HTC One M8 :: Saving Contact To Google Once Saved Into Phone
Oct 2, 2014
I have an M8 and I when I save a contact it automatically gives me the option to save it to phone. I have to select the option to backup into Google. So I accidentally saved it to the phone and not Google. So now I cant figure out how to go back and save it into Google once it is saved into the phone. I can just delete the contact and resave it but I would like to know if there is a better way to do it that I am just not seeing?
As I am having to again restore my contacts to my latest replacement phone, I am reminded that neither VZ back up nor Corporate Sync restore all of the photos associated with the contacts.Google associated contacts seem to, but there doesn't appear to be a way to change where individual contacts are saved after they are created.I tried exporting my contacts to the SD card last time, but this also didn't include all of the photos.
When I get a message from my friend, her contact name does not show up the way I saved her and I am wondering if someone has hacked my phone or something
When receiving a new call from a new number (with caller ID, this number is not in my contact list), I can see both the name and number displayed, if i go to Add to Contacts, only the number gets copied over, and i have to manually type in this name (came displayed thru caller ID), is there any ways to get this default name copied over every time when I add a person so I don't have to type it in? A side question, numbers broken down to ### ### #### with spaces that are saved in contacts still will work with calls, but when receiving text messages my phone wont recognize it was already in my contacts(as in, it will show the text is from a number instead of the name I saved in my contact list). because text message numbers come with +1######### format.
Recently purchased a sesnation xe. This is probably a bit of a basic question but I couldn't find an answer after searching. Is there a way to save a contact number from an sms from a previously unknown contact directly without having to cut and paste
I've been having trouble with my phone. I just got my Bold 9700 two days ago, and I've decided to tweak it a little. Once I connected my phone into my computer via. USB, two autoplay windows (as usual) popped up, one for my SD Card, and one for my Device itself, then Blackberry Desktop Manager popped up, then it froze. I force quit it and closed the program, then upon removing my phone (by ripping it out aside from Safely Removing it) from the USB then connecting it again, my Device Storage did not autoplay, and it did not show up as a device when I opened "My Computer", but my SD Card Storage shows up. I'm using OS 6 (6.0.0.723, Platform 6.6.0.248). I've tried the calfix thing, but I don't think it applies to my phone, as it's PID_8004.
I transfer my saved messages from onyx to new torch, everything goes well but when i check my saved messages, on the list it say the correct display name ( sender ) but if I open the messages i will display wrong name ( wrong sender name ), anyone have the same problem with this bug (?) I transfer my saved messages from onyx to new torch, everything goes well but when i check my saved messages, on the list it say the correct display name ( sender ) but if I open the messages i will display wrong name ( wrong sender name )
when i save a contact (mobile number), then later on or a few hours later, i cannot find that contact saved in my address book. this has hapenned multiple times to me.
I was wondering if there is a way on the 9630 to make one phone number of multiple numbers under one contact be the priority?A lot of times I type in the first couple of letters to get the contact and hit send to call them and then I get asked always what number to call on that contact. Starting to get a little old.I would like to make the personal mobile number the priority instead of being asked all the time or at least put in on the top of the list.I also notice on the 8530 for text messaging they have different colored backgrounds for the incoming and outgoing texts. Is there a option on our phones so they can do that too?
A friend emailed me a couple of pdfs by attachment. I downloaded them and saved them, and opened them with Quickoffice. However, I cannot find them. They are not in the downloads folder, and when I open Quickoffice they do not appear in the Recent Files. The only way to find them is to go back to the original email. Where would they be stored? (One reason that I'd like to know is so that I can delete them: at the moment the only way seems to be to delete the email, which I don't want to do).
I really need my Google Now functions and reminders as they save me a lot of problems in my life. Constantly I have the problem that Device cannot reach Google and reminders cannot be saved! It doesn't matter if I am on Wifi or data.
When I click a phone number from the gmail App, a pop up occurs asking me to select a dialer. I pick a dialer and select always. Next time when I again click on a phone number in gmail App it shows the popup with different dialer options again. For some reason it's not saving the application defaults.
After updating to Android L, I noticed I could not switch my location setting to Battery Saving. I was wondering if this is a bug with L or if I'm doing something wrong...
Running v 5.0 in my s.5. Android stopped saving my open tabs so when I open Chrome, I get the google home page instead of my last open tabs. I have a lower android version in my tablet and it still holds my last pages so I suspect this is an upgrade "improvement". The tabs do remain in my history but that means going to my history and opening from there. I wonder is there any way around this - I use specific pages every time I open and this is adding unnecessary steps.
I love my Nexus 5. It's blazing fast and does everything I need but I have one small problem with it. In the latest update (4.4.4) Google updated the Dialer App. The UI is amazing but there's a thing about the app that annoys me a lot.
I have set 5 of my closest friends which I call a lot on Speed Dial/Favourites.
However, every time I call anyone else in my contacts they automatically get added to the same Speed Dial menu and I have to manually clear those by clicking "clear frequents" or removing them one by one. Is there a way to disable this annoying feature?
I know it allows you to share your pkgbackup. do you just mms your pkgbackup contact to someone, then they save it, open pkgbackup and restore, then they have all of your cydia apps that i installed?
i would like my wife to have all the ones i have, this would make it easy if it works, instead of having to d/l each one individually.
Basically none of my contacts are showing up on my contact list, they seemed to have all been deleted! Also I am not using any filters. As well as this, all my text messages have no contact names assigned to them, just their number. However in my call log, my contacts names come up... And when I click on view contact through the call log, the contact's details all come up!!! For example, one of my contacts, John, is saved on my call log and when I click on view contact through the call log, his address and number comes up, so it is saved. However when he calls, his name doesnt come up...
So I'm assuming my contacts are saved on my phone somewhere, but they dont seem to come up on my contact list or text messages!! I recently added my gmail account to my Blackberry... does this have anything to do with my problem?
I saw a photo in my phone's gallery but i didn't recognize the person on it. I don't know where it came from and how it was sync to my phone. I can see the path of the photo but it doest tell me what app it came from. how to trace it? I have the photo and details available.
I am new to this whole Blackberry thing, so please... take it easy on me.Anyway, whenever I add a new contact from a phone call or whatever it, by default, goes under as their "Work" number. Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)? Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? Lately I've been just going into the contact and retyping it, but doing that for all of my contacts will be a pain.
