I want to transfer some videos and photos from my Xoom to my computer (which has Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11). My understanding is that this combination only allows a transfer FROM the computer TO the tablet -- what do I need to make the transfer in the other direction?
View 4 RepliesI have a Xoom tablet ( FE) and after I upgraded to ICS, I can no longer transfer files from my computer to my Xoom. I used a usb cord to copy my Word ducuments to tablet, but the sd card in tablet does not show anything. I did a factory reset and called tech support but nothing works. And there is no way to formet the sd card ( from computer or sd card)
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, when I plug my Xoom via USB into either of my computers (Win 7 x32 or Win 7 x64) the computer recognizes the Xoom, I can see the Internal Storage and the SD Card, but when I open either of these, I see no files. THe only directory that shows up on the Internal Storage is the Android directory.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded some mp4 videos and noticed something strange.1 - When I plug xoom to my Windows 7 notebook, some of these files don't show up, no matter what I do.2 - The Gallery app doesn't show them either.3 - I can play them just fine with the defaut video player if I use any file manager to see the filesIt doesn't really matter where the files are. The videos that do show up can be in any folder and they both show up in gallery and on windows.

All of a sudden Vista stopped copying the folders and daid it can't read from the device.ow after updating the drivers with Download Motorola 5.2.0 Driver with MotoHelper* , checking to see if USB Debugging is unchecked and pulling my hair out, there is no Device Storage displaying to access. I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
I've tried "File Manager" that comes with PC companion but whenever I click "Start" it just opens an explorer windows with the following path "C:Program FilesSony EricssonSony Ericsson PC Companion" ... and I never see my phone mapped as drive in windows?

As the folder name suggests, they're phone messages (I assume so anyway) ! I now want to open these messages but cant find a way to do so! View 3 Replies View RelatedYou know that kindle fire commercial where the mom is on the phone puts her kindle on the roof of the car, forgets it there, drives, and kindle drops on the ground? that happened to me today, but worse, as i was in a rush to go to an appointment, my phone hit the ground pretty hard. obviously the screen is cracked and the screen will not work. it's mostly just dialing 4's and 9's and it's waking up randomly. I cannot unlock my phone to transfer all of my files! I don't have an sd card, everything is kept in the internal memory and I keep everything on my phone! What are my options? I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on but the screen is still messed up. i need to unlock it to allow transfer of files from phone to computer, at least that's the only way i know how to do it. are there any other ways?

This is bizarre, everything was fine until this morning, not sure what's going on but the phone still comes up in Windows 8 file explorer, however as soon as I click the Internal Storage directory, file explorer stalls as the green progress bar slowly crawls along and eventually times out.
The phone says it's in MTP mode.
I looked at the driver supporting this phone for Windows 8 and it says it's from 2006. I found a link for installing thhe Google USB driver but there is no instructions for installing it in Windows 8, the phone not connecting to the computer in MTP mode which isn't an issue for me.
Rebooted the phone and tried again, no luck.
How can I tranfer files from my computer to a blackberry 9630? Do you have to use bluetooth or is there another way? I have the usb cabel.

My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. The files are mainly jpeg images, I could see Name, Size, Take Taken and Tags. This is what Windows Displays for my internal and external hard drives.
Why does Winodws not regard the MZ604 in the same way? Is there any way to inform Windows that the tablet is actually external storage, or a separate computer?
I just bought the wifi xoom model and I need to get my music on it. I use napster and need to get it to recognize my xoom. I also tried to get my music from windows media center and it recognized my device but said it couldn't sync but gave no reason why.

I have accessed my files (mainly movies) from another windows computer just fine. I just got a macbook air for christmas and i tried to access my movies through zumocast on my mac but none of the files showed up. I dont want to put all the files on my new laptop because it only has a 120 SSD installed. Is it possible for me to access those files on my desktop from my mac?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid X for about 6 months and until now have been able to sync music to it with no problem. I have a subscription to the Zune Pass so the files that I sync are DRM protected. Windows Media Player is the only software I know of that can successfully sync these files to my phone. That is until recently. While I am still able to syne non-DRM Mp3's, suddenly now when I try to sync any Zune Pass files (which are WMA files), I get an error telling me that the "device's internal clock is not correct". how I can solve the problem but none of them have worked. One suggestion had me go into WMP's Privacy tab in its Tools menu and select the option to "Set clock on devices automatically", but the option was already selected.
How can I check if my device's internal clock is off? What could I have done to mess it up in the first place?
I would like to think that I am somewhat OK with using the XOOM based on the fact that I have an original DROID and have been dealing with the ANDROID OS for some time now. I have yet to load any files on the XOOM itself, but I was wondering how I go about accessing files once they are put on the XOOM. I have uploaded pictures and placed those in the picture folder but they are easy to find due to the gallery. When plugged into my laptop I can see all of the different folders, but I cannot figure out how to get to them when not plugged into the laptop. You can do a long touch on the DROID homescreen and it will give you the options of seeing, shortcuts, widgets, folders and wallpapers. This is how I would access files with the DROID. It does not work the same for the XOOM.

So, I tried something else: I usually use an application named SwiFTP (an FTP server) on my Android devices. But I don't understand why, this app and all the others FTP apps I tried won't work on my Xoom 2ME. I suspect some kind of Motorola's internal firewall.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsually, I have no problems making the USB connection to my Xoom work. I've been using it for nearly a year with no problems. Today, I noticed that when I connect my USB cable, I can see both the Internal Storage and SD Card devices. However, when I click on the SD Card, I don't see any files. I can see them just fine if I use a file manager on the Xoom so I know that they're there. I just can't see them with my Win7 box. It does know how much space on the SD Card is used/available so it's at least getting some information.
I installed the Motorola drivers to see if that would help but it didn't. I've also rebooted both devices and tried a different USB port on my PC.
I use my xoom for job searches. If I find a job and go to web page to up load resume, upload fails. It states file for mat is incorrect. I have verified file format is correct, any suggestions for fix?Could it be the path for the file location?
