I have a Galaxy s5 with 5.0. I recently had to do a factory reset. Now when I long press a photo from the net the photos do not show up in my gallery. They can be found in the file manager but not in the gallery. Prior to the factory reset it saved directly to the gallery. Photos taken with the camera appear in the gallery but they are the only ones that are displayed in the gallery. What am I missing?
Well just that, I recently saw that the camera is saving my GPS location with every picture. How can I stop it from doing it? On older phones this was really easy but I can't find how to disable that on the g4.
I remember that in symbian 1 was possible to select saving location for messages (Phone memory, mass memory) But where is this option in Symbian Anna? Now messages consumes over 5MB from phone memory. I just would like to move them to mass memory.
After updating to Android L, I noticed I could not switch my location setting to Battery Saving. I was wondering if this is a bug with L or if I'm doing something wrong...
I got an LG4 yesterday and while messing around with it edited a few photos with no issues. Today I updated the google photos app to ensure that my photos were being backed up and now the photo editing options have changed and they will no longer save. When i click the pen icon to edit it has different editing options and every time I try to save a picture it says "unable to save."
HTC one on android 4.3. On certain apps when you attach or want to send a picture it asks where to look for the picture, eg onedrive, gallery etc. I selected onedrive and accidentally then said "always" rather than just once. How to change this? I've looked everywhere.
Whenever someone sends me a photo via text messaging, the only option I get is to use it as a contact or screen saver but not to actually save it as a pic anywhere! How do i do it? I know I used to have that option as Ive got saved photos on jy phone sent via that method before.
When viewing a photo over around 950 KB in my applications, the iphone will attempt to open it, and then close. This means I can't "save" the photo, can't view the photo, and all I can see is the thumbnail. So my solution was to directly export the photo through the e-mail feature built into the app. It worked for the first photo I downloaded to my iphone, and I managed to successfully send the photo to me through e-mail. I can't view it on my iphone, but since I downloaded it, it was on my iphone so I could send it.
I downloaded more photos (they sent multiples), and the file size is now over 10 MB total and I can no longer e-mail the attachments to myself. The photos have to be somewhere on my iphone, but I don't know where. I don't want to view them on my iphone, I simply want to transfer them to my computer. I'm using an iPhone 3g and I have no idea where to access these photos, or where they're saved at in my iPhone.
I'm new here from iPhone land, enjoying the 64GB Turbo. How can I map the location a photo was taken? And yes, assuming location is turned on when the pic was taken. I'm just using photo gallery right now, I'd rather not use Picasa.
If I take a picture, let the LG Camera app click (and sort of flash the screen), then immediately hit the Back button to exit the Camera app, the picture does not actually save.
I noticed this the other day, and just tried reproducing it. Take a picture, letting the camera click and actually take the picture. But before the Gallery thumbnail in the bottom-right corner of the Camera app has a chance to update, immediately hit the Back button to exit. Then go to the Gallery and see if the picture is there.
On my phone, it's as though I never took the picture at all. I have Verizon, on software 611A, and I am saving to the 32GB SD card from the LG promo.
I have lost at least 1 picture already from this. It would seem to me that if the camera clicks, then the picture should officially have been taken, and the app should definitely save it before exiting, even if it has to finish the process in the background.
If you take a picture on a normal digital camera, then immediately hit the power button, the camera will likely give a message like "Camera is busy", or something similar, preventing it from shutting down until it's finished.
i have noticed that, when im taking a Photo with SmartCam, and later im going to save my edited Photo. I can only save one edited Photo from the original file. How can i save 2 different edited Photos? When i go back and i want to edit/save another Photo from the original file, it always overwrites the last saved/edited Photo.
When i take a Photo and i edit it, for example i zoom into a area, and save that zoomed part, it always replace the last edited Photo from the original file.
I just got the S6 last week, and I've been using Firefox on it because I'm more familiar with the tabbing system it uses after using iPhones for 8 years. But when I try to save an image by long holding and clicking save image it just vanishes. I checked the gallery, Google photos, even went into My Files and checked images and downloads and checked Firefoxes downloads but it's as if it didn't save at all. So I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or where these images could possibly be going.
I am having a issue with my S6 Edge. Tried to look for a solution but came out empty. When I receive an MMS and save the image, my samsung always names the file imagejpeg_2.jpg. Because of this I have to rename every single picture a receive as an MMS otherwise it will overwrite the picture. Is there any way I can set this option to use sequential numbers like on my other phones?
When I try and save pictures from my email, they don't save and the app force closes. Any size picture, from any recipient.I'm using the default mail app, and my email is a pop email.I've tried clearing the cache of the app; but to no avail.
I already have my phone set up to save the pictures I take to the SD card automatically, but is there a way to make it save pictures I download/save like from facebook or something to my SD card?
Camera Zoom FX (the paid version) is considered by many to be the best camera app for Android. However it still does not allow the Lollipop user to save the images to the SD card. Other camera apps easily allow to do so but Camera Zoom is still operating in the KitKat days. Whenever I try to set the save location it seems to think my phone still has KitKat and will not allow it to save to my SD card. Other camera apps do let me save to the SD card.
I ve official rom installed on my S6. I just rooted it. Yesterday after my s6 battery was empty I put it on charger and try to turn on but stuck in bootloop. Every time device shows s6 logo and after that splash screen and keeps rebooting and dont want to boot up. I ve tried randomly wiping cache rebooting. turning on of. and nothing. I do not want to do wipe data/factory reset because i do not have backup of data and do not want to lose it.
I have a notification always present that says, *Location is set by GPS*. I know that. How do I get rid of the notification? The notification (long press) is from Android UI.
I recorded by son's school concert with my Stock verizon S6 edge video camera. and realized that i could zoom in on the video to make my son look closer. My question is , is there any way to save the zoomed in video. I want to share it but i would rather have the video i share to by close ups on my son..
I want to stop my whatsapp from saving sent pictures to my gallery, I have searched Google and have followed the instructions settings>chat settings>media auto download and I've stopped all the options (wifi, data) but they still save in the gallery once I accept the media to be downloaded ...
Every time I save a bookmark, there is a system message that says:
Webpage added to Bookmarks > [My Phone]
Then when I click the Bookmarks icon at bottom of page, the Bookmarks screen comes up under Bookmarks > Samsung account and there are no bookmarks listed.
Where can I find Bookmarks > [My Phone] or how do I create bookmarks to Bookmarks > Samsung account?
Just made the jump from my trusty S3 to an S6! I usually try to conserve the battery life of my devices, so I'm used to keeping power saving mode on pretty much always. Since I know it's always enabled, I want to get rid of the notification in the drop down menu that's just stating the obvious: "Power saving mode enabled."
I've tried long pressing on the notification (leads to a system app called "Settings Reveiver") and looking for the Power Saving system app settings manually (only found one called "Power Sharing"), but every viable option seems to have the "Show Notifications" option enabled and grayed out so I can't change it. Is there any way to get rid of the annoying notification?
Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?
I turned the Ultra Power Saving Mode and after sending a few text messages locking and unlocking the phone it froze for a moment so I restarted the phone. Now It shows me the normal home screen and I can access my apps page but everything is turned off and I cannot turn Ultra Saving Mode off. I tried manually turning it off, restarting it, taking the battery off and putting it back on.
I also performed the soft reset using the Volume Up/Power/Home method and when I click to clear the partition it gives me an error.
Is there a way to save a video that you received by email and store it in my video folder so I can run the video without having to open the email that it arrived in?
For some unknown reason my camera, normal one, not a new app, won't save pictures or videos and, once taken, the gallery comes up with like a black box where the photo should be with a symbol in it .....
