I remember that in symbian 1 was possible to select saving location for messages (Phone memory, mass memory) But where is this option in Symbian Anna? Now messages consumes over 5MB from phone memory. I just would like to move them to mass memory.

When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHave had this phone for a couple of years - i haven't done anything recently that i think may cause this problem.Today a message comes up every few seconds asking me to select an accessory (headset/headphones/lineout/music stand) - it thinks i have something plugged into the audio socket. I do not! I have not used the audio jack for at least a year!I have rebooted it & taken the battery out. I've also reset to factory settings & reinstalled the software, but still i have this problem.In this state, the phone is not usable since this message constantly gets in the way.Earlier on today the problem was different, a symbol came up at top right meant a headset was connected (when the truth is it wasn't). This meant i couldn't use the phone to call people as we couldn't hear each other. After this, i changed some bits in the accessory settings & now i have the problem i described at the start of this message.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am getting a "Select connection" prompt quite frequently (atleast once a minute) on my 5800. This has started happening in the last week or so. Yes - I have searched the forums and googled. I have not altered my network drive settings (solution in one thread) and the internet connection test is set to "Never run" in the Wireless LAN settings.
I do sync my GMail account - and I do not want to disable automatic sync. Everything was working fine until last week. I think once we set a destination (Internet) for the email sync then it should not keep prompting again and again to select connection.
I can't get my N9 off power saving mode? Also when i try to forward mail says check connection setting?

It brings up a list of 10 places that are not near at all to where I live or where I want to check in from ... Is this a bug? All other applications can find my location including Nokia maps, fascinate, foursquare etc but I like to use the Nokia one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy s5 with 5.0. I recently had to do a factory reset. Now when I long press a photo from the net the photos do not show up in my gallery. They can be found in the file manager but not in the gallery. Prior to the factory reset it saved directly to the gallery. Photos taken with the camera appear in the gallery but they are the only ones that are displayed in the gallery. What am I missing?

Well just that, I recently saw that the camera is saving my GPS location with every picture. How can I stop it from doing it? On older phones this was really easy but I can't find how to disable that on the g4.

I have several videos and pictures i want to put on to my computer off my phone and vice versa but when i plug my phone in and it pops up open folder to view files i cant find them in mass, phone or memory card memories, when i go on the phone in files there not in there either btu there in the gallery if i open it up for detailes it has the date for the name, description and if i click on location it just says unavailble.

When the browser is used, it prompts for the username and password and then works. However other applications cannot connect to this network as they seemingly lack this feature and the phone does not make this globally available.Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) 6.3 seems to allow placement of username and password values. When configuration is transferred back to phone, NCT shows successfully configured, but this does not seem to be the case when the settings are used by the phone.

I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode.This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
