I bought an N8 shorty after it was released. Slowly over the past three or four months, the touch screen detection has been slowly becoming inaccurate. The phone detects that I am pressing slightly above where I am actually pressing. Is there any solution to this problem?
View 2 RepliesMy 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

I was thrille dto hear that Nokia do updates which can also enhance this phone's cameras which is really cool. My question is if Nokia could make an update that gives the phone Face Detection, Smile Detection, and all those other modern camera features? It seems unlikely to me but I was just wondering if they could do this, and if they, can they do it soon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile updating to belle somebody tried calling me and phone seemed to crash at this point as the call carried on ringing for over a minute and I couldn't answer it. Had to restart phone and it went through the initialization and belle was installed..But now the whole phone runs so slowly - often takes 10-20 seconds to unlock the phone w slider, send or open a SMS message etc..Was working fine on anna yesterday. I've tried restarting it a few times but problem persists.On another note I tried deleting the 4000 old SMS messages that are over a month old from Nokia Suite, then syncing messages but it doesn't remove them from the phone.

View 6 Replies View Relatedwhile on holiday in Asia I put my phone to water tight plastic bag after 5 minutes when I managed to get of the boat to the shore and taken the phone of the bag the touch screen stoped working, all other keys are working perfect could still take pictures press the Menu button, power botton, volume buttons but noting happens when trying to touch the screen.
I have done format (3 fingers) but still the same touch screen not working.

My N97 touchscreen sometimes freezes when I get a call. I try to unlock the phone by using the keyguard key [coz the screen is frozen] but nothing happens. I also try the call buttons and they also don't respond.
And could Nokia, please, change the setting on the display light after a call in the next update. The screen goes dark after the call that you cannot see the call duration at the end of the call. Its highly annoying!!! [At least to me since I have to monitor my calls since I roam alot]I do have the latest version of the Nokia Software installed on the N97 and everything else is working fine.
my nokia n97 mini has just started vibrating every time i touch the screen, and it's driving me crazy!. I've checked that the touch screen vibration setting is off, and it is, and have tried turning it on and off again, and turning the phone off and on again. I've had the phone for a year and this problem has just begun in the last few days.

1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone. The new version is **bleep**. Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen. This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.
I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it. can I revert back to V31?
I have an N97 and every day now the screen will stop responding to touch input. I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?

View 11 Replies View RelatedLately I've been noticing that the displayed time on my home screen widget is inaccurate. A simple tap on the widget seems to rectify things but it's weird. I'm using Transparent Weather Clock but I also noticed the same thing using the 3D Flip Clock widget.
Interestingly, my wife is using the Note 2 and she's having the same problem.
As this is happening with multiple widgets on multiple phones I feel safe in assuming that it's not related to the devices themselves or the widgets per se.
I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
Just factory reset my phone to fix an issue with encryption and for some reason I have no option for OK Google detection from any screen. Option just isn't there. I've disabled a voice but no luck.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSometimes during general use my G3's screen will flicker and then slowly fade to black. To get it back I have to lock the phone and then I'm able to use the knock code to wake it up again and then screen looks fine, but will often repeat this behaviour soon afterwards. It sort of looks like the backlight is turning off, leaving only the dark parts of the image visible.
I'm 4 days out of warranty so can't send back to lg for a fix. The phone is not water damaged and is in pretty good condition other than a few bangs and scratches to the corners. The screen itself isn't cracked or anything. Iv also tried a factory reset which hasn't worked?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Sony Xperia Z3 two weeks ago and there are several problems that I'm noticing.
1. It charges extremely slow. I have tried different outlets and chargers to see if it can work but it doesn't and it take more than 3 hours to charge to its full capacity. How do I fix this?
2. While the camera is great, the image quality is not the best considering that it has a high mp I would expect more because I have seen images online where the quality is beautiful but when I look at my phone it's not like that.
Furthermore the front cam always has a lot of background noise which makes the images really bad. How do I fix these 2 problems?
3. Whenever I call someone and want to put them on speaker or I want to hangup it takes forever for the screen to light up. I even press the power button to see if it works but it doesn't.
A couple of days ago I had to a hard reset (all 3 stages) and since then the PC won't recognise my 5800 as a phone (in media transfer mode)..........BUT it now recognises the memory card as a proper computer drive (drive D, a second HDD which is now corrupted) if put into 'mass storage' mode!! It now appears on the Windows device driver as a 'portable device' and not under 'USB connections' as before.I've done a System restore on the PC to back before the phone reset with no success.And the phone behaves perfectly in all respects.The problem with the 5800 not being detected as a phone is that the C drive does not appear and so is not accessible.

Can I download the files with my download manager and then copy it to the phone, or install in the phone with Ovi? If the answer is no, why? Can you imagine another way to download the new maps?

It is getting quite annoying. I have set the 'Show WLAN availabiliy' to Never in the WLAN settings but it still appears every now and then, probably when a network is nearby Im guessing.
