View 4 Replies View RelatedI sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
I am using E71, which firmware version is 410.21.010. I have a contact which has 2 number (mobile and Telephone) and i have set mobile as default. When i make call from the contacts applicaition it is calling to mobile without showing the number list. But if i call from the homescreen by typing the name, it is showing the number list. I also created new contacts with more than a number and tried, it's not working... And when it shows the number list in the homescreen, pressing the call end button doesn't cancel showing the number list. I have to press the cancel button to cancel the list showing...

Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!

When receiving a new call from a new number (with caller ID, this number is not in my contact list), I can see both the name and number displayed, if i go to Add to Contacts, only the number gets copied over, and i have to manually type in this name (came displayed thru caller ID), is there any ways to get this default name copied over every time when I add a person so I don't have to type it in? A side question, numbers broken down to ### ### #### with spaces that are saved in contacts still will work with calls, but when receiving text messages my phone wont recognize it was already in my contacts(as in, it will show the text is from a number instead of the name I saved in my contact list). because text message numbers come with +1######### format.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI broke the screen of my 6280 so used a different phone for a while and now that I've repaired it and put the sim card back in the phone displays the number rather than the name in the text inbox. When I try to add the number to the contact it says it's in use for the contact bla bla. The numbers get displayed in the +44 format and are saved in the domestion 07xx format but I can't overwrite it because it then recognises the number.

So I accidentally saved it to the phone and not Google. So now I cant figure out how to go back and save it into Google once it is saved into the phone. I can just delete the contact and resave it but I would like to know if there is a better way to do it that I am just not seeing?

I was wondering if there is a way on the 9630 to make one phone number of multiple numbers under one contact be the priority?A lot of times I type in the first couple of letters to get the contact and hit send to call them and then I get asked always what number to call on that contact. Starting to get a little old.I would like to make the personal mobile number the priority instead of being asked all the time or at least put in on the top of the list.I also notice on the 8530 for text messaging they have different colored backgrounds for the incoming and outgoing texts. Is there a option on our phones so they can do that too?

Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)?Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? The phone works great except for the fact that I now have an issue with a high pitched sound coming out the 3.5mm headphone jack which is connected through my car audio system, when i try to make a phonecall. My music plays fine through the same setup so not sure what is causing the high pitched noise when i try to make a phonecall.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the phone for about three weeks now. I am past the 14 day remorse period and I didn't start having problems till after this period... Sometimes the phone will just reset bact to the white HTC screen then return to the home page after a few seconds, it sometimes asks to send the error report and sometimes it doesn't. It only did this once or twice out of the blue but now I am noticing it is doing it more often now. The phone has now also started to reboot back to the white HTC screen then show the t-mobile red letters screen then start up. One time it was completely off even though it had battery power and I had to turn it back on. Just last night I was in the middle of a phone call when the phone just dropped the call then rebooted to the white HTC screen then said it recovered from a fatal error or whatever the message says and asked me to report it.
