Feb 10, 2012
Even though I have downloaded latest software 4.5 and have turned off wireless synch, I cannot get my windows 7 contacts from Windows Live to upload to my device..I have gone through all of the help topics on the desktop software to no avail?
I have a user (Older Company VIP) that will only use Blackberry 8700's A few weeks ago we gave him another 8700 because the roller on his old one had broken and now he can not open attachments. When you select the file it sends you to another screen that shows the file name Table of contents and Full contents, but when you select that you still are not allowed to open the attachment. We are using BES Version: 5.0.3.31
I have recently purchased a 2nd hand BLACKBERRY 8700, I am trying to get it setup using my O2 sim card on Pay As you Go... I need to get my BBM working, and also access the internet.I have no idea where to change my settings and how to get a web browser on the phone etc?
I just got a Blackberry 8700.I loaded my sim card that has all my contacts into it and fired up the phone.I followed the instructions to load the contacts to the address book but I cant get it to work. The instructions say to go to the address book, click the track wheel and then go to SIM phone book.Well I dont have the SIM phone book option for some reason.
I have an 8700g Blackberry phone and I mistakenly downloaded an application that is only supported by software version 4.0 or greater. ( my phone had software version 2.2? ) . I had to replace the battery today and when I put in the new battery, it tried to start up but the red light comes on and the hourglass flashes on and off but after two hours it will still not start up. What should I do?
To start I don`t have a backup and I`m stupid . In plain english I would to know how I can synchronize my Iphone with a new windows pc. Idon`t a Mac nor do I have acess to my old computer which was destroyed.
My BB Strom will not sychronize with the Desktop manager. Before I've a PC with Vista it works perfect. Now I Install Desktop manager version 5.0.1.28 on my new PC with windows 7 64-bit and it doesn't work. It looks like it synchronize but when you look in the Calander of both PC and BB nothing changend. I'll ask Vodafone in Holland for a solution. They say that it's a software problem what is not fixed for the moment. Wait for new software. I don't believe this. (Excuses for my bath English).
I have two laptops by HP with Windows 7. I am using them as development machines. On one I can connect the playbook but on the other one I cannot connect it. It always goes into driver installation mode. No matter how many times I have reinstalled the driver, it doesn't detect the playbook. WiFi connection works though. The USB connection fails.
Been using BlackBerry phones for a long time. Recently bought the priv - while it's a great phone I cannot stand android. So thinning of selling it and buying the lumia 950.
I'm wondering is there a way to transfer contents from priv to Windows phone?
I want to transfer pictures, sms and whatsapp mainly.
There are two or more phones of you and your family, blackberry, windows mobile phone, or others. While these phones support different video and audio formats, WMV, 3GP, AVI, etc. Have you ever thought that there will be a program that can help you rip Blu-ray and DVD to all the formats supported by different phones? Here it is—[LeKuSoft Blu-ray Ripper.[URL]supports the most popular video formats, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, Apple TV h.264 720P, HD WMV, MPEG-2/MPEG-4 TS HD Video, AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, MP4, H.264/AVC, RM, MOV, XviD, 3GP and FLV. You can select the format compatible with your phone.Besides, you can also extract soundtrack from Blu-ray disc to common or lossless audio like MP3, WAV, and save in your phone with[URL].When a whole movie is too big for you, you can clip segment you like best and convert it only to save your time and space of your phone. Preview, snapshot, batch conversion, and much more practical functions are provided in [URL].
I downloaded the latest OS file for my 8700, installed it on my windows 7 laptop as I cant install it on my mac. It prompted to restart after installation. After restart, I'm trying to find out from where I can launch the loader and update my 8700.
My 8700 is currently on OS 4.1 and when I connect to DM and try to update, it shows "No updates available"
i just got an LG 8700 off ebay( in quebec) to replaced my current 8700 which is breaking.Problem is a number is still associated to the new phone. Is there anyway to get this number un associated with the phone? so i can put my plan and number to the phone.
This began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.
##21# give me "Supplementary service error: Unknown error."
Any ideas about what might be wrong with my trusty 8700 and how to fix it?
I have an LG8700 shine phone and now it doesn't seem to be making any ringtone noises. I did recently clear out all the sounds/mp3s on my phone but shouldn't there be sounds/ringtones built in to the phone? When I press buttons though sounds come through the speaker so I don't believe it's a speaker problem. Also Is there a way to master reset the phone to factory settings? I'm with Telus in Canada..
I have been unable to communicate with one of my old contact since the worldwide blackberry contact a couple of weeks ago . So we decided to delete each other and add each other again. That did not work because whenever I send her invites, she never gets them . However, I get hers but when I hit accept it pushes her to 'pending' .This situation is weird and really frustrating.
I have a new PC and want to sync all my tunes, contacts, calender and notes from my iphone into the new PC.I want to synce the notes and calender with outlook and the contact with windows contacts. Do a need some software to do this?

I returned my Blackberry for repair and received a new Blackberry. However, my contact list was not moved to the new phone. At Swisscom (swiss provider) they told me to obtain this at the Desktopmanager at Blackberry's website. But now I am lost, do not know what/where to do?
My friend just got a used blackberry curve today and downloaded BBM. He's been sending me a request but I don't receive it and vice versa when I send him one. We've tried saving my pin under my contact info on his fone and vice versa on mine and still nothing.
I've got contact lists on my BB that I don't even have email addresses for., different entries for the same person, etc. (I haven't sync'd addresses in the past because a lot of contacts I didn't want on my BB anyway) ..I've got addresses in Thunderbird and addresses in Yahoo... it's ridiculously disorganized! OK, so finally, I decided to clean it all up and sync everything after corrections and deleting duplicates.
Today my entire contact list disappeared. Also, in the text messages app my recipients cellphone phone numbers are displayed but only some of the contact names are displayed.
I am trying to change existing contacts that were unknowing saved in "Unknown Contact List" to "Default Contact List" can someone please explain if/how I can do this???? I have already tried deleting my address book and restoring it but that didnt work..i need my contacts in default to make the Vlingo app to work...
I have been using Outlook 2010 for quite a while and then switched to Outlook 2011 with my former employer. The switch went very smooth and even on my BlackBerry I did not notice any difference. All contact pictures remained on the device and even when I added new ones it was synchronized to the device perfectly independently of the image size. Now I've changed jobs and with my new employer I've re-imported my contacts into Outlook 2011 again. From an Outlook 2011 perspective everything looks great, all pictures are there however they are not on my BlackBerry. Every new contact or every removed one will synchronize perfectly to my BlackBerry - only the contact pictures won't. I've tried inserting new ones, I've played around with image sizes as I've read something about certain limitations, I've spoken to the BES admin and he confirmed this feature has not been turned off on the BES.
I have lost access to couple of emails and most of my contacts in the address book is under these emails. However, I have all the contacts on my Old BB. So now I am switching to a new BB and I cannot move contacts to the new one.I have used desktop manager but the files are "read only".
