I have an LG8700 shine phone and now it doesn't seem to be making any ringtone noises. I did recently clear out all the sounds/mp3s on my phone but shouldn't there be sounds/ringtones built in to the phone? When I press buttons though sounds come through the speaker so I don't believe it's a speaker problem.Also Is there a way to master reset the phone to factory settings? I'm with Telus in Canada..
View 1 RepliesJust this morning I recieved a problem from my iPhone 4s. I was listening to Spotify and pulled up Command Center to pause the song. But before I even touched the pause button, the music just shut off immediately. I tried to play it again and it began to play but without sound. So I decided to restart my device. Although after restarting it, I noticed at my passcode lock there was no sound at all. I tried to use my sound buttons on the side of my iPhone although there were no sound bars. I then muted the iPhone with the mute button and re-muted it. Still no sound. Â
Afterwards I recieved a call and noticed my ringtone still worked. I thought the problem was solved although it turned out otherwise. I looked up some fixes for it, for example cleaning my dock connector although it still did not work. I'm not sure if I didn't clean it well enough or what (The iPhone is still able to be charged).Â

I was trying to set some ringtones on my phone at work (!) and thought using my headphones would keep the sound so only I could hear it. Nope. The sound was in the headphones AND through the speakers.

View 13 Replies View RelatedNo sounds work on my iphone except ringtones. Text tones, email, itunes, pandora, etc. does not play anything. Also, when I hit the volume buttons I get a picture of the speaker and it says "ringer" over it but there is no volume bar.I've cleaned out the headphone jack since that fixed a no-sound problem on previous iPhones but it didn't help.I've tried turning bluetooth/wifi on and off because this seemed to help for some people but the only thing that helped with is that my phone now makes the noise when you plug it in to charge but still nothing else but ringtones.

Having lots probs since updates to lollipop.. Main one for me is all sounds are working apart from ringtone . No matter who calls me no sound . No ringtone no matter what tune i chose in settings.

Sound Picker, Zedge etc.
But the last time I changed a notification sound I mistakenly hit the Always button after picking Sound Picker and now all that I can pick from is Sound Picker.
I had custom sounds for my Ringtone and Notifications and over the weekend they just disappeared. The files are still saved in the same directories, but when I go into Setting to change the sound, my custom sounds do not appear any more.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Storm had been working fine and I didn't change any settings. Suddenly even though I had the phone set to silent if a call came in the ringtone would play. This had never happened before. Now the ringtone doesn't play at all and none of the other alerts sound at all. If I try and test them they either do not play or I get an error stating it is invalid. If I get a voicemail I'll get a weird beep but that is about it.

I know how to get to the point of changing the tone: Menu > Settings > Sound but the list of available ringtones is super short considering how many I have on my SD card. There are several basic AT&T/Motorola tones and then a couple of random ones of mine, but I'm not even sure how those made the list. I set one of the tones/files on my SD card for my "default" ringtone many months ago, but it's not coming up now on the aforementioned list.
I even created a new folder on my SD card called Ringtones (because I had a bunch of random folders on there... Music, Tones, Audio, Sounds), but there is absolutely no way -- as far as I can see -- that I can use/access ANY of them for setting as a ringtone, default or otherwise. When I go into the Sound Settings, as previously mentioned, the list is not using the Ringtones folder from my SD card. Do I need to move tones from the SD card to the phone in order to use them? If so, then how or to where.
I downloaded the latest OS file for my 8700, installed it on my windows 7 laptop as I cant install it on my mac. It prompted to restart after installation. After restart, I'm trying to find out from where I can launch the loader and update my 8700.
My 8700 is currently on OS 4.1 and when I connect to DM and try to update, it shows "No updates available"
i just got an LG 8700 off ebay( in quebec) to replaced my current 8700 which is breaking.Problem is a number is still associated to the new phone. Is there anyway to get this number un associated with the phone? so i can put my plan and number to the phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.

I have a user (Older Company VIP) that will only use Blackberry 8700's A few weeks ago we gave him another 8700 because the roller on his old one had broken and now he can not open attachments. When you select the file it sends you to another screen that shows the file name Table of contents and Full contents, but when you select that you still are not allowed to open the attachment. We are using BES Version: 5.0.3.31

I am having trouble downloading the supporting device software. I keep getting an error message that reads "Error with the Application Loader. Cannot update software using this system as device is currently activated on a blackberry Enterprise Server or professional software. Contact administrator or check with service provider." View 2 Replies View Relatedfor some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! I plugged my earbuds into my s6. The external sound did not mute, and the no sound came thru the earbuds. What's up. Note: I changed out earbuds, just in case, the first pair were bad.
