I have a Xoom tablet ( FE) and after I upgraded to ICS, I can no longer transfer files from my computer to my Xoom. I used a usb cord to copy my Word ducuments to tablet, but the sd card in tablet does not show anything. I did a factory reset and called tech support but nothing works. And there is no way to formet the sd card ( from computer or sd card)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Vista on my desktop computer. I see Xoom under "My Computer", I found "Device Storage" and started copying the files from Xoom to a new folder. All of a sudden Vista stopped copying the folders and daid it can't read from the device.ow after updating the drivers with Download Motorola 5.2.0 Driver with MotoHelper* , checking to see if USB Debugging is unchecked and pulling my hair out, there is no Device Storage displaying to access. View 3 Replies View RelatedYou know that kindle fire commercial where the mom is on the phone puts her kindle on the roof of the car, forgets it there, drives, and kindle drops on the ground? that happened to me today, but worse, as i was in a rush to go to an appointment, my phone hit the ground pretty hard. obviously the screen is cracked and the screen will not work. it's mostly just dialing 4's and 9's and it's waking up randomly. I cannot unlock my phone to transfer all of my files! I don't have an sd card, everything is kept in the internal memory and I keep everything on my phone! What are my options? I've tried shutting it down and turning it back on but the screen is still messed up. i need to unlock it to allow transfer of files from phone to computer, at least that's the only way i know how to do it. are there any other ways?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using my ray for 6 months. Today I observed that all the files were invisible on my computer, eventhough SD card was full. My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave got 2 broadband dongles (Vodafone and 3) and used both SIMs in the XOOM and they worked fine (after the obligatory reboot). However they no longer work and try as I might i can't get them to work.
If it helps when there is no SIM in the tablet I don't get the No SIM present on the home page screen.
I have tried everything even a factory reset but nothing. don't make me buy an iPad - i couldn't stand it!
Other symptons are that the battery life seems to be much shorter now but this could be an illusion.
PDF and DOC attachments are no longer opening on my xoom (wi-fi only). It used to ask what program I wanted to use to open the attachment. Now the screen goes slightly gray and the attachment does not open in any program.

Have checked all the settings, it is still set to sync.. I have went in and stopped the calendar app and restarted, still not syncing.. I have tried everything short of a soft Xoom reboot..Have shut down and rebooted both, still won't sync.. The loss of this function is not acceptable..

Facebook recently made some changes to its application and it won't show up any longer on the Honeycomb market. If you have it on there already it should work.
But I suggest you given FriendMe a try. It's a very nice Facebook app that takes advantage of some Honeycomb capabilites. I use it over the regular Facebook app (mine still works) despite a few bugs.
Verizon Xoom 3.2 Watching a movie that I transferred to the Xoom from my computer like I've been doing for months now (even after the 3.2 update). Paused it to take care of some things. Come back in about 20 minutes and the Xoom is locked up. Had to do a volume up/power button to restart it.After restarting, movies won't play. Neither will video taken with the Xoom. When I go into Gallery and touch a video, the screen sort of dims but nothing else happens. Normally when I select a movie, I get a choice of stock player or RockPlayer.If I open RockPlayer from my Apps, I can play the movie.I did an additional power down/power up but still video will not work.

Also, the serial number selection is not clear since 3G users seem to use the MEID, but I've been asked for my Wifi MAC address before. This time I tried to simply enter my "serial number" as stated in the Xoom status screen. But I can't get past #1 issue above, it is trying to require me to enter a Moto phone as well.

Today, all of my bookmarks on my FE disappeared, and the browser refuses to sync to my Google account. I've logged into Chrome and all of my bookmarks are intact. Also, running stock 3.1 not rooted, no tomfoolery has been had with this device.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to think that I am somewhat OK with using the XOOM based on the fact that I have an original DROID and have been dealing with the ANDROID OS for some time now. I have yet to load any files on the XOOM itself, but I was wondering how I go about accessing files once they are put on the XOOM. I have uploaded pictures and placed those in the picture folder but they are easy to find due to the gallery. When plugged into my laptop I can see all of the different folders, but I cannot figure out how to get to them when not plugged into the laptop. You can do a long touch on the DROID homescreen and it will give you the options of seeing, shortcuts, widgets, folders and wallpapers. This is how I would access files with the DROID. It does not work the same for the XOOM.

So, I tried something else: I usually use an application named SwiFTP (an FTP server) on my Android devices. But I don't understand why, this app and all the others FTP apps I tried won't work on my Xoom 2ME. I suspect some kind of Motorola's internal firewall.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsually, I have no problems making the USB connection to my Xoom work. I've been using it for nearly a year with no problems. Today, I noticed that when I connect my USB cable, I can see both the Internal Storage and SD Card devices. However, when I click on the SD Card, I don't see any files. I can see them just fine if I use a file manager on the Xoom so I know that they're there. I just can't see them with my Win7 box. It does know how much space on the SD Card is used/available so it's at least getting some information.
I installed the Motorola drivers to see if that would help but it didn't. I've also rebooted both devices and tried a different USB port on my PC.
I use my xoom for job searches. If I find a job and go to web page to up load resume, upload fails. It states file for mat is incorrect. I have verified file format is correct, any suggestions for fix?Could it be the path for the file location?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, when I plug my Xoom via USB into either of my computers (Win 7 x32 or Win 7 x64) the computer recognizes the Xoom, I can see the Internal Storage and the SD Card, but when I open either of these, I see no files. THe only directory that shows up on the Internal Storage is the Android directory.

The same thing happened when I tried to open a .jpg photo.I tried tapping on the icon and I tried holding it down, double clicking, etc. Either I forgot what to do to open a file or something has changed on my Xoom.
