I have a slight problem with my Blackberry 9850,(everything else works ie BBM ok, Internet ok, SMS/MMS ok, incoming and otgoing calls ok, but i cant set up emails it keep asking me to register my device via ---> Options----> Advance options------>host routing table and register.....
I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail. They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).
This began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.
##21# give me "Supplementary service error: Unknown error."
Any ideas about what might be wrong with my trusty 8700 and how to fix it?
I am urrently subscribed to BIS with my network provider, I recently upgraded my Blackberry Bold 9700 from os 5 to 6 and since after then, my PIN could not be registered to the network. I check my host routing table and its currently empty...I sent a message with my phone but got no response back, I have turn on and off the phone still no response, I also remove the battery and reinserted it yet there is no reponse still
I bought a BlackBerry 9900 from a friend of myn..who bought it from a seller ho said him that it has the phone from Hungary factory. .I called my service provider, Vodafone Romania, I bought a BIS Plan and when they guide me to configurate the phone they told me that they are not receiveng confirmation from Blackberry for this PIN/IMEI and they can't register..
I changed sim card on my phone, and ever since no matter whether I use my old or new sim card, I am only able to make/receive phone calls and browse. I am not able to use bbm or email. Any ideas how to fix that?

I upgraded to the .419 release last night. Seems to be pretty good so far.The weird thing I am seeing today is that whenever I do a battery pull (several times today re-registering apps) I get a email in the Message box saying something about registration on the network was successful.
when I reformat my Nokia 5233 using code [*#7370#] my nokia apps pre-installed on my phone automatically sends registring message which is charged by some network providers. Is there any way to overcome this problem or removing my nokia apps from my phone.
I have a blackberry that belonged to my wife and I am now going to use it. I have reset the factory settings and tried to register my email account on the phone. When doing this I get an error message that says, 'the user names is invalid. A user name must be 4 characters or more'. I wasnt provided with the email company providers to select from as usually happens and my username is more than 4 characters.
I have the new Torch 9850 and the other day it died I had it unplugged all night and in the morning it was needing charged and i pushed one button and it started to come on but died so I then plugged it in and all i got was a red LED light and I could not get it to come on at all even after letting it charge for awhile and now I have nothing at all not even the LED light
Ok, totally frustrated- I traded storm for torch 9850 and lost my mobile checkbook app. i was told to uninstall then reinstall. wont work. I tried to rebuy, doesnt work. I get purchase error ID 30220. contacted mobateck
When I first set up the phone, I got them fine, but after a few days they stopped coming in. I learned to re-register the phone on the network with the Host Router Table. After I do that, the messages pour in. Sadly, I have to do this at least once a day, sometimes twice, which is ridiculous since my Tour worked perfectly on the same US Cellular network only a few months ago."Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available."
I have just purchase a US Cellular Blackberry Torch 9850 but in my city they have not coverage so I went to a AT&T store to activate it, as the phone accept GSM networks but the phone does not accept any sim, at the top appears "Insert SIM card"They tryed to unlock the phone but it does not accept SIMS Does US Cellular use any kind of protection?
A couple of days ago my blackberry torch 9850 shut off randomly during the day and since then has been so slow that it takes(I timed it) 45 seconds to open an e-mail message. I've tried taking the battery out, I've reset it a few times and I'm working on reinstalling the operating system.
I've read a bunch of forums and most places say that I have to do an operating system reinstall every few months because THIS IS A FEATURE OF THIS PHONE? Is there a permanent fix for this or do I have to switch back to my android?
I recently moved over to tmobile from sprint with my device and the voice and normal texting work fine. BUt I cannot get on app world or bbm because it wont connect to blackberry service and I am paying for it. what can I do to trouble shoot my phone and get bbm and app world working.
1. When I use BB Desktop software to transfer data between phones and whatever else, do I lose the apps, icons, etc that came with the new phone? 2. At the same time I received the new Torch I want to break with my company's enterprise server. However when I moved data it also moved the company's email account over also. In the new 9850, how can I break from the enterprise server and delete that email account on the new phone?
