Nokia PC/Mac Software :: PC Suite Not Saving Sent Messages?
Jan 8, 2010
I use Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 with my Nokia 6233. Messages I send from the phone gets saved on PC Suite under sent items, but messages I send via PC Suite does not get saved there. Is this a software glitch or is there a setting I need to change somewhere?
I recently got a C1-01 and am happy with it as a back-up phone. The only thing is that it automatically saves all my sent text messages which I dislike.I have searched through all the options and settings menus and cannot find any way of disabling this function.Either I'm missing something (but this is my 6th Nokia phone, so I don't think I am) or there is genuinely no way of switching this off, on this phone?I've read online that some people apparently cannot find a way of switching this function ON, on their C1-01s, so is it something that operators install or uninstall on their handsets?
I remember that in symbian 1 was possible to select saving location for messages (Phone memory, mass memory) But where is this option in Symbian Anna? Now messages consumes over 5MB from phone memory. I just would like to move them to mass memory.
I want to back up all the SMS messages i have synced in Ovi Suite to a second location in case something happens, but I have no idea where they are stored, could anyone shed some light?
I am using Windows Vista, and am using Suite version 7.1.40.1 and connect my phone (a Nokia 6600 Slide) with a USB cable. The problem I'm having is that when I view my messages on my computer, it doesn't recognise a majority of the messages from my favourite contact, whether the messages are in a folder in the "saved items" section, or in the inbox itself. It's very frustrating because I want to save the messages onto my computer, but I can't save them if the PC Suite isn't recognising them. How can I make it recognise the messages it seems to be missing out?
Using the latest Ovi suite (updated through updates, not sure v number though). I received an X6 today. Seems pretty nice so far. However, had some issues transferring text messages between phones - it broke the dates on the MMS and left me with a bit of a messy inbox on my X6. So, I synced messages using Ovi suite from my old N82, and they all copied onto my PC fine. However, if I now connect my X6 to my PC and hit sync messages, it just says 'done', and doesn't copy my messages from my PC to my X6. Is there any way to do this? I'd like to keep all my old texts from my N82 and transfer them to my X6.
I'm using Windows XP SP2 PC suite version is 7.1.40.1, English I use both data cable and bluetooth. My phone models are Nokia 2330 and Nokia 2730. My problem is that when I open the Nokia Communication centre in PC suite (messages), I see the following issues in the messages. For example, if the total number of messages in inbox is 250, in the PC suite, it is listed as a number less than 250 (e.g 242 or so). On a closer look, I discovered that a few of the messages are "mixed up" with other messages. For example, let's take the two messages: "Hello, how are you? Hope you are fine?" "Where are you, and when will you be coming?" In PC suite, the two messages sometimes are merged together as one message in a jumbled manner like this "Hello, hoWhere are you, an w are you? Hope you are fine? d when will you be coming?"However, they will be visible as "normal" in the phone inbox when I check in the phone screen. This issue happens on PC suite in both Nokia 2330 and 2730 in both inbox and sent items. I uninstalled PC suite, cleaned out my system registry and reinstalled PC suite, but the same problem occurs.Any ideas on why this issue is happening?
I am not able to copy all the inbox messages from nokia PC Suite to my nokia 808. When i am trying to copy the messages saved/synced with nokia PC Suite back to my mobile, only some messages are getting copied back to mobile and some are not getting copied.
I have a Nokia e71 and currently my screen is broken.I've since bought a new phone but would love to get all the messages I'd previously saved. My new phone can sync with the Nokia but only picked up the messages in the inbox/drafts, not the messages I had in my 'saved messages' / 'my folders' whatever its calledIf someone has access to a Nokia e71 it would be great if they would let me know (including how many clicks across, middle button etc as I will be doing this blind!) how to select all messages in my folders and copy them to the inbox.

I am using the latest PC Suite 7.1.40.1. My phone is a 7373. When I connect with PC Suite (either Bluetooth or USB able) it is *constantly* showing me less messages on my phone then I really have. E.g. I have 782 message in a folder, but it shows me only around 600. And for other folders too. A few look normal. Even breaking up folders into more doesn't help. When I look at some messages, then PC Suite seems to concatenate a lot of messages into one message. And also when backing up messages, this backup is totally garbled and useless concerning my messages. My memory is running low on the phone, so I desperately want to save/export them on a card, but this way i can never do this and messages get lost (Btw on my phone itself everything is normal.
I have a Nokia n97, and it is synced to Ovi Suite on my PC (latest version) I need to reinstall my OS (Windows 7), but I want to make sure everything is backed up first. Where does the Ovi Suite software store the Messages and Contacts and Photos/Videos on the Local Machine
how to sync all my contacts, messages and pictures from my Nokia Ovi Suite to my Blackberry curve 9300. If this isnt possible, is there a way i can export it using another format?
I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
Can i tranfer data from PC suite to OVI Suite - I need transfer all data from Nokia 6230i to new Nokia 6303 classic, or how to do it?. N 6230i is not connectable to OVI suite!
How can I make my nokia E71 sync back with PC Suite after I started using OVI Suite? I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.
I got this phone 3 months ago, and it paired with PC Suite perfectly, till few days ago, when i lost connection with it, and now PC Suite and OVI Suite can't find my phone. I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.
Have a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.
i am having major issues with my e51 and pc suite! The s.ware support 4 my phone is not loading, and when i tried the new ovi suite as an alt. the software is not compatable with my phone! How is my phone going 2 get updates if i can only update via p2 suite?
So I used to have the 8900, and whenever I had a text message, I can just highlight it and click 'save', and it would save a copy of it in a folder, which means I can delete the one I got. For some reason, with OS 5.0, I do not have that option anymore. I went to the SMS option and had it saved to an SD card, but doesn't work.
The problem I experience (BB Bold & AT&T, using on Microsoft Exchange, with Mac Snow Leopard) is that every time I save an email as draft, it appears as a new unread email on my BlackBerry. And I cannot delete them just one by one, which is kind of annoying with 20 messages...
As a business user I get a lot of voice messages and I find it odd that Orange delete them after 7 days as sometimes they contain important information which I would like to save. If you would like this feature please also send feedback on the Apple feedback site- http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
I recently purchased a BB Bold 9000 and my SMS message inbox is full already. Every time I recieve a msg it asks me to delete some msgs to create space. Is there any way I can save all my existing msgs to my device or my memory card and all the incoming ones too?
Is it possible to copy across messages from a pc back to the phone and arrange them into folders? And secondly when you take pictures does it save them to the phone memory or memory card and can you change that?
