Feb 2, 2010I recently broke the screen on my Tour and got a new phone. I was able to transfer everything from my old phone onto my computer and then onto my new one except for my pictures. I cannot find them when I have my old phone plugged into my computer.How do I get them off my phone?

Aug 30, 2010My tour likes to just stop working every once in a while. Case in point: on long drives through the country, i'll be listening to pandora for 4 hours straight then all of a sudden it will stop loading. then i'll notice that teh web browser wont load websites, ubertwitter wont load, facebook wont load, etc etc. The only thing that makes everything work again is to do a battery pull but of course this gets old.Anyone know what the problem is here or anything? I feel like maybe i'm using "too much data at one time" but in all honestly I dont think that's right.

May 19, 2010I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.

Apr 3, 2010Another other obvious media type file on your bb that either you copied there or might have come as an attachment? Do the tunes, voices, sounds, whatever actually exist in some fashion on your Tour? Or are they really coming from no where on your bb? What I'm trying to figure out, is a number of these "appended" sound files sound obscene or raunchy. So might it be some actual contamination of the OS or are these SOUNDS from things on folks BB's? Yes, I'm sure some folks have "cute" sound files or were sent such files but maybe it is more than that. Maybe the OS really was inappropriately tweaked.

I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on but the screen is still messed up. i need to unlock it to allow transfer of files from phone to computer, at least that's the only way i know how to do it. are there any other ways?

Apr 28, 2010I'm new to the community. A little info about me My name is Steve, I am a Sprint ASC Technician in Indiana. I currently carry a Tour.I've worked on countless BlackBerrys, processed many repairs and exchanges, and have studied these phones from their hardware to their software. However, I have come across a problem that I cannot repair. Let me explain. BlackBerry Tour on Sprint. The device will not power on. I have done the standard protocol on devices that will not power up-- replaced battery, tried to connect to Desktop Manager, try connecting to JL Commander-- none of which had any effect. The owner of the phone has accepted that I will have to order him another one, but has propositioned me outside of work and offered me a handsome reward if I can get the contacts and texts messages off of the old one somehow. I told him how unlikely the possibility is, but with the amount of money he is willing to pay me for it, I am going to try.My question to you gurus out there: What can I do to accomplish such a task? I took his motherboard out and put it in different Tour's housing, hoping it was just some insignificant cable problem from the original housing, but sadly it still did not power on. The device has only been used for about 3 months, and the motherboard has no signs of abuse of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas, crazy or not, how to get this motherboard to power on so I recover his contacts and/or text messages? He bought me a soldering kit and told me if there's ANYTHING else I need to get the job done, let him know no matter the cost.

His only concern is that, in our business we will need to use Handheld Contact to integrate with a program called ACT! and we are not sure that the tour will hold all of our contacts? How many contacts will the tour hold including email addresses any everything? We have over 3000 contacts in our ACT! database.
