I got an LG4 yesterday and while messing around with it edited a few photos with no issues. Today I updated the google photos app to ensure that my photos were being backed up and now the photo editing options have changed and they will no longer save. When i click the pen icon to edit it has different editing options and every time I try to save a picture it says "unable to save."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using my Xperia Z2 for months now with a couple of options of how to edit apps. Every time I took a picture, then pressed the small preview pic, it prompts you to choose an app to open it in. Up until last weekend I could open my pictures in a free, pre-installed app (I believe just called photo editor) which allowed me to add things like a HDR Scape to the photo and adjust brightness, saturation etc by scrolling up or down on the screen. That has been completely removed and the editing apps I have now aren't anything near as good as what I was using.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated the Google Photo app last night as it has been pushing me to update and wouldn't work until I did. After the update, all of the previous photo edition options are gone (i.e. HDR, Dramatic, B&W, all of the vintage and frames, etc.) The only options available now are Auto, Light, Color, Pop and Vignette under settings and then when you pick the landscape picture icon, you have things like Mars, Phobos, Saturn, Ariel, Venus and Pluto. They just change the color of the pictures, don't add any effects.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowing the L update I found I couldn't edit photos normally in Photos....just got 'Downloading resources etc' message. Eventually found a fix....turned off mobile data, turned on wifi, tried to edit a photo, got the message, clicked OK, and the editing tools downloaded. Photo editing now back to what it was before the update.

I tried it with ACDsee Photo Manager and Adobe Photoshop too, but it always failed, and an error message comes out everytime 'Can't write output file'. I have the right Security settings in the Lumia 900 Photos Folder Properties, but it seems like the Lumia 900 have a special file security system, and I don't have permission to modify my own photos.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy s5 with 5.0. I recently had to do a factory reset. Now when I long press a photo from the net the photos do not show up in my gallery. They can be found in the file manager but not in the gallery. Prior to the factory reset it saved directly to the gallery. Photos taken with the camera appear in the gallery but they are the only ones that are displayed in the gallery. What am I missing?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen viewing a photo over around 950 KB in my applications, the iphone will attempt to open it, and then close. This means I can't "save" the photo, can't view the photo, and all I can see is the thumbnail. So my solution was to directly export the photo through the e-mail feature built into the app. It worked for the first photo I downloaded to my iphone, and I managed to successfully send the photo to me through e-mail. I can't view it on my iphone, but since I downloaded it, it was on my iphone so I could send it.
I downloaded more photos (they sent multiples), and the file size is now over 10 MB total and I can no longer e-mail the attachments to myself. The photos have to be somewhere on my iphone, but I don't know where. I don't want to view them on my iphone, I simply want to transfer them to my computer. I'm using an iPhone 3g and I have no idea where to access these photos, or where they're saved at in my iPhone.

If I take a picture, let the LG Camera app click (and sort of flash the screen), then immediately hit the Back button to exit the Camera app, the picture does not actually save.
I noticed this the other day, and just tried reproducing it. Take a picture, letting the camera click and actually take the picture. But before the Gallery thumbnail in the bottom-right corner of the Camera app has a chance to update, immediately hit the Back button to exit. Then go to the Gallery and see if the picture is there.
On my phone, it's as though I never took the picture at all. I have Verizon, on software 611A, and I am saving to the 32GB SD card from the LG promo.
I have lost at least 1 picture already from this. It would seem to me that if the camera clicks, then the picture should officially have been taken, and the app should definitely save it before exiting, even if it has to finish the process in the background.
If you take a picture on a normal digital camera, then immediately hit the power button, the camera will likely give a message like "Camera is busy", or something similar, preventing it from shutting down until it's finished.
i have noticed that, when im taking a Photo with SmartCam, and later im going to save my edited Photo. I can only save one edited Photo from the original file. How can i save 2 different edited Photos? When i go back and i want to edit/save another Photo from the original file, it always overwrites the last saved/edited Photo.
When i take a Photo and i edit it, for example i zoom into a area, and save that zoomed part, it always replace the last edited Photo from the original file.
My provider (MTS) has the mobile hotspot blocked i recently went form Samsung to LG and with Samsung it was easy to change the apn to make the hotspot work and with the LG i can only make a new one.??

So I accidentally saved it to the phone and not Google. So now I cant figure out how to go back and save it into Google once it is saved into the phone. I can just delete the contact and resave it but I would like to know if there is a better way to do it that I am just not seeing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded two game apps (monster squad and i can't remember the other one now) and they were both saving a buttload of images to my gallery. These images were included in the app size or if they're duplicates or what I just don't want to be able to see them and I don't want them being downloaded (if they are) after app installation and using more data and space. In the photos app they were all just sitting there below all the photos I've taken and in the Gallery app they were all divided into one pic per album spanning back to almost a year before I actually owned this phone.
I've gone through settings all morning trying to find something relevant and I uninstalled both apps but the images remained. I had to use my computer to delete them all quickly otherwise it would have taken AGES to tick them all and delete via phone.
Since I bought the phone I have had power saving mode enabled. When it comes to paying games like need for speed, what am I missing out on with power saving mode enabled? It seems to be running fine with it enabled.
