I changed sim card on my phone, and ever since no matter whether I use my old or new sim card, I am only able to make/receive phone calls and browse. I am not able to use bbm or email. Any ideas how to fix that?

I bought a BlackBerry 9900 from a friend of myn..who bought it from a seller ho said him that it has the phone from Hungary factory. .I called my service provider, Vodafone Romania, I bought a BIS Plan and when they guide me to configurate the phone they told me that they are not receiveng confirmation from Blackberry for this PIN/IMEI and they can't register..

I check my host routing table and its currently empty...I sent a message with my phone but got no response back, I have turn on and off the phone still no response, I also remove the battery and reinserted it yet there is no reponse still
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.

I have a slight problem with my Blackberry 9850,(everything else works ie BBM ok, Internet ok, SMS/MMS ok, incoming and otgoing calls ok, but i cant set up emails it keep asking me to register my device via ---> Options----> Advance options------>host routing table and register.....
I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail.They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).
i purchased a new blackberry curve 9220 from that day i m using vodafone sim, but the problem is that my phone is not registed on the network and therefore i can't use my bbm services i raised a complaint on vodafone store 3 days back ,,but still im not getting the answer?

Seems to be pretty good so far.The weird thing I am seeing today is that whenever I do a battery pull (several times today re-registering apps) I get a email in the Message box saying something about registration on the network was successful.

I've done the whole Host Routing Table routine several times and each time I get a message saying my device has been registered but when I try to add an account I get the same 'Device not registered' message. I downloaded the OS package for that carrier from URL...and installed it on my pc.It then asked me if i wanted to run the desktop manager and i chose to do so.i plugged my bb in and clickd on the application loader -> update software but there was no option for the v.5.0 software.
I bought my phone one month ago unlocked. Then I used it with a Claro (Argentina Operator) for 15 days. After a very long international call my number run out of credit and I got my accont disable. The problem is that after that moment the SIM card cannot register in the operator network anymore. If i try the SIM in another device it works. If i put a working CLARO SIM on my Z3 it doesnt work. But if I insert another operator SIM in my device it works! When i search for network i can see all the operators network, but it fail to connect to CLARO operator.

My previous 8900 worked fine? I have been on the phone with the carrier the entire day and they have not been able to resolve it. The customer tried to sync his blackberry with blackberry desktop and few hours later start an amazing number of new emails into one of his POP3 mail accounts.the emails follow this problem http://www.blackberry.com/select/es/support/kb/internet/KB04254_-1.shtml so yes, the customer did install the desktop with BES option and he have BIS. carrier: Movistar - Uruguay Blackberry 8520 @ 4.6 few screens to be clear and help to explain as the previous link says i had:
- Uninstalled the Blackberry Desktop software from pc.
- Deleted all Service Books
- Whipe the phone (also third party apps)
- Deleted the BIS Account
- i did checked if it has the right configuration at admin provisioning site (was right,it had BIS)
- Made a new BIS account
- Added the two customer Email accounts
- Restored the backup of phonebook, calendar, tasks, sms, email. (NO service books restored)
but two hours later, the customer once again get the unstoppable mail, the mails came to his mail box, not just the divice, and is just with one of his accounts. did i do something wrong? what more can i do? any suggestions?
To take full advantage of a 4G network must the device be designed for a 4G network.most new 3G smartphones indicate 4G compatible but does that mean they will perform at 4G speeds? If the samrtphone must be 4G does anyone know when 4G devices will be released?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I use a Blackberry Curve 8530 and I have been having serious problems for the last two weeks. Every time I try to turn on my "Mobile Network" in Manage Connections, the device crashes then tries to reboot.It will continue trying to reboot until the progress bar in the Blackberry loading screen is full, then crashes again. It will do this until the battery is entirely drained.Because a drained battery causes the Mobile Network to automatically shut off, I can then plug the phone back into charge and it will turn on and be fine - until I try to turn on the Mobile Network, upon which the process repeats itself. -File free before and after a battery remove/replace: 103829099 Bytes
-Did a battery pull fix your issue? No

Desktop mgr 5.0.1.37.When I connect (via USB) the connection appears to be recognised - clock appears on BB and PC beeps. After a few minutes PC & BB icons appear on BB screen but no interconnecting arrows. When I try to sync there is no device and PIN number showing on Device Mgr so it doesn't sync. Then the Desktop Mgr greys out and appears to freeze - I then have to disconnect the BB to unfreeze.
Device manager shows two RIM virtual serial ports v2 Com 3 & Com 4. If I try to update the drivers it says most up to date are loaded although the drivers are dated 24 Nov 2008 and are version 2.2.0.3 and appear to be called RimSerial_AMD64.sys (I'm using Intel i7 processor).
Devices & Printers screen shows a RIM Composite Device icon.
Windows in Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Can I find an IPhone that is no longer connected to a phone service, but which is still connected to our WiFi network?
