BB (RIM) :: 8700 Registering To Network

This began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.
##21# give me "Supplementary service error: Unknown error."
Any ideas about what might be wrong with my trusty 8700 and how to fix it?

I am urrently subscribed to BIS with my network provider, I recently upgraded my Blackberry Bold 9700 from os 5 to 6 and since after then, my PIN could not be registered to the network. I check my host routing table and its currently empty...I sent a message with my phone but got no response back, I have turn on and off the phone still no response, I also remove the battery and reinserted it yet there is no reponse still

I bought a BlackBerry 9900 from a friend of myn..who bought it from a seller ho said him that it has the phone from Hungary factory. .I called my service provider, Vodafone Romania, I bought a BIS Plan and when they guide me to configurate the phone they told me that they are not receiveng confirmation from Blackberry for this PIN/IMEI and they can't register..

I changed sim card on my phone, and ever since no matter whether I use my old or new sim card, I am only able to make/receive phone calls and browse. I am not able to use bbm or email. Any ideas how to fix that?

I have a slight problem with my Blackberry 9850,(everything else works ie BBM ok, Internet ok, SMS/MMS ok, incoming and otgoing calls ok, but i cant set up emails it keep asking me to register my device via ---> Options----> Advance options------>host routing table and register.....
I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail.They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).

i purchased a new blackberry curve 9220 from that day i m using vodafone sim, but the problem is that my phone is not registed on the network and therefore i can't use my bbm services i raised a complaint on vodafone store 3 days back ,,but still im not getting the answer?

I upgraded to the .419 release last night. Seems to be pretty good so far.The weird thing I am seeing today is that whenever I do a battery pull (several times today re-registering apps) I get a email in the Message box saying something about registration on the network was successful.

when I reformat my Nokia 5233 using code [*#7370#] my nokia apps pre-installed on my phone automatically sends registring message which is charged by some network providers. Is there any way to overcome this problem or removing my nokia apps from my phone.

I just have bought STORM 2 from some guy, and I put my GSM card (with BIS activated and working on my BB CURVE 8900), but I can't register for BIS on my network. Everything is working, like calls, SMS, GPRS, MMS but BIS can't tbe activated.When I try to go on my operator's webpage to register my phone, I get this message:Cannot create account: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated. Please contact.your wireless service provider at XXX XXX XXX.What to do? What seems to be a problem? IS this phone blacklisted, or something? Removed personal information to comply with Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use.

I downloaded the latest OS file for my 8700, installed it on my windows 7 laptop as I cant install it on my mac. It prompted to restart after installation. After restart, I'm trying to find out from where I can launch the loader and update my 8700.
My 8700 is currently on OS 4.1 and when I connect to DM and try to update, it shows "No updates available"

I have an LG8700 shine phone and now it doesn't seem to be making any ringtone noises. I did recently clear out all the sounds/mp3s on my phone but shouldn't there be sounds/ringtones built in to the phone? When I press buttons though sounds come through the speaker so I don't believe it's a speaker problem.Also Is there a way to master reset the phone to factory settings? I'm with Telus in Canada..

I have a user (Older Company VIP) that will only use Blackberry 8700's A few weeks ago we gave him another 8700 because the roller on his old one had broken and now he can not open attachments. When you select the file it sends you to another screen that shows the file name Table of contents and Full contents, but when you select that you still are not allowed to open the attachment. We are using BES Version: 5.0.3.31

I just got a Blackberry 8700.I loaded my sim card that has all my contacts into it and fired up the phone.I followed the instructions to load the contacts to the address book but I cant get it to work. The instructions say to go to the address book, click the track wheel and then go to SIM phone book.Well I dont have the SIM phone book option for some reason.

I have an 8700g Blackberry phone and I mistakenly downloaded an application that is only supported by software version 4.0 or greater. ( my phone had software version 2.2? ) . I had to replace the battery today and when I put in the new battery, it tried to start up but the red light comes on and the hourglass flashes on and off but after two hours it will still not start up. What should I do?

When I tried to download the device software (v4.5) to my already downloaded DTM (v4.6), it gave me an error message I did not know what to do with.I want to synch my organizer data (calendar, contacts) from older desktop (Outlook 2002) to my new laptop (Outlook 2007, Windows 7). I am having trouble downloading the supporting device software. I keep getting an error message that reads "Error with the Application Loader. Cannot update software using this system as device is currently activated on a blackberry Enterprise Server or professional software. Contact administrator or check with service provider." I do not use Enterprise. I don't have an internet service plan for my phone as I use it only for calendar and contacts. AT&T gives the software option for AT&T 8700 in English device software as v4.1.0.175 as the only option that is supported by my current platform (2.0.0.90).All I really want to update my phone with the latest software that supports Outlook 2007 on my new laptop.

This is my second iPhone 4s. When I connect my iPhone to my car radio via a USB port to play music, my stereo registers that my iPhone is plugged in but nothing plays. I know my radio is iPhone compatible because my first iPhone 4s worked without any problems.

a week ago i bought pre owned used(second hand) blackberry 9520 storm 2 from someone. i decided to use blackberry internet service to control my email (gmail, yahoo etc.) accounts. İ called my mobile provider to purchase data plan. Everything is ok to here but after some problems achived. My provider has a erorr when they trying to subscribe my device to RIM servers. Accordıng to thecnical person cause of errors are my imei and pin numbers. How i can check my imei and pin numbers are compatible with each other and also they're registered or not registered to RIM database.

iv just bought a curve 9300 from my mate payed to have it unlocked to all networks and done a system wipe on it so all details are gone from the phone was told to go to host routing table and then click ''register now'' but nothing has happened and really wanna start using my bbm but have been told that without doing this I can't?

I registered two of my fingers on my phone.
Seemed to work for a while and then more or less stopped working.
So I decided to re register my fingers, but it says that I must use a existing finger to unlock and proceed!!! Which I can't do because they don't work and is the reason I am doing this!!!
