I recently bought a new laptop. I transferred my iTunes library to the new computer, deauthorised my old library and authorised my new library. I've synced my iPhone a few times but it's not adding new apps to my iPhone, or syncing contacts, bookmarks etc
View 1 RepliesMy phone won't register when I hook it up to the USB port on my laptop. I haven't had any issues before, and the last thing that happened to my phone was that I updated the OS to the latest version (5.0.0.681). I did this on Monday and tried to hook my phone to my computer yesterday (first time since update). It wasn't recognized and I messed around with it for a while. I eventually did something that got it to work, but I disconnected it and since then, I haven't been able to re-hook it up. When I do hook it up, my phone charges, but my computer doesn't realize it's there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is my second iPhone 4s. When I connect my iPhone to my car radio via a USB port to play music, my stereo registers that my iPhone is plugged in but nothing plays. I know my radio is iPhone compatible because my first iPhone 4s worked without any problems.

Am i wrong to point out that everyone taking the risk of messing with thier sim by cutting it down is, in fact, taking an unnecessary risk? Reports are coming in that UK carriers are supplying micro sims to those who are registering interest and are existing customers... so why risk it?

If I have to register it via iTunes before i can do anything with it then i guess i can do this on a Mac at the store right (making sure i sign out properly after having finished doing this ofcourse)?I have already downloaded the apps i will be installing via iTunes to my netbook. i'm guessing i simply plug the ip4 into my netbook and install them on the way home...or will i need an internet connection to install already 'downloaded' apps?
When my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) loads a new page in Safari it randomly sometimes does not register first touch if I try to scroll it. Afterwards everything is fine. Maybe page is still loading and lags somewhere in process.
Anybody experiencing the same thing?
Since updating to the latest (5.1.1) my phone is barely usable for anything mroe than 'just' a phone and basic texting. Web browsing is terribly slow - regardless of if using data network or wireless connection at home. Apps are slow to respond and often the touch screen doesn't even register being touched or registers the touch incorrectly (wrong position for ex.)

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.

a week ago i bought pre owned used(second hand) blackberry 9520 storm 2 from someone. i decided to use blackberry internet service to control my email (gmail, yahoo etc.) accounts. İ called my mobile provider to purchase data plan. Everything is ok to here but after some problems achived. My provider has a erorr when they trying to subscribe my device to RIM servers. Accordıng to thecnical person cause of errors are my imei and pin numbers. How i can check my imei and pin numbers are compatible with each other and also they're registered or not registered to RIM database.

I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail.They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).

Seemed to work for a while and then more or less stopped working.
So I decided to re register my fingers, but it says that I must use a existing finger to unlock and proceed!!! Which I can't do because they don't work and is the reason I am doing this!!!
My service provider is Three UK. I'm currently on a trip to Switzerland where my screen broke, and after being screwed around by the Swiss repair factory that Sony uses for three weeks, I've finally got my phone back, except now it's not connecting to the available network (Salt.). The networks show up in the list of searches, but after spinning on "registering on network" for a few minutes all I get is the usual "can't connect to network, please try again later" nonsense. The wifi works, however. I've tried repairing it with Sony Bridge for Mac, still nothing.
When I had a Z2 I had a similar issue once after sending it off for repairs for a broken screen- the repair people dinged up the internal antenna during repairs and it wouldn't connect when it got back. I sent it off again and they fixed it. Could this be the problem now, even though the wifi is working? I have a flight back to the UK in a day and I don't have time to send it off to the same company.
I am on my 3rd replacement phone now because of this issue and just figured out why it is happening. everytime i get a replacement and update it from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 is starts missing key strokes.. My current replacement i purposely didnt update and it works absolutely perfectly. I have tested 4 phones now and all of them have the same exact issue. I believe the reason most people dont realize it is because of word prediction. most of the time Word Prediction will put the correct word in even tho it misses keystroke. My brother has an s6 and he didnt even realize it till i had him test it like i tested mine. I did notice it tho and got really annoyed by it and started returning phones until i realized that they all had the same issue.. Worked perfectly on 5.0.2, but as soon as i updated to 5.1.1 they started missing keystrokes.
This is how i tested and proofed to Verizon that my phone was not working right:
disable "word prediction" in the samsung keyboard settings.
in the texting app type the first row of keys and press enter repeatedly so it looks like this:

repeat about 10 to 20 times. If your phone has the same issues as all my replacements you should see missed keys 2 to 5 times in your repeated words

When doing this I get an error message that says, 'the user names is invalid. A user name must be 4 characters or more'. I wasnt provided with the email company providers to select from as usually happens and my username is more than 4 characters.

I have gone through the Host Routing table regsiter but still nothing. Virgin's call centre do not allow you to access their Virgin Blackberry help team directly, and in fact claim they can only email them themselves. The call centre say the Blackberries are very popular and I will have to wait 3 days for the Virgin Blackberry team to contact me. I obviously would like to get my 8520 up and running. Do I have to wait for Virgin? Should I draw the conclusion that Virgin are all marketing mouth and no Blackberry trousers?

Recently, because of their 3G I got a BSNL sim with bb service and I am trying to use the same handset on their network. It is not registering with the bb network. I am not able to send and receive text messages too. I can not browse in default browser, but can browse with Bolt. I can not use Appworld either. BSNL people have said that it is properly set up at their end. Is there anything I can do to be on bsnl bb service?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch but i think any phone could develope this problem. i frequently use my phone is hotspots and whenever i connected to the internet via those routers and modems, the little blackberry logo appears next to my wireless icon which signifys that it has connected to the BIS service via the ADSL router so when i stream videos and download files, i dont get charged. in the last few days, the little blackberry logo has only connected via my 3G and GPRS. i can connect to the ADSL router but the little blackberry logo stays on my 3G or GPRS and doesnt appear next to my wireless icon so when i stream videos or download files, it charges me since it is downloading from the network and not the router. how do i force it to connect to the internet via the ADSL router instead of the network. I have tried a hard restart and also disabling the network connection but it still doesnt connect via the router so i don't get emails or bbm messages. i have also registered via the "host routing table" which is located in "options/device/advanced system settings" and i get a message to say it has registered but it is still the same. i dont know what to do as now i have a large bill because everyday i stream videos via my phone,
