Where would I put the sound files that I would want to use as ringtones? And, do they use MP3 as a file format for the ringtones? I made several ringtones on Android that I would like to use on Windows.

I did recently clear out all the sounds/mp3s on my phone but shouldn't there be sounds/ringtones built in to the phone? When I press buttons though sounds come through the speaker so I don't believe it's a speaker problem.Also Is there a way to master reset the phone to factory settings? I'm with Telus in Canada..
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust this morning I recieved a problem from my iPhone 4s. I was listening to Spotify and pulled up Command Center to pause the song. But before I even touched the pause button, the music just shut off immediately. I tried to play it again and it began to play but without sound. So I decided to restart my device. Although after restarting it, I noticed at my passcode lock there was no sound at all. I tried to use my sound buttons on the side of my iPhone although there were no sound bars. I then muted the iPhone with the mute button and re-muted it. Still no sound. Â
Afterwards I recieved a call and noticed my ringtone still worked. I thought the problem was solved although it turned out otherwise. I looked up some fixes for it, for example cleaning my dock connector although it still did not work. I'm not sure if I didn't clean it well enough or what (The iPhone is still able to be charged).Â

When I am listing to music mp3 files on shuffles every now and again I will get the mp3's that are associated with ringtones and text messages and alarms which are also mp3 and they are "talking tones", so imagine I am listening to Beyonce and the next song to play is "you have an incoming call!" - so any way to stop or hide them talking mp3 ringtones from when I just want to listen to mp3 music files?

View 23 Replies View RelatedNo sounds work on my iphone except ringtones. Text tones, email, itunes, pandora, etc. does not play anything. Also, when I hit the volume buttons I get a picture of the speaker and it says "ringer" over it but there is no volume bar.I've cleaned out the headphone jack since that fixed a no-sound problem on previous iPhones but it didn't help.I've tried turning bluetooth/wifi on and off because this seemed to help for some people but the only thing that helped with is that my phone now makes the noise when you plug it in to charge but still nothing else but ringtones.

Having lots probs since updates to lollipop.. Main one for me is all sounds are working apart from ringtone . No matter who calls me no sound . No ringtone no matter what tune i chose in settings.

Sound Picker, Zedge etc.
But the last time I changed a notification sound I mistakenly hit the Always button after picking Sound Picker and now all that I can pick from is Sound Picker.
I had custom sounds for my Ringtone and Notifications and over the weekend they just disappeared. The files are still saved in the same directories, but when I go into Setting to change the sound, my custom sounds do not appear any more.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Storm had been working fine and I didn't change any settings. Suddenly even though I had the phone set to silent if a call came in the ringtone would play. This had never happened before. Now the ringtone doesn't play at all and none of the other alerts sound at all. If I try and test them they either do not play or I get an error stating it is invalid. If I get a voicemail I'll get a weird beep but that is about it.

I know how to get to the point of changing the tone: Menu > Settings > Sound but the list of available ringtones is super short considering how many I have on my SD card. There are several basic AT&T/Motorola tones and then a couple of random ones of mine, but I'm not even sure how those made the list. I set one of the tones/files on my SD card for my "default" ringtone many months ago, but it's not coming up now on the aforementioned list.
I even created a new folder on my SD card called Ringtones (because I had a bunch of random folders on there... Music, Tones, Audio, Sounds), but there is absolutely no way -- as far as I can see -- that I can use/access ANY of them for setting as a ringtone, default or otherwise. When I go into the Sound Settings, as previously mentioned, the list is not using the Ringtones folder from my SD card. Do I need to move tones from the SD card to the phone in order to use them? If so, then how or to where.
I've had this problem for a day or so now. I connect my lumia 920 to my PC (Windows 7 ultimate x64) the phone makes a connection sound and it shows up under My Computer. However when I go to browse the files on the 920 it is just empty. Also when I try and use the WindowsPhone app it boots up on the welcome screen as if it's the first time I'm connecting it and does nothing when I press the continue button...
This hasn't always been the case as I was able to browse the files and use the WindowsPhone app for over a week without trouble previously.What I have tried so far:>Restarting my phone.>Reinstalling the WindowsPhone app.>Repairing and reinstalling .NET 4.5 and updating it.>Turning my firewall off>Connecting it to another USB port. >Connecting it to my other computer. >Hard resting my phone. (This left me stuck on the cog wheels for hours and I had to flash my phone to fix this)>And maybe more things that I can't remember at the moment.Interestingly when I had to hard reset it and wipe everything off the phone it worked fine, the app let the phone sync my music etc, I thought it had been fixed. BUT the second time I went to sync my phone the same problem happened! WindowsPhone app thinks its the first time and wont let me press continue and the device is just empty under My Computer.The phone works fine otherwise, all my music and stuff is on it from the first sync and I have 0 problems besides this!
I have copied several windows media files to my blackberry but the phone says that they are unsupported. These are my video files. Is there an application that can play windows media files on the blackberry. Or is there an application I can use to convert windows media files to the file compatible with blackberry?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, when I plug my Xoom via USB into either of my computers (Win 7 x32 or Win 7 x64) the computer recognizes the Xoom, I can see the Internal Storage and the SD Card, but when I open either of these, I see no files. THe only directory that shows up on the Internal Storage is the Android directory.

I can see the files I want using "My Files" on the phone, but when I use Windows Explorer (Win10) with the phone connected over USB, the folders are empty. I've never had trouble finding files before but I add this is the first time I'm trying with Windows 10.

As the folder name suggests, they're phone messages (I assume so anyway) ! I now want to open these messages but cant find a way to do so! I have downloaded the nokia suite 3.2.100 and tried to open them in there, but to no avail. How I could open these files on windows?!

I have accessed my files (mainly movies) from another windows computer just fine. I just got a macbook air for christmas and i tried to access my movies through zumocast on my mac but none of the files showed up. I dont want to put all the files on my new laptop because it only has a 120 SSD installed. Is it possible for me to access those files on my desktop from my mac?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded some mp4 videos and noticed something strange.1 - When I plug xoom to my Windows 7 notebook, some of these files don't show up, no matter what I do.2 - The Gallery app doesn't show them either.3 - I can play them just fine with the defaut video player if I use any file manager to see the filesIt doesn't really matter where the files are. The videos that do show up can be in any folder and they both show up in gallery and on windows.

After a few updates it seems as though the videoformat has changed, because I can't import them in any software on my computer. Windows Media Player won't play them, Sony Vegas editing software won't accept it, Avidemux won't convert it. When I open the folders with videofiles from the Z3, no image of them can be displayed. It suddenly seems completely incompatibable with anything on Windows. How do I get to use the stills and video shot with my Z3 again?
