Galaxy S6 :: Inaccurate Time Display On Home Screen Widgets
Oct 17, 2015
Lately I've been noticing that the displayed time on my home screen widget is inaccurate. A simple tap on the widget seems to rectify things but it's weird. I'm using Transparent Weather Clock but I also noticed the same thing using the 3D Flip Clock widget.
Interestingly, my wife is using the Note 2 and she's having the same problem.
As this is happening with multiple widgets on multiple phones I feel safe in assuming that it's not related to the devices themselves or the widgets per se.
How can I get the home page on my 9800 to display the time in the current time zone rather than my home time zone?I have updated the Auto Update Time Zone to on, but still no luck?
T-Mobile forced an updated to my Samsung 5 Android last evening. Now the Contact shortcuts created by the Widgets have disappeared from my home screen. I created them again they sat there for a few hours and then disappeared, now I'm creating them for the third time.
A new problem has developed with my phone. It's hard to describe but it looks as if there is fluid under the screen (I don't have a screen protector btw). You can push the bubble of fluid (if that's what it is) around with your finger and see it move under the screen. Most unsettling. I'm at a complete loss to know what to do. MY PHONE AT NO TIME HAS GOT WET OR EVEN SPLASHED - I'VE KEPT IT COMPLETELY DRY. I HAVEN'T EVEN HANDLED IT WITH WET HANDS.
The problem is only visible on the home screen and it's not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way. However, it's a bad problem because now I've lost all security on my phone - it doesn't ask for a fingerprint swipe any more so anyone can immediately gain access to my phone merely by touching the bubble.
Interestingly, the problem disappears completely if I run the Samsung Galaxy S6 4G in Safe Mode.
Did my software update the other day and apart from noticing the battery tends to run out quicker than previously, I have a new issue.
Put my phone onto charge last night with phone turned off. Don't normally do that but kept getting FB notifications. Turned phone on this morning and noticed several widgets missing from my home screen. There are gaps where widgets were but now they are missing. They are still on the phone as they're visible on the other screen where all my apps are.
According to Nokia's user guide for the C6-01, I should be able to press and hold on the home screen for the Add shortcut option to appear. It doesn't. Instead I am given the option to only add widgets. Can some please tell me how I can add apps to the home screen, or at least transfer them from another screen
I recently had my arm twisted by my carrier to switch to a capped plan after years of pre-paid. With the deal came a lovely little QUENCH with MOTOBLUR MB501. I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. As yet I have not been able to work out how to do so.
Just updated to Belle this morning & having a problem installing widgets/shortcuts to the home-screen. It worked at 1st but now it stalls & the little circle just keeps spinning forever & does not do anything.
Anyone notice that when using Factory widgets for the time and weather that the time doesn't update? It work fine before GB. I uninstalled it and then tried the moto and Verizon widgets the work fine.
I read several places in connection with the new 2.3.5 update it will be possible to separate screen time-out time from screen lock time. So that you screen would go dark after fx. 15 seconds and lock after 60 seconds
I updated to the 2.3.4 KG6 firmware and rooted with Chainfires kernel. I have now resolved an initial problem I had with magnetometer using GPS Status. But the GPS is still about 50m off at times and jumps about, a few hundred metres (sometimes it says I'm in the middle of the Mersey River, ha ha). I have Fasterfix installed but it's not making a difference and GPS Aids v3 doesn't work.
Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.
I've recently done a factory reset & software reinstallation (which seems to have improved the erratic autorotate behaviour). However, my gmail emails no longer appear on the home screen (although they are syncing as I can access them in the Email app.).I've searched through various settings but can't get them to appear.
I have a 8520 and would like to know how to change my home screen display so that emails, and SMS messages are in a list on my home screen, is this possible? If so how do you change it?
how can I do this thing on my iphone4? I just saw her lock screen looked like this. When someone texted him the name and message pops up along with the time and the senders picture on the side.
The display bar at the bottom of the home screen (housing the app, phone and personalize keys) has changed from that cool curve to an ugly block and I can't work out how to change it back.
I bought an N8 shorty after it was released. Slowly over the past three or four months, the touch screen detection has been slowly becoming inaccurate. The phone detects that I am pressing slightly above where I am actually pressing. Is there any solution to this problem?
Does anybody know if it is possible to display the time / clock and date on my phone's screen when the phone is on but in "standby mode" (black screen)? I can't find a setting anywhere on the menu to activate this.
I know this has probably been asked before but for the life of me I have never seen a satisfactory answer. The company has recently presented us with Nokia E71 phones. How do you display your own number on your phone. Not how do you find it but display it on the screen so that it is always there.I have seen ideas like create a new profile and call it your number...or place it in contacts either as first number or own number. It would be nice to have it permanently displayed on the home screen or a one touch key that popped it onto the screen when required.God knows the number of time I've been asked my mobile (and there is a couple of them) and can't remember it.
So you need to fish the phone out unlock and trawl around looking for it.Ideal solution would be pop phone out press one key and number is present.Even if there is a piece of software which will allow this or creation of a screensaver with the number on it would be preferable to fishing around looking for the number.I mean with all the technology available to us in mobile phones today you think there would be a simple option to display own number.
