number near the one I chose, I understand it could be because I use my thumbs so I've tried index fingers and get the same effect.
Also dragging apps won't work as when I try to do it, it's like I'm removing my finger from the screen and the app jumps back to the original place.
I've done a hard reset soft reset wiped the phone started from scratch cleaned the screen even washed my hands, and still no solution.
Ok, today, I just started having an issue where my screen seems to jump around. I've had the phone since February, and no issues until today. I fear it is hardware, but want to try and get a second opinion. [URL] ....
Each time I go out and return to sit back at my PC, OVI Suite window jumps out.Now dear developers, if anyone reads it - this issue is dreadfully annoying and has been reported on many forums for a really long time.Yet on all the threads I've seen (at least here, at Discussions) I have seen no single entry saying "we will fix" or anything. If coding a simple checkbox "do not pop out" is really that hard, then at least say "we will not fix it". Just few words of information would be sufficient.
I have bought a new BB curve 9300 about 3 months and all of a sudden last night the trackpad started jumping around on screen. If I move it one place up it jumps down or to the right.
My touch interface is jumping around erratically and not sensing my touches correctly. iPhone 4s. The last thing I did was to install a backgammon game
I have only just got an xperia play today, and I find it a good phone. Only problem is the screen will occasionally Spaz out.It will move independently jumping to different homescreens, even activating stuff on them.At first I thought it was the screen protector that I put on but I've removed it but it had done it once since then.
I have owned mine (8GB) for just over a month now and only use the supplied headphones. On every run the music (just set to shuffle) after about 20 minutes just starts jumping from one song to another - I tried resetting, one/off and have updated the software but all to no avail.
I've got a Nokia N95 with the latest 35.0.002 firmware and a brand new genuine Nokia BL-5F battery. When I first got the battery I cycled it twice to calibrate the gauge as recommended. However, it shows 100% 7 bars until the battery is almost discharged, when it will drop about a bar every 10 minutes until it no longer switches on. This is quite annoying as I don't know how much battery I have left. I'd like it to stop lying to me and drop steadily according to how much charge is left. Also, if I discharge the battery a bit by, say, browing the web so the battery gauge is still showing full and then plug the charger in for a few seconds and unplug it again, it then shows me the true battery level by dropping a couple of bars. However, it will get "stuck" at this level until the charger is connected and disconnected again. It shows full for about two days of heavy usage - WiFi, 3G, GPS and all that, upon when the gauge drops. Is there a way to calibrate it better or should I flash the phone again? Or is the battery faulty?
Im having a few random issues with my phone for example the space button jamming and some infrequent and odd behaviour.I'm hoping that a firmware update would help sort most of this out but my phone keeps freezing and blanking out whilst attempting to update. I have the latest versions of PC Suite on my computer and my phoneI have the latest softwareI am attempting to update from version 21.024 (current) to 31.023 (update)During the update process, the phone freezes and the only way I can get the phone back alive and working is to take the battery out and re-insert.
I'm new to the forum and have some frustration after "upgrading" to OS 6. I have a Curve 3G through Verizon Wireless, and when I got it a month ago all was great with OS 5. I updated it to OS 6 when it came out a couple weeks ago from VZW, and since then have had a ton of problems. The first was battery drain, which was solved by removing BBM. The second is more frustrating. Since the upgrade, my cursor seems to jump out of my text message or email very easily while typing. I also notice that when selecting apps it seems that my trackpad jumps around quite easily. They both seem to be exaggerated when outside or sitting near a light or window. It almost acts like the trackpad is effected by light and is causing the cursor to be moved out of my message or around my screen since I've updated software versions. I have tried several battery pulls without success and while I enjoy the new features of OS 6, I don't enjoy the hassles. I feel like the only way to solve the issue is to go back to OS 5 untl there are some patches to fix some of these bugs.
I have a Bell BB Bold 9900. I keep getting a sim error. I have been through 2 wipes and 3 new sim cards in a month. This 9900 was sent to me 6 mnths ago from tech support as a replacement of a 9900 where the keyboard failed .My new BB worked fine for about 4 months. 2 months ago the I started getting a red "SOS" and sim card error. After several calls to Bell tech support and eventually to RIM tech support, I may be ready to give up. One thing to note I just figured out why i get the sim error. My phone keeps jumping ot the Telus network, Bell switched the newtowrk settings to manual but it keeps jumping.
Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