Reboot froze last night, removed battery umteen times will not fix. BB RIM support spent 5 hrs today went to tier 2 and they could not get phone to load correctly. Reboot still freezes 3/4 of the way through.
I am not able to access BIS on my 9850 brought from ebay. Am trying to use it in Lagos, Nigeria (where I work) with Glo Telecom. When I restart the phone it shows US Cellular. On the back cover I can see Verizon Logo. My supplier says that it is fully unlocked, and I am able to make phone calls, check balance etc on the new network. The phone shows the network name (Glo ng), etc.The SIM card is the same I was using with my earlier BB (Storm) and has a BIS plan activated and was working before. But the 9850 says I dont have a data plan. I tried using SIM cards from other operators as well, it shows 3G at times and when set to 2G network, it shows "edge" in small letters.
I tried manual registration as well, but did not get any response. The Host Routing Table shows "No entries".Also cannot see any option for Internet email set-up. Only Enerprise Email activation comes up.I am able to use facebook and App World through Wi-Fi. Can Internet email service (Gmail) also be configured through Wi-Fi?I have spoken to US Cellular Customer Service. And he said that there is no issue. If I am not using their network, then the PIN might have been released by US Cellular.
When updated software I lost all my purchased apps frm bbm app world niw app world has no history of any of my downloards or apps how to get this straighten out?
I have a Torch 9850 that has been shutting down repeatedly. It seems to crash and I have to do a battery pull for it to restart and when it does, it shuts back off again! The phone stays on and works fine while the charger is plugged in but as soon as the charger is removed, it shuts off again.
I have had the phone app freeze on incoming calls. This is a rather fundamental problem for a brand new phone. I can't seem to find were to get the message to BB otherwise.
I plugged my Torch 9850 into wall charger last night to charge. I woke up and the LED was slowly blinking red on and off. I pulled battery and that didn't reboot device. I plugged device into computer, and blackberry manager and computer recognize device when led is on but when led goes off it disconnects. It continues to go through this cycle of connecting and disconnect if connected to computer. Additionally, if I remove the battery the same process happens when connected to computer with no battery message on screen. Finally, with battery in but disconnected from power and computer the led still continues to blink but wont let me power on.
I bought a Torch one week ago. Unfortunately, I will return it due to a weak signal. I had a Tour before and although I live in a rural area, my Tour rarely dropped a call and the internet worked well even with only 1 or 2 bars. When I brought home my new Torch I was pleased at frequently SEEING 2 or 3 bars AND usually seeing 3G. Then, when I started using the phone, what a far cry the reality was from bars. Even my carrier advised me to get the Bold because a customer had already called reporting a weak signal with her nrw Torch and would be returning it. I have since searched on the internet and found others with the same issue. The only conclusion I can come to is the coverage signal strength reported is incorrect. Related to a weak signal is having less than 5 hours battery with no use, just having the phone on. I have turned off the GPS tp stop the battery drain but see no improvement.I would also comment on a less than clear sound quality as well.
I have a problem with the Auto Keyboard when I'm on a site that wants you to type in your email. I get an email type keyboard that has a DOT on the space bar for email. I have reported this so many times. What happens is the @ sign is on the first page of the key board as well as the .com, the DOT is on the space bar so it doesn't function as a space bar, but the problem is when you try to enter a DOT off the space bar it will not print it. I have reported this and was told the next update to the OS would fix this. Well the last OS update v7.1.0.580 is the last update and it is still the same. Can't RIM send out a small add on to fix just this? What I have to do is use the .com key and then back space to the DOT and then type in the rest of my email. Example: jcjones@satx.rr.com so I have to type it jcjones@satx.com backspace out the com, leaving the . type in the rr and then push the .com key. What a hassel why can't this be addressed? Oh and the email in this post is not mine, I made it up, so it may belong to someone or not. There is no way to do a screen grab or anything like that to attach a pic because the keyboard is on top of everything on the screen.
